World Cup Opera Singer Is Dead

Nelson Mandela has chosen a South African singer to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony. Siphiwo Ntshebe died at the age of 34 due to meningitis. He was admitted to the hospital in Port Elizabeth last week and died on Tuesday. Ntshebe was scheduled to perform his new track Hope at the opening ceremony in Johannesburg on June 11. According to Nick Raphael, Epic boss, Ntshebe’s death was a tragedy for all those who believe in the power of music. His voice was truly wondrous and his music was unique in its melodies and the messages of hope and compassion are also truly inspiring. His new track Hope was a soaring track. It features a special message of hope and compassion which was written and spoken by Mandela. The track and an album with the same name were due to be released to go together with the World Cup. According to Pumza Fihlani in Johannesburg, Ntshebe was relatively not famous in South Africa. His appearance at the World Cup opening ceremony would have introduced him to a much wider audience in his own country. By now, you probably know a bit about Tiger Woods’ home. It’s on a private street, tire tracks across the lawn, it’s got a busted fire hydrant nearby, and may have some nice dings in the decor from 9-iron-wielding wives . Standard stuff. But Woods’ plans for his 12-acre property nearby in Jupiter Island include some surprising details – such as a room devoted to oxygen therapy. Through his attorney, Woods filed paperwork to begin work on a practice golf course, a series of pools and the oxygen room for his 9,000-square-foot home. Such rooms typically feature a hyperbaric chamber, which delivers pure oxygen to the body and helps athletes heal injuries and ward off arthritis, fatigue, etc. Tiger is currently battling a bulging disk in his neck/back. GETTING SOME AIR : Tiger Woods could really use some . Tiger Woods has said he has received oxygen treatment in a hyperbaric chamber, which may take a year to complete along with his own practice golf course. Supposedly, Michael Jackson slept in one in hopes of looking younger, although all the plastic surgeries and chemical addictions might have run counter to it. The report added that the paperwork offers no indication of who will live at the house, as Tiger sorts out his private life and his divorce from Elin Woods looms. No divorce papers have been filed, but the drama is already in full swing, with swirling rumors that Elin wants $750 million and no confidentiality agreement.

With his divorce from Sandra Bullock looming, Jesse James has reportedly turned to eBay to earn some extra cash. Been there, Jesse James. Been there. America’s Most Hated is listing rare pre-war bicycles and other belongings like West Coast Choppers memorabilia, parts and a hand-painted mini coffin. No word if the hat from the Jesse James Nazi pic is available. The Web site quotes one of James’ buyers as leaving encouraging feedback after a transaction: “And the Oscar for best eBaying goes toooo… thanks.” Whatever that means. Jesse James is looking to make some money online. Who isn’t? “Jesse is trying to lead a very quiet life now,” a source tells Us of Sandra Bullock’s cheating soon-to-be-ex. “He wants to get back to a normal routine.” While James may be pinching pennies, Bullock, on the other hand, has pulled out all the stops to spoil her four-month-old adopted son, Louis Bardo. Settling into her new mom role , the actress recently spent $248 on baby clothes during a 45-minute boutique shopping spree in Austin, Tx., May 14. Bullock, who confirmed her divorce and adoption of Louis the same day, looks committed to immersing herself fully and quickly into life sans Jesse.

No papers have even been filed yet and things are already getting nasty in the Tiger Woods divorce, with his lawyers accusing Elin Woods’ of leaking to the media. Elin’s lawyer, London-based Walter H. White, sent an email to his staff April 19, saying he’d “been accused by the other side of leaking information to the press.”

Report: Matt Lauer Splits With Wife

Wow…we’re more than a little shocked. The National Enquirer is reporting that Matt Lauer and his wife of twelve years Annette Roque have separated amidst allegations of infidelity. According to the magazine, Lauer moved out two months ago after Annette accused him of cheating on her with two Canadian broadcasters while covering the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. The couple, who have three children, are reportedly under pressure from the network to keep Lauer’s indiscretions under wraps. Since when did keeping your image as a family man become more important than actually being one?

Sandra Bullock Divorce Papers Formally Filed

Sandra Bullock filed for divorce from Jesse James, as we reported earlier today. We were taking her at her word, though, as no record of it turned up. Until now. The Oscar winner, who also announced today that she’s adopting a baby boy , filed papers in Travis County Court in Austin, Texas, April 23. She and Jesse will truly be on their own after the divorce is finalized , too. Neither party will be entitled to spousal support from the other, per the filing. It will be a clean break, and for Sandra, probably can’t come fast enough. In order to get “spousal maintenance” the couple must have been married for a minimum of 10 years. Sandra and Jesse James are coming up on five. Jesse James, you blew it man . Her petition is no-fault, claiming the marriage is irretrievably broken, and all assets will be divided 50/50, unless a prenup states otherwise, of course. You knew after her wedding ring came off about a week ago that a divorce was just a matter of time, but nevertheless, this dissolution is pretty prompt. Then again, we’re probably just used to covering Tiger Woods news. As for how long the divorce will take, the minimum time is 60 days from the date of filing. Expect this to be stamped at 12:01 a.m. on that 60th day. No word if Jesse will dial up Michelle McGee immediately thereafter.
