While promoting her upcoming third studio album Prism, the 28-year-old pop star gave a sneak peek into her life with boyfriend John Mayer — and why he’s such a smarty pants, shedding some light on just how her life has changed since her divorce from comedian Russell Brand. “He literally is a genius, as is evident from his songwriting,” the “Roar” singer told Billboard in its latest issue about Mayer. “I always tell him, ‘Darling, you know I’m going to have to give your mind to science after you’ve passed, because we’re going to have to understand how all these sparks work.’” The “Firework” star is focused on her new album — set to hit stores Oct. 22 — and is on a different path from just two years ago. In the Billboard interview, Perry also dishes on when veteran journalist Barbara Walters threw “shade” at her during Walters’ Most Fascinating People of 2011 special. At the time, Perry knew her 14-month marriage to husband Brand was close to being over, and now admits she wish she never sat down for the chat. “I shouldn’t have done the interview: I was playing Madison Square Garden that same night, and I knew that the end of my marriage was coming,” she recalled. “I’d prepped everyone that I was running late, but Barbara showed up at the original time anyway. When I got there, I apologized immediately, but then she said to me, ‘You know, I’ve only ever waited for one other person this long, and you know who that person was? Judy Garland. You know how she turned out, right?’” Perry added: “I was like, ‘Oh, snap! Yes, bitch!’ I think it’s the coolest thing that Barbara Walters shaded me. I just couldn’t tell her as we were sitting down for a mega-interview, ‘Hey, my marriage is falling apart. Give me a break.’” Brand, 38, would later file for divorce on Dec. 30, 2011, just two weeks after the special aired. The difficult situation Perry experienced at the time would soon lead to fighting off suicidal thoughts, which she then wrote about in her upcoming “By the Grace of God” track. “That song is evident of how tough it really was at a certain point. I asked myself, ‘Do I want to endure? Should I continue living?’” she said. “All the songs are real-life moments. I can only write autobiographically. I put all the evidence in the music. Dear Bossip , I’m in need of advice. I got married two years ago. A few months later I got pregnant. My husband didn’t have a job and we got evicted. He moved in with his family and I left the state. When I left I was 7 months pregnant. I had my 8-year old daughter, a small suitcase of clothes, and 32 dollars in my pocket. I didn’t know how or what was going to happen, but I knew my children and I would be okay. It wasn’t easy, but a mouth later I had a place. I didn’t have a job and nobody was going to hire me at 8months. I started going to Goodwill to work for store credit. I was finally established and ready to give birth. When I had the baby I was alone. Nobody was there and my husband didn’t come. Three weeks later I took the baby to meet him. Two months later he moved in. Now, I’m not the one to take care of a man, but I felt like I should try to work it out. Another thing is I fuss a lot! So, I rode him daily about getting a job. Eight months later he has a death in his family. His family doesn’t like me and always insult me. He tells me that it’s my fault and even told me not to answer my phone when they call and he isn’t around. So, my husband tells me not to come to the funeral. I stayed home. The morning of the funeral he called and said he would call afterward. He never called so I texted him and he said he was at the after party! (The person who died was 80 something and never partied). Well, he never called and later said he was with family and they told him not to call. So, a few days later he gets a job and tells me he didn’t get one because I nag too much. And, I wouldn’t give him sex. He had to sleep on the couch. I’m pretty sure I blew a gasket. I work to provide and he lay up while I struggle to buy diapers and formula. I didn’t have sex with him because I don’t want more kids and feel like I am worth more than that. He claims he will be back next month but I don’t want him to come back. I feel like a dumba** for supporting him when I could have given more to my children. I am pissed and mad at myself for putting up with it. I don’t know what to do. He told me he would take my baby if I divorce him. But, honestly I am not ready to go to court or have the money for it. His family will pay for his lawyer. Now, that right there should have been the cause for you to file the divorce papers from the beginning. Next time he calls tell him to kiss the inside of your a** and have several seats on the slow bus. How the hell can your own husband leave you and go to his family’s home and not bring you with him after you were evicted because his non-working mofo a** didn’t have a job? He made that –ish up! And, despite the family not liking you, or whatever feelings they have about you, but for your husband to leave a pregnant wife and move in with his family and leave you to your own devices is a trifling no nuts having son-of-a-bish! Hell, I don’t blame you for not sleeping with him. You should have Al Greened his a** and poured some hot grits on him while he was sleeping on the couch! Then, after you pull yourself together, get back on your feet, and you get a new place he wants to bring his no-having-unskilled-unqualified-bum-a** back home and move in? And, he still doesn’t have a job, and wants you to do your wifely duty?!?! Girl, you are better than me! But, hold on, when a family death occurs in his family he tells you not to attend the funeral. Huh?!? That’s when you should have said, “When you leave. Stay! Don’t come back! Keep your a** right there, and don’t even think about coming back to MY house!” Yeah, it appears that his family truly has a big hold on him, and dictates to him what he should and should not do, especially in his relationship with you. Therefore, I say stick to your guns, get the divorce, tell him not to come home, and get you a lawyer. There are some lawyers who will take on your case as part of their pro bono case. Pro bono means they will represent you for free and you don’t have to pay them as it is part of their offices community service programs. You just have to call around to find a lawyer who will do so, or seek out a women’s group/organization that can help be of assistance to you. I also strongly suggest you that you prance right on over to the courthouse and file for child custody, and child support immediately. He has a job now, so he needs to be contributing financially to his children’s welfare and well-being. Put him on child support IMMEDIATELY! Don’t wait. Don’t hesitate. Don’t procrastinate. Do it today. And, if he wants to allow his family to dictate and run his life, then you stay two steps ahead of them and do all that you can to protect yourself and your child. And, I seriously doubt that he can file and get custody of your child when he was the one who left you. He is the one who had no job, allowed you to get evicted, moved in with his family, and left you alone. So, you have more of a leg to stand on in court than he does. But, you need to document and get all this in writing with the timeline of events. Then, go to Goodwill and have them give you some documentation showing that you worked in their store while pregnant, earning store credit, and a record of your employment record. Document and keep copies of all this and take it to court with you. Ma’am, stick to your guns, don’t let him back into your home, and remain on track with your plan. Don’t deter, veer off, or get sidetracked. Keep your sanity. You’re going to need to be wise and smart. Listen to your lawyer, and keep doing everything according to plan. You do deserve better. You deserve a man who is not going to walk out on you and leave you when times get hard. You need a man who is going to stand by your side, protecting you, building with you, and a support system you can depend on. And, right now, HE IS NOT THAT MAN! Shellie Zimmerman filed divorce papers Thursday to end her marriage to George Zimmerman, the infamous killer of Trayvon Martin who was acquitted in July. George Zimmerman’s Wife Files For Divorce “The documents have been received by the Seminole County clerks” in Florida, said her lawyer, Kelly Sims, in response to a Tweet by George’s brother. Robert Zimmerman wrote, “According to Shellie’s atty Kelly Sims – Shellie is preparing to file 4 divorce. Docs have not yet been filed in Seminole Cty. Pray 4 them.” Shellie Zimmerman , a 26-year-old nurse, pleaded guilty to perjury August 28 for lying about the family’s finances during one of George’s pre-trial hearings. She was sentenced to a year’s probation and 100 hours’ community service. In an interview with ABC News, she hinted that a divorce might be in the works. “It’s difficult to communicate with your spouse when you’re under so much scrutiny from both sides,” she lamented of her problems as well as George’s. “I think that we both have been fighting for our own individual struggles to be heard by each other, and it’s been difficult,” Zimmerman added. Saying the couple had been living “like gypsies” ever since her husband was arrested, she added: “It got very crazy. living with bodyguards.” “It kind of feels like you’re with a babysitter. You really can’t make any choices for yourself anymore. … We were in hiding. We were in the woods.” George Zimmerman has not publicly responded to the divorce filing or commented on anything since he was found not guilty of second-degree murder. He’s been seen twice, emerging from hiding to help a family out of an overturned SUV and was caught speeding in Texas and let off with a warning.
Reports that long-married, superstar couple Faith Hill and Tim McGraw are headed toward a $135 million divorce are false, according to their reps. Exhale, country music fans. Exhale. With both Faith Hill and Tim McGraw up in arms, the latter is “threatening to walk,” claims the tabloid’s source, but the rep tells a different story. While McGraw is close with Swift, rumors of chemistry between them are largely speculative, and he said recently that he is happily married, sharing the secret: “The easy answer is just to shut up and not say anything, that’s easy. But really it’s a lot of give and take and it’s a lot of no ultimatums,” he said. She says she’s “piecing and patching” her income together these days, but that won’t work forever. “To not have a reliable income is scary,” she says. Kate, who famously (and relentlessly) nagged Jon Gosselin on the show that bared their names, admits her attitude may have gotten in her way. “I made so many mistakes, of course,” she laments. All she can do is look forward at this point, however. “It feels like a whole other lifetime ago,” she says. “And sometimes I don’t even remember much of it. Both when the babies were first born and during the divorce, I was on survival mode. According to TMZ The path is clear for Simon Cowell, because TMZ has learned his baby mama, Lauren Silverman just settled her divorce with Andrew Silverman. Sources connected to the case tell TMZ … the settlement occurred a few hours ago. We’re told Lauren and Andrew have agreed to some form of joint custody over their 7-year-old son. As for money … we’re told Lauren got just north of $2 million. And we’re also told Lauren will definitely live in New York City so she can be close to her son. Sources say Lauren and Simon are still “very much together.” Andrew tells TMZ, “As I’ve said all along, my priority was resolving this quickly for the sake of our son. Lauren and I both love him very much and I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter in our lives.” At least she’s officially divorced and Simon doesn’t have to be dirty doggin’ in shame.
Mayim Bialik is not Kim Kardashian . So many were taken aback when The Big Bang Theory blogged all about her divorce earlier this summer, giving fans an unexpected glimpse into her personal life. But Bialik wasn’t aiming for attention or sympathy, she told Access Hollywood this week, explaining what prompted her to take to Kveller.com for such intimate postings. “I wanted to write about some of the more complicated aspects. And specifically, also, there’s certain things [related] to Jewish divorce that people don’t know about,” the actress said. Mayim went on to outline how she and Michael Stone had to get divorced through their faith on top of the typical legal proceedings for most couples. “There’s something called a ‘Get,'” Bialik said . “There’s a religious process. You sit in the same room and you watch your divorce deed be written. It’s actually a very interesting thousands-year old document that you watch written and you have to be in the same room as your ex.” Overall, it was a powerful experience. “To me, it was a very cathartic, very emotionally powerful sense of closure for us. It’s very intense. So I wrote for Kveller about some of those aspects in hopes to kind of maybe [be] helpful to other people or other women.”

Finding Dory Ending Changed So Dory and friends were originally going to end up in a marine park. Now they’ll be able to leave the marine park if they so desire. There were a few stories of kids flushing things down the toilet to send them to “the ocean” like in Finding Nemo so maybe workers in marine parks should be on red alert when Finding Dory comes out in 2015. I can just see the headlines now… “Child Attempts to Take Home Puffin From Marine Park”. It should be noted that Disney has made no official statement regarding the altered ending.
