Chris Webber And Jalen Rose Argue Via Talk Radio Can the Fab Five just get along? Jalen Rose and Chris Webber are stirring up the pot on their 4-year-old sports beef , trading subliminal shots in separate appearances on sports talk radio earlier today. Via NYPost : Chris Webber and Jalen Rose took their long-simmering feud to the next level Wednesday as they exchanged barbs through the media. The former Michigan stars have been at odds over Webber’s decision not to participate in the “30 for 30” documentary on their famous Wolverines team that aired in 2011. “A lot of people… after they retire or they’re looking for a job or they want to be relevant … they go back in time and kind of… make sure their importance is really known… when one guy has a million highlights of himself … as if he was the leading scorer and all the stories are embellished, it’s hard for me,” Webber said on the “Dan Patrick Show” on Wednesday, according to Awful Announcing. Webber’s words apparently infuriated Rose, who ripped the power forward in comments to Larry Brown Sports. “One dude traveled then called timeout,” Rose said of Webber’s famous foible that cost Michigan a chance against North Carolina in the ’93 title game. “One dude lied to grand jury and hasn’t apologized. One dude tried to circumvent the documentary to HBO. One dude ignored multiple requests from everyone involved after agreeing to participate. One dude played like (President) Obama and sat in a suite during Michigan’s recent title game. One dude slandered Ed Martin after all he did for him and his family. One dude is not in contact with the other four (which is all good). One dude has been doing a rebuttal doc for four years. One dude clearly is delusional and still in denial. It’s been almost four years since Amy Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning, and of all the stars who tragically joined the “27 club,” few make us wonder what might have been quite like Amy. The singer had become an international sensation with Back to Black just a few years prior to her death, and many expected her to mature into one of the great singer/songwriters of the 21st Century. Unfortunately, Amy’s struggles with drugs and drinking prevented her from ever recording a follow-up, and in July of 2011, she was found dead in her London home. Now, award-winnning director Asif Kapadia is paying tribute to the woman with the unforgettable beehive ‘do and one-of-a-kind voice with a documentary that chronicles Winehouse’s meteoric rise and devastating fall: Amy Documentary Teaser “I’m not a girl trying to be a star,” a young Amy tells an interviewer at one point. Asked how famous she thinks she’ll become, Winehouse shyly replies, “I don’t. I don’t think I’m going to be at all famous. I don’t think I could handle it. I think I would go mad.” It’s a side of the music legend that few fans ever saw, or even knew existed. With her myriad tattoos and rebellious image, it was hard – at the height of her fame – to imagine Amy as anything other than bold, brash and endlessly self-assured. As her struggles and tragic demise later reminded us, however, the spotlight never suited Winehouse, and her insecurities would eventually consume her. Toward the end of her life, Amy became better-known for her tabloid misadventures than for her remarkable talent. Hopefully, Kapadia’s film (due for release this summer) will remind the world of the genius that was so often overshadowed by her self-destructive tendencies.

This is scary! Healthcare Worker Who Cared For Dallas Ebola Patient Tests Positive A healthcare worker who cared for the late Dallas Ebola patient has tested positive for the virus. The New York Times reports: A health care worker here who helped treat the Liberian man who died last week of the Ebola virus has tested positive for the disease in a preliminary test, state health officials said Sunday. “We knew a second case could be a reality, and we’ve been preparing for this possibility,” said Dr. David Lakey, the Texas health commissioner. “We are broadening our team in Dallas and working with extreme diligence to prevent further spread.” The worker, who was not identified, was an employee of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where the first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States, Thomas E. Duncan, died last week. The health care worker reported a low grade fever Friday night and was isolated and referred for testing. Officials interviewed the worker and were identifying “any contacts or potential exposures,” the statement read. The preliminary test was done at the state public-health lab in Austin and the positive result was received late Saturday, officials said. Other tests will be done by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. Wow! Isht is getting real out here. What do YOU think about this latest Ebola news?
