Beth Chapman has, once again, been hospitalized for issues related to her cancer. And unfortunately, things aren’t looking so great at this exact moment. Beth, wife of Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman, was first diagnosed with throat cancer in September of 2017. Doctors classified the cancer as stage two, but just a couple of months after the initial diagnosis, the couple made the statement that the cancer had been completely removed. But, as we all know, cancer is the absolute worst, and last year, it came back. Things seemed to be more serious this time around — in November, she underwent emergency surgery to take care of a blockage in her throat that was obstructing her airway. Duane said at the time that she was “not doing good,” and that doctors feared the cancer had spread from her throat. They later confirmed that the fears were correct, and that the cancer had spread to her lungs. She pulled through that surgery, but she was hospitalized again in April after she experienced some difficulty breathing. Throughout everything, she’s been extremely active on social media , and she’s honestly been an inspiration. She’s been so strong, and she’s shown so much love to Duane, who she says has been there with her every step of the way And although her prognosis isn’t good, she’s chosen to spend whatever time she may have left with her family instead of in hospitals or in hospice. She’s even been working on Dog’s Most Wanted , a new show that touches a bit on Beth’s battle while still, of course, focusing on Dog’s work as a bounty hunter. Sadly though, her work came to a halt yesterday when she was admitted to the ICU at a hospital in Honolulu. At this point, we don’t know too many details about what exactly brought her to the hospital, but her family gave a brief statement to local news site Hawaii News Now. In the statement, they revealed that Beth had been placed in a medically-induced coma, and that they “humbly ask everyone to please pray for Beth.” Additionally, they offered their “sincere thanks to everyone for their prayers throughout Beth’s battle with cancer.” Last night, Duane shared a similar message on Twitter, writing to his followers “Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you.” View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Beat Cancer When People reached out to their rep for an additional statement, they were told simply that “It’s quite serious.” Here’s hoping that Beth manages to pull through this, and that Duane and the rest of their family are getting plenty of support during this difficult time.
Jenelle Evans is not very popular these days. Come to think of it, Jenelle has never been very popular, but she's been even more reviled than ever in recent weeks. As you've likely heard by now Evans got fired from Teen Mom 2 and lost custody of her children last month. Basically, Jenelle's life unraveled with astonishing speed, and it all started when her husband, David Eason, shot and killed the family dog . Yes, the man really executed an 11-pound French bulldog named Nugget during one of his infamous fits of rage. He and Jenelle have already paid a hefty price for that appalling act, but as they're about to learn, there are lots of animal lovers and David haters on the internet — and the #JusticeForNugget campaign for has only just begun. Take a look: 1. A New Low Jenelle was never the most responsible pet owner, but even longtime TM2 viewers — most of whom are painfully familiar with her selfishness and irresponsibility — may have found themselves in shock when she decided to stay with David after he executed Nugget while her children were at home. 2. The Absolute Worst At first, the details seemed too shocking to believe — David dragged the small dog outside and killed him with a shotgun while his horrified children cowered in terror. 3. Lifelong Trauma Jenelle later revealed that 11-year-old Maryssa hid in her room and didn’t emerge until the next day. 4. No Lessons Learned Apparently unaware that animal abuse is not great for one’s public image, Jenelle has taken to posting “homesteading” videos that show David — you guessed it! — manhandling and mistreating all sorts of frightened animals. 5. As you’ve likely heard by now, Jenelle Evans has lost custody of all of her children . It was a long overdue development that happened both gradually and abruptly. It was abrupt in the sense that CPS swooped in and removed the kids from Jenelle and David Eason’s home shortly after Eason shot and killed the family dog , thus prompting an investigation that revealed unsuitable living conditions. But the newly desolate conditions on The Land were also a long time in the making, as Jenelle had long ago lost custody of her eldest son, Jace, and David has a son hasn’t been permitted to see in years. Jace has been living with Barbara Evans since he was a baby, so even though Babs raised Jenelle, we can safely assume that she is capable of properly raising a child. These days, Jenelle’s 2-year-old daughter Ensley is also under Babs’ care. And for reasons that aren’t entirely clear, many believe the child is miserable at her grandmother’s home. Take, for example, the comments on a recent photo of Babs’ adoptive kids. “Myrtle Beach and I was not at the Winery,” Barbara captioned the pic. “Cardboard cutouts all over Broadway at the beach,” she added. Sounds innocent enough, right? Just a wholesome day of family fun (the guy in the pic is Jenelle’s brother Colin). Well, not in the eyes of some fans, who zeroed in on Ensley’s expression and took it as a sign that the toddler is being mistreated. “Poor Ensley looks so sad!!” wrote one follower. “Ensley looks like she’s worried about the potential crisis in the Middle East,” another person commented. “Poor little thing. It’s great how I can read minds on IG though, right?” another fan sarcastically quipped. Another Instagram user took the situation very seriously, writing: “I can’t help it … Ensley looks so unhappy. Something is not right!” And this, folks, is a prime example of the internet at its very worst. We’re sure some of these people think they’re helping, but really, they’re just drawing wild conclusions based on very little evidence. We’re sure the past few weeks have been very stressful for Ensley. But that doesn’t mean Babs is neglecting her or Jenelle was secretly some kind of super mom. Being placed in a new home would be stressful for any kid, but the authorities wouldn’t have done it if they didn’t consider it absolutely necessary. Fortunately, the majority of fans saw the situation for what it was and realized that 2-year-olds just get cranky sometimes: “She was probably just tired and [needs] a nap!!” one person commented. “Those kids are so lucky to have you in their lives!” someone else wrote before asking the valid question” “Where should they be if you weren’t there? “Hey no judgment!! Jenelle Evans has been in a great big mess for over a month now. Probably the biggest mess of her life, which is saying a lot. Her husband killed her dog, she lost her Teen Mom 2 gig, and CPS removed all of her children from her home. It's been rough. But throughout the whole thing, Jenelle has been uncharacteristically quiet. She's given statements and interviews here and there, but not much, and she hasn't addressed the situation much on social media at all. Until now! 1. This Girl … Jenelle … well, she doesn’t always make the best choices. 2. The Truth Actually, she pretty exclusively makes terrible ones. 3. Surprise! Her worst choice? It’s tough to say, but it’s really looking like it’s going to be getting with David Eason. 4. This Guy David is just the worst, but nobody has time to list every single bit of proof of that. For now, let’s just stick with the fact that he murdered Nugget, the family dog, and after police began investigating him, they believed he was so dangerous that they advised CPS to remove all the children from his care. 5. Wow It’s apparently a big deal, and a very difficult thing to do, this emergency removal, but David warranted it. 6. Chicago Police have released an audio recording of the 911 call made on behalf of Jussie Smollett back in late January. The call was placed by Smollett’s manager, Frank Gatson … who reported that the Empire star had been the victim of a racist, homophobic assault after leaving a Subway restaurant in the Windy City. This, of course, is what Smollett has alleged the very beginning of this crazy saga. “I just need the police to come by. I work for an artist. I don’t really want to say his name,” Gatson tells a 911 dispatcher at 2:22 a.m., adding: “He states he went to Subway … and two guys – somebody jumped him or something like that. I just want to report it and make sure he’s alright.” A little odd, right? Gatson doesn’t sound especially panicked in the call, but he does sound as if he’s relaying the story that Smollett has spelled out for him. Gatson goes on to claim Smollett “was cool” and “didn’t want me to call you guys,” only for the operator to say that Smollett had to report the alleged crime himself, not Gatson. “He’s definitely gonna make the report. I’m gonna make him make the report,” Gatson says. He proceeds to talk about the “attackers” and how “they put a noose around his neck” and says the entire situation is “really f-cked up.” Police had said the 911 call was made 40 minutes after Smollett got back to his Chicago apartment. “I just think he’s startled. I’m scared and I don’t know what it is,” Gatson adds in the video below. “They put a noose around his neck. They didn’t do anything with it, but put it around his neck. That’s pretty f-cked up to me. Sorry for saying it like that.” Jussie Smollett 911 Call: Released! Again: HUH?!? This is a major reason why Smollett’s description of what transpired on the street that night many months ago has never really added up. He has alleged that he was beaten up by two white men who screamed about “MAGA Country” and who trashed him for being black and gay — and yet he had no wounds from the incident? A noose was simply placed gently around his neck? He didn’t need to be rushed to the hospital? Smollett was arrested several weeks after the supposed assault went down because police were convinced he falsified his official report. He was then cleared of all charges in late March and, to the total shock of many observers, set free. Many members of the Chicago police force, along with the city’a mayor, railed against this decision, however. “This is a whitewash of justice,” a visibly angry Rahm Emanuel told reporters after Smollett was released and cleared. He then laid hard into Smollett for allegedly lying about being the victim of a hate crime: “You have a person using hate crime laws that are on the books to protect people who are minorities from violence to then turn around and use those laws to advance your career and your financial reward. “Is there no decency in this man?” Smollett stands by his original story. He maintains that he was attacked for his race and his sexuality and has thanked the supporters who have stood by him this whole time, which includes a handful of Empire cast members. Does this mean Jussie may someday return to the Fox drama? No, never, we can now confirm .
Fans are still recovering from the polarizing revelation that Lisa Vanderpump is not returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . But even before she shared that news, Lisa was so over the show. On this week’s aftershow, Lisa had so much more to say … including an invitation for her erstwhile castmates to go eff themselves. On Tuesday night’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Aftershow, Lisa Vanderpump was not mincing words. “Did I tell them all to go f–k themselves yet, or not?” she asked a producer. “Or did we leave that bit out?” “Uh,” the producer responded delicately. “Did you tell them all to go f–k themselves?” That’s an important point to clarify. “Okay, I’m joking,” Lisa said. “But carry on.” Lisa explained that she felt like public enemy number one on the show. “To have five against one is just not a good place to be,” she expressed. “I just think it’s something I would never encourage or ever condone.” Lisa opined. She added: “I don’t like to see it in my businesses when it’s all against one.” “I certainly have never ever supported my children if they were ever guilty of that choice,” Lisa noted. “So for me, I just would never be part of that.” There’s more to it than Lisa not enjoying being ganged up upon. She says that she also doesn’t like being reduced to a single role in the eyes of so many. “I’ve always said I’m not just a Housewife,” Lisa recalled. “I didn’t make a career out of being a Housewife,” she clarified. “‘Housewives’ has documented my life.” “I don’t have time for bulls–t negative minutiae,” Lisa expressed. “I don’t.” “I will continue to run my businesses: five restaurants, the dog center, dog center in China,” Lisa Vanderpump vowed. She promised to also continue “my political activity fighting for many things.” Those causes include “LGBTQ, humane treatment for dogs, working with Trevor Project, the suicide prevention, Vegas.” “There’s only one of me,” she expressed. Lisa predicts: “My Housewives will probably say, ‘Thank God.'” Kyle Richards begs to differ. While she admits that if Lisa were to suddenly show up again at social gatherings, they’d be surprised, Kyle predicts that her friendship would be welcome. “Everybody wants to move forward so much,” Kyle said. “That we’ll work through this!” “I think it’d be actually better if [she] were here and joined us and worked through it together,” she opined. Kylie suggested that it was a preferable alternative “instead of via Twitter and stories and this sort of backdoor situation happening.” It was a delight to see Brandi Glanville on camera, discussing her unlikely friendship with Denise Richards. She also threw shade on Lisa Vanderpump (but these days, who isn’t?). Lisa may have a point about feeling ganged up upon and not needing her Housewife status to be happy. This prompted MTV to finally fire Evans from the Teen Mon franchise. 2. That Sucked for Her But it sucked even more when Child Protective Services (CPS) conducted a welfare check shortly afterward and determined that Eason and Evans were not maintaining a safe home for their kids. 3. As a Result? Authorities removed two-year old Ensley and four-year old Kaiser from the home, both of whom are Jenelle’s biological kids. They also removed Eason’s 11-year old daughter from a previous relationship, Maryssa. 4. When Will Jenelle Get Them Back? We can’t say for certain. But multiple hearings in court has simply resulted in a judge confirming that the home is not safe and ordering the children away for the foreseeable future. 5. Jenelle is PISSED At the legal system? Probably. But she’s mostly mad right this very moment at her mother, who has been caring for Ensley and who has been caring for Evans’ oldest son, Jace, for many years. 6. Why? What Happened? Some Background Info To understand all that happened yesterday, you need to know a couple of things, and one of them is that Jenelle has a very, VERY troubled history with her mother, Barbara. 2. The History Jenelle and Barbara’s problems go all the way back to when she was a child — she’s said that she never felt like her mother offered her the love and care she needed, and their relationship only got worse after Jenelle signed over custody of her youngest son, Jace, when he was an infant. 3. So Many Troubles Barbara has taken good care of Jace, and she does have full, permanent custody of him now, but there were several years there where we saw Jenelle scream and cry and pretty much despise her mom for not just handing the kid back over, even though she was seriously troubled for a long time — she was getting arrested all the time, in and out of abusive relationships, and dealing with drug problems. 4. Ouch Since there was so much animosity over Barbara having custody of Jace, it must really be difficult for Jenelle to see her get custody of Ensley, too. 5. Of Course That’s the other thing you need to know — that Barbara currently has custody of Ensley after CPS removed all the kids from Jenelle’s home following David’s brutal killing of the family’s French bulldog, Nugget. 6. Let’s Go So that’s where we are now: Jenelle and David don’t have custody of any of their kids, they’ve been having to go to court weekly to keep up with everything and have their supervised visits, and their golden child, Ensley, is with one of their worst enemies at the moment, Barbara. Earlier this week, the world learned that Mackenzie McKee will be joining the cast of Teen Mom OG . The news didn’t come as a tremendous shock, as producers had reportedly been looking for a fifth cast member ever since Bristol Palin quit the show after her first and only season. For years, Teen Mom 3 alum Mackenzie has been in the running for a full-time spot on the show, so it stands to reason that she was selected to serve as Palin’s replacement. But none of that serves to lessen the shock and outrage of the veteran cast members who are apparently beyond pissed off that Mackenzie has been added to the cast. In a recent group interview , the ladies all sounded off on the possibility of welcoming a new cast member. This was before the Mackenzie news was announced, and it was clear that all of the Moms were opposed to the idea of a newcomer. “No, we’re good,” Amber Portwood told Us Weekly when asked about the idea of a replacement for Bristol. “No new friends,” echoed Maci Bookout. “No, I’m good with just four,” Catelynn Lowell added. Like we said, the ladies are clearly looking to hang on to the amount of screen time/clout they already enjoy. In the days since McKee’s casting was confirmed, most of the ladies have remained suspiciously silent. But not Catelynn Lowell. No, she promptly took to Twitter to passive-aggressively share her thoughts on the development. “If it’s not broke don’t fix it!” Lowell tweeted. Now, Cate’s not exactly a fan favorite these days, so it’s no surprise that her comment wasn’t terribly well-received. “Wow I thought better of you Cate. I didn’t realize you’re such a mean girl. Yikes,” replied one fan. Many users echoed that sentiment … including Mackenzie, who commented simply, “Same.” With that, Cate went into damage control mode, claiming that her beef is not with Mackenzie, but with her evil corporate overlords: “It has NOTHING to do with Mackenzie at all! It’s with the ppl that don’t explain what’s happening,” Lowell tweeted. “I welcome anyone just think MTV would tell us not find out online.” There’s a lot to unpack here, so we’ll start with Cate’s “if it’s not broke” comments. The problem with that is — the show is broken. Teen Mom OG ratings have been in decline for years, The producers aren’t continuously tinkering with the cast composition because they’re bored. They’re doing it because they don’t want the increasingly-expensive series to get canceled. As for Lowell’s notion that her bosses owe her an explanation — fans were quick to put that to rest. “You’re an EMPLOYEE not involved in that type of decision. What would they tell you???” tweeted one viewer. “My jobs have told me if we were getting a new hire but they did it as a courtesy,” another remarked. “They did not HAVE to tell me let alone ask if I wanted someone! That’s entitlement to expect it! Messy situation — but we thank Cate for the reminder that most of the Teen Moms have never held a real job.
