Big jowled LaVar Ball has been making the media circuit talking up his three basketball prodigy boys…Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo. All three of the boys are going somewhere, but LaVar is their manager-promoter-father and is making news with some of wild allegations and claims. LaVar didn’t like Charles Barkley talking reckless and said Charles needs to worry more about his own family instead of talking about his 2-dogs on TNT. Also, the father said his boy, Lonzo, is better than Steph Curry already. LaVar didn’t stop there…and even said he would’ve ate up Michael Jordan in his hay-day. Nick Cannon And Mariah Carey Bicker Back-And-Forth At Kids’ Choice Awards The other day we reported on the “family fun day” that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon had with “dem babies” and the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Welp, according to OKMagazine , looks can be very deceiving… Despite the smiles and laughs that the co-parents flashed on the red carpet, there was an ugly dispute taking place underneath. But, a source told OK! exclusively that Mariah and Nick, who put on a united front around the cameras, were not as happy once inside. The two “apparently had an argument of some sort while they were sitting in their seats.” And while it’s unclear what they disagreed on, it didn’t seem to blow over, as “she got up and left and Nick went over to her manager and grabbed his kids,” continued the insider. And Mariah didn’t return to her seat! What the hell could Nick and Mariah POSSIBLY be beefing about, in front of their children, at the Kids’ Choice Awards??? The obvious answer might seem to be the fugly orange outfits that Nick had Morrocan were rockin’, but chances are it was something much deeper. Brazilian Team Signs Murderer People are outraged over a Brazilian soccer club that just signed a goalie with a murderous past. Bruno Fernandes de Souza signed with the Boa Esporte Soccer Club on Monday, prompting WTF’s all over the world. Bruno Fernandes Des Souza was convicted in 2010 of hiring a friend to murder his girlfriend and then feeding her body to live dogs. According to AP , is sentence was supposed to be for 22 years, but he was released on the grounds his appeal in a higher court was languishing. Souza responded to critics and those who are fearful of him in an ESPN Brazil press conference “People run from me because of what happened in the past.” He added, “Boa is opening the doors (for me). Did Lisa Rinna get her revenge on Eden Sassoon? That was addressed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 12 when she realized that Eden had been talking smack about her. When the episode got underway, Kim and Kyle Richards were out shopping for gifts for Kim’s daughter, who was due to give birth to her first child. While the ladies were continuing to bicker, Erika escaped to have a lunch date with her husband. They got talking about her latest music video. Erika revealed that some don’t understand her marriage, but it worked for them, and that was all that mattered. They never really get to see each other. While all of this was going down, Kyle was on the set of her scripted drama about her childhood. She dropped the bomb that Kim and Kathy were not impressed with the project. However, she was concerned at just how much work a producer had to put into a series, and it made her question whether she was cut out for it. Finally, Lisa Rinna got a humanitarian award for her work with Project Angelfood. The ladies were in disbelief at the validity of the award, but it did not stop them preparing a meal. To say that Angelina Jolie has had a rough few months would be a major understatement. She filed for divorce from her longtime love, Brad Pitt, after a suspicious incident, and since then, she’s been widely perceived to be the bad guy in the split. Brad has stated in court documents that he believes she’s exploiting their children to get ahead in the custody battle, and reports claim that she’s had multiple meltdowns recently. But this weekend, Angelina sat down for an interview with BBC World News. And for the first time, she’s opening up about the divorce. And she sounds pretty reasonable and level-headed to us. About the divorce itself , she said “i don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and … and we are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it. “Many, many people find themselves in this situation,” she went on. “My whole, my family … we’ve all been through a difficult time.” “My focus is my children, our children … and my focus is finding this way through. We are and forever will be a family. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer.” She said that “It’s been a difficult few months,” but “Right now, I’m going through a moment when just everybody’s in my room. Two dogs, two hamsters and two children at the moment. It’s wonderful.” “But, usually, I just wake up trying to figure out who’s going to get the dog out, who’s doing to start the pancakes and did anybody brush their teeth.” Then Angelina was asked about where she saw herself in five years, and she joked “At this stage, I hope I’m just standing.” In five years, her six children will range in age from 20 years old to 13, so yeah, we imagine “just standing” is a pretty reasonable goal. She continued “In five years’ time I would like to be traveling around the world visiting my children, hoping that they’re just happy and doing really interesting things, and I imagine in many different parts of the world, and I’ll be supporting them.” “Everything I do I hope is that I represent something, and I represent the right things to my children, and give them the right sense of what they’re capable of, and the world as it should be seen.” “Not through the prism of Hollywood,” she said, “or through a certain kind of life, but really take them into the world, where they have a really good sense and become rounded people.” So Angelina sounds pretty good, right? This NOT Just In: Alec Baldwin is not a big fan of Donald Trump. The actor and the President-Elect have often clashed as a result of Baldwin's Saturday Night Live impression, which Trump believes to be terrible and awful and biased and insulting. Baldwin once offered to stop doing this impersonation, as long as Trump released his tax returns , but no deal was ever reached between the stars. On Thursday night, meanwhile, Baldwin addressed thousands of anti-Trump protestors who gathered in New York City outside Trump Hotel. He was one of several celebrities (along with Robert De Niro and Cher, just to name a couple) who attended the event and who addressed those in the crowd. “I just wanna say I've been standing out here in the freezing cold for a long time,” Baldwin told the protestors, channeling Trump once again and added: “I have to go to the bathroom, I have to pee. But I'm holding it in, I'm holding it in, I'm not gonna pee. I'm going to a function at the Russian consulate tonight, I'm going to hold onto it until I get there.” But Baldwin was on hand to offer a few important messages, not just to mock the soon-to-be President of the United States. The aftermath of an alleged animal cruelty scandal continues to affect A Dog’s Purpose. The movie, which launches nationwide on January 27, is under major fire across the country and across the Internet as a result of footage that surfaced online this week. The footage in question depicts a German Shepherd named Hercules, clearly agitated and frightened about a stunt that involves throwing him into gushing water. But a camera on set caught the dog’s handler tossing the poor animal into the water anyway. TMZ shared the video (below) on Wednesday and the fallout has been swift. Josh Gad, who voices the dog in the movie, and director Lasse Halstrom, have both spoken out against the treatment of Hercules, while PETA has pushed for a boycott of A Dog’s Purpose. The film centers around a canine who gets reincarnated several times while trying to figure out the meaning of life. Now, in the middle of this controversy, we can confirm that the red carpet premiere of the movie has been canceled. So has the press junket in which stars such as Gad and Dennis Quaid would have talked to reporters about the movie. A Dog’s Purpose Footage: Animal Cruelty at Play? Production company Amblin Entertainment has said it is reviewing the above video and added via statement on Thursday: “Since the emergence of the footage, Amblin has engaged with many associated with the production of the film, including safety personnel, trainers and stunt coordinators as part of their in-depth review. “While we are all disheartened by the appearance of an animal in distress, everyone has assured us that Hercules the German Shepherd was not harmed throughout the filmmaking.” That’s good to know. But the argument can be made that the intention to harm, or the disinterest in whether or not the dog was harmed, is the real issue here. Actor KJ Apa, who also appears in the film, shared his take on this scandal yesterday via Twitter. “First things first, I LOVE ALL ANIMALS and would never EVER condone inhumane treatment or abuse of an animal at any time,” he wrote in a lengthy message. “I was saddened to see the footage from the set of A Dog’s Purpose—a film I was honored to act in, in 2015. “The video was hard to watch, and I understand why many of you have had the reactions that you did because I had the same ones. “The footage is still being investigated, from my own experience, I only encountered cast and crewmembers who had unconditional love and respect for every single dog on set, and went to great lengths to assure their safety and wellbeing.” Concluded Apa: “I want you guys to know that I would NEVER attach myself to a project that didn’t treat animals with the utmost care, and honestly, the possibility that an animal could’ve been hurt is troubling to me. “I have been assured that Hercules is happy and healthy.” The questionable scene was shot in Winnipeg, Canada, in November 2015. It’s unclear why the footage was only released now. Once it was was made public, however, PETA asked animal lovers to boycott the film “to send the message that dogs and other animals should be treated humanely, not as movie props.” After taking a look at the footage, Lisa Lange, PETA’s senior vice president, added: “This movie is directed towards those who love dogs and, clearly, this is not a dog’s purpose.” The flick is based on W. Bruce Cameron’s bestselling novel of the same. The irony here, of course, is that it’s intended to honor dogs and the impact they have on their human owners. Here is what Gad has said about the unfortunate situation: A few months ago, I was approached to lend my voice to the film A Dog’s Purpose. As I sat in a dark screening room, I was beyond touched and moved by what I saw…a movie that captures the beauty and pain of loving a pet. I signed on for a film that truly stands out as one of the most beautiful love letters to animals I have ever seen. Today, however, I saw a disturbing video that appears to show a scared German Shepherd being forced to perform a stunt on the set of this film. While I do not know all the details and cannot speak to the level of care and caution that went into this moment (as I was never on set for the making of this film), I am shaken and sad to see any animal put in a situation against its will. As a proud dog owner and a fervent supporter of organizations like PETA. I have reached out to the production team and studio to ask for an explanation.
