Owner Creates Bucket List for Cancer-Stricken Dog: See the Cute Pics!

Prepare to smile and to cry, dog lovers. Earlier this year, Riina Cooke received the news that her nine-year old Boxer, Romeo, had been diagnosed with inoperable bone cancer. Owner Creates Dog Bucket List for Dying Pet In response, she took an unusual step that has caused the sad story to go viral: Cooke comprised a bucket list for Romeo, treating him to such doggy delights as a pedicure… a cheeseburger… a ride in a police car and many other treats. Romeo passed away on March 16, but Cooke told CBC News that she’s trying to focus on the positives of their concluding weeks together. “I’m hoping our situation will bring some light to other people who are going through the same thing,” she said, adding on Facebook soon after Romeo’s passing, Don’t cry because it’s over. Wen Zhang: Chinese Star Breaks Social Media Records With Affair Apology

Wen Zhang is like the Chinese Robert Pattinson – as adored in his homeland for his talent and looks as for his down-to-earth charm. So when he admitted to cheating on his wife of six years in a recent web post, Chinese social media users went crazy…like really crazy! Weibo – the Chinese equivalent of Twitter – reported that Zhang’s apology received over 2.5 million comments and 1 million re-tweets in just 10 hours yesterday, making it the most popular post in the site’s history. “I have brought this upon myself,” Zhang Tweeted. “A mistake is a mistake. This has nothing to do with anyone else.” Fan responses ranged from sympathy to the kind of seething rage we’ve all grown to expect from Internet users. Zhang’s wife replied simply, “Being in love is easy, being married is not.” The couple is expected to stay together. While Zhang may now hold the title of China’s most popular tweeter, he still falls short of the worldwide crown. That belongs to Ellen DeGeneres, whose now-famous Oscar selfie was re-tweeted nearly 2 million times in its first hour alone and crashed Twitter on the night of the awards show. You’re gonna have to do a lot of cheating to beat that, Zhang.

So sad. Boy Mauled To Death By Pit Bulls Why do people allow a child to be around vicious pit bulls? According to Mississippi News Now: A three-year-old Holmes County child is dead, after a pit bull attack. It happened in the community of Thornton which is south of Tchula. The boy has been identified as Christopher Malone. Our news crew was the first to arrive on the scene when this happened just after 4:00p.m. Monday. Family members say the dogs were secured in a dog pen behind the home but some how broke out and attacked Malone. “The dog just jumped him and took him down and drugged him in the back and killed him, ate him up,” said Lucy Mayze, an aunt of the victim. Sheriff deputies say Malone’s mother tried to save him, “The children were outside playing and she missed her child and when she went around to look for him that’s when she saw the dogs on him and she went up there to try to get the dogs off her child and she ended up getting bit too,” said Captain Sam Chambers with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Department. Malone’s mother was treated at Lexington hospital. The death is still under investigation. If the pit bulls were better contained, this tragedy could have been prevented. Daylight Saving Time 2014 Guide: All You Need to Know!

It’s about time, people. Literally and figuratively. See what we did there?! Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend, and not a moment too soon for Americans beaten down by the polar vortex and desperate for this long, dark winter to end. Daylight Saving Time is harbinger of spring and a cause for celebration. It’s also inherently confounding for millions of Americans. Every year. Fortunately, THG is here to break it all down and help you through this. Here’s all that you need to know about Daylight Savings Time 2014: It begins officially tomorrow: Sunday, March 9 at 2 a.m. Time “springs” forward one hour (see infographic). Set your clocks ahead before you go to bed tonight. Done. Or stay up until 2 a.m., put ’em at 3, then hit the sack. BAM. Your iPhone should do this automatically. Your microwave? No. Yes, this means losing an hour of sleep in the morning. Boo. Especially if you have kids still on a nap schedule. Weak. But you get an extra hour of sun in the evening now. NICE. The concept of DST dates all the way back to 1895. It was recently extended in the U.S. to save energy use. Daylight Saving Time 2014 ends on Sunday, November 2. If you can’t figure out how to change the clock in your car, there is hope: Just make a mental (or Post-It) note that it’s an hour slow until 11/2. The concept was the brainchild of Ben Franklin. Shayne Lamas in Coma; Suffers Miscarriage Due to Pregnancy Complication

Shayne Lamas, the daughter of Lorenzo Lamas and one-time winner of The Bachelor, has lost her second pregnancy and is currently in a coma. The reality star and her husband Nik Richie (founder of celebrity gossip site The Dirty) were expecting their second child. Shayne was 16 weeks along. Last night, however, law enforcement sources say paramedics were called and rushed to Nik and Shayne’s Orange County home after she collapsed. Shayne Lamas was hospitalized and determined to be bleeding internally. Medical personel couldn’t figure out why and the situation quickly turned dire. She lost the unborn child during the urgent, frantic surgery to save her life. Shayne is currently in a coma and not breathing on her own , although according to TMZ sources, doctors remain optimistic about her making a recovery. Nik and Shayne’s actor dad Lorenzo are by her side, and our thoughts are with both of them as well as Shayne herself during this traumatic time. Story developing …
