Maybe it’s because, for some fans, deep down in our hearts we’re mourning the death of the Kanye we knew, and we’re searching for some glimmer of hope. Whatever the reason may be, many people tuned in to Kanye’s visit with Donald Trump on Thursday. And if you weren’t watching on T.V. or online, a lot of folks tuned into Twitter for the outrageous moments. Ye certainly didn’t disappoint with the inflammatory statements and bizarre behavior. But before he was elected, and before Baldwin took on the character in 2016, the show’s creator, Lorne Michaels, reportedly insisted on only throwing soft jabs at the candidate–this is all according to an interview with former SNL cast member Taran Killam . In an interview with Matt Gourley on his podcast I Was There Too , the former Trump impressionist opened up about his decision to leave Saturday Night Live in 2016, along with the controversial hosting of Donald Trump in 2015. As Vulture pointed out, the Night School actor says Michaels pressured the cast and writers to go easy on Donald Trump in all of their skits, later surprising them with the candidate’s invitation to host. “Lorne was being so specific about what we could and couldn’t say about him, and he was dictating a lot of the settings,” Killam said during the podcast. “At that point—the first CNN interview [Trump] was doing—and that was sort of looking like what we thought we were going to do, and Lorne’s like, ‘It’ll be too old news by then, and you know, you don’t want to vilify him. You know, he’s like any New York taxi driver. I know him, I’ve seen him around at parties for years and years, and he just says whatever it is he’s thinking, and that’s his thing. But you know, you have to find a way in that makes him likable.’” Aside from just some questionable political choices, Killam also says SNL went downhill after Seth Meyers’ departure in 2014. “When Seth Meyers left the show, the dynamic changed quite a bit,” he continued, saying that an increase in pre-taped sketches and Seth’s absence made the show feel like “less of a happy place to be.” Check out Taran Killam’s entire here . The Real Housewives of New Jersey fans received grim news about the Giudice family this week. Joe Giudice will be deported after he leaves prison. Though he has a chance to appeal, many are already fearing for how this will impact his family — especially his children. A number of Housewives are weighing in on this looming reality. E! spoke to multiple Housewives to get their take on Joe’s imminent ejection from America. Caroline Manzo starred on The Real Housewives of New Jersey from Season 1 through Season 5. “Wow, this makes me sad,” Manzo reflects. She openly acknowledges: “Joe has made mistakes.” But Manzo also notes that he has, importantly, “taken responsibility for his actions and has served his time.” Like everyone, her biggest concern is the four Giudice daughters. “He has four beautiful girls that need their father in their lives,” Manzo says. “And my heart hurts for them.” Manzo points out that letting him remain with his family would be harmless, because: “He’s not a violent person, or a threat to society.” “He has a good heart,” she notes, and has “lived his entire life in this country.” Joe came to the United States when he was one year old. He is Italian by birth and ancestry, but he is absolutely an American. “I’m not quite sure how his mistakes warrant such harsh punishment,” Manzo concludes. Amber Marchese was only on The Real Housewives of New Jersey for a short time, but she definitely knows enough to weigh in. “I think everyone feels for the kids,” Marchese says. She’s right. No matter what you think of Joe, Teresa, or their alleged fraud, their children are innocents and do not deserve to have their worlds rocked like this. As Marchese says, “they are far too young to live such instability.” “And most importantly,” Marchese says, they are far too young to live “without a father.” The youngest of the Giudice girls is only 9. Marchese does then pivot to look on the bright side — as she hopes that the Giudice family will be able to do. “Listen, it might not be ideal,” Marchese says, noting that it will be “totally life altering, and it will definitely be a major adjustment.” “But,” she notes. “In the whole grande scheme of ‘sucky news’ that someone can receive, this is not all that bad!” That can be difficult to hear, but sometimes people benefit from a little perspective. “He isn’t banished to the pits of hell,” Marchese points out. “This is beautiful Italy we are talking about here.” Marchese then attempts to diffuse the situation with humor. “The question is, is Italy ready to take on one of our own crazy ‘Jersey house husbands’ full time?” she jokes. She then returns to giving the subject of deporting a man from the only country he’s ever known the gravity it deserves. “In all seriousness,” Marchese acknowledges. “They have been through hard times.” “I know they will turn this around,” she expresses. “And make these sour grapes into amazing Italian wine.” Siggy Flicker, who starred in Season 7 and Season 8 of RHONJ , told Us Weekly that she did not see this deportation coming. “I never thought in a million years that this was going to happen,” Flicker admits. She then shares that she is grief-stricken. “I am so soggy right now,” Flicker adds. “Crying for those precious girls and that entire family.” “It’s just not right to take a father away from his family,” Flicker laments. A prison sentence is one thing. Banishing a man from where his children live over fraud seems like a big much. (Though we all know that countless innocents have been deported for less, leaving behind children in far worse circumstances) “I wish we could have done more than what we have done so far,” Flicker shares. She concludes: “which was let the judge know how important it was that Joe Guidice stay here with his entire family.” We somehow doubt that the judge who ordered his deportation would have been swayed. At one point, Kanye confirmed that he wants to abolish the 13th amendment . At another point, he bragged about how much money he'smade with his shoe deal. It such a rant from West that Trump was actually left speechless. He had no idea what to say when it was all over. And we can't really blame him. How does anyone respond to the following Kanye West quotes? 1. On Wearing His MAGA Hat “They tried to scare me into not wearing this hat. But this hat gives me power.” 2. More About His MAGA Hat: “You made a Superman cape for me.” 3. On the Inspiration That Is Donald Trump: “You gave me the heart to go to Adidas.” (He then talked for awhile about how popular his shoes are and how he’s a billionaire.) 4. The Most Important Thing a President Can Do: “It’s more important than any specific thing that we bring jobs into America. 5. Alec Baldwin is taking some heat for saying something kind of dumb to The Hollywood Reporter. Okay, actually: Alec Baldwin is taking A LOT of heat for saying something VERY dumb to The Hollywood Reporter. The actor is featured on the latest cover of this publication, touching on nearly every topic of his personal and professional life in the feature story. But it’s one story he tells in particular, along with his reaction to that story, that has nearly all of Twitter rolling its collective eyes. At one point while speaking to Baldwin, writer Lacey Rose says that an African-American man named Tyrone approaches Baldwin and compliments him for his role of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live. Writes Rose of the encounter: “Though he’s waving and pointing and causing something of a scene, the often-irritable Baldwin doesn’t mind a bit. “In fact, he calls Tyrone over and the two begin cracking each other up. It’s hard to tell who’s enjoying the other more.” Baldwin says this sort of interaction happens “incessantly” these days, elaborating in annoying detail: I don’t know how to say this and I don’t want to get it wrong either, because everything is a minefield of bombs going off, but ever since I played Trump, black people love me. They love me. Everywhere I go, black people go crazy. I think it’s because they’re most afraid of Trump. I’m not going to paint every African-American person with the same brush, but a significant number of them are sitting there going, ‘This is going to be bad for black folks.'” Almost as soon after the article was published online Wednesday, Baldwin was met with major backlash on Twitter. He may not have wanted to paint every African-American with the same brush — but then maybe he should have tried not doing exactly that. Earlier this week, Jenelle Evans was rushed to a North Carolina hospital to undergo emergency surgery. Evans is typically quite vocal about every aspect of her personal life, but aside from one brief mention in a now-deleted Instagram story, Jenelle has kept mum about this frightening incident. Obviously, Evans has made quite a few enemies on social media over the years, but even her harshest critics are eager for reassurance that the crisis has been averted, and she's recovering according to schedule. At the moment, rumors abound as to why Jenelle has been so uncharacteristically quiet about her latest health crisis. Here's what we know about this scary — and very mysterious — situation thus far: 1. A Difficult Week The surgery marks Jenelle’s second trip to the hospital in less than a week. Just days ago, she took son Kaiser in to have his adenoids removed. 2. Ups and Downs The good news is, Kaiser has made a full recovery. The bad news is, it wasn’t long before Jenelle was forced to undergo treatment of her own. 3. Recovery According to Radar Online, Jenelle was unexpectedly hospitalized and forced to undergo an “invasive” sinus surgery on Monday. 4. Worse Than Expected? “She was supposed to have her sinuses drained, and now they’re doing a more invasive procedure,” an insider tells the outlet. 5. An Unusual Condition Sinus conditions that necessitate emergency surgeries are rather rare in young women. That fact, combined with Jenelle’s silence on the subject, has led to widespread speculation on Twitter. 6. The Ugly Truth? Back in April, Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal broke right before Khloe Kardashian went into labor with his child. Now, almost exactly six months later, Khloe is still reportedly struggling to trust him again. A report says that the two are not in the best place right now — and that it’s making Khloe reconsider everything about her life with Tristan. A report by E! reveals that Khloe is struggling to trust Tristan , even (almost) half a year after his cheating scandal broke. “Khloe had everything planned to leave for Cleveland early last week,” the insider shares. But she got cold feet “and decided not to go.” “She doesn’t feel comfortable to leave her home and family in L.A. and head back to her life in Cleveland right now,” the source explains. (Though, to be fair, a lot of people would not feel comfortable moving to Cleveland) “She isn’t ready to go,” the insider adds. “Khloe has had many ups and downs lately with Tristan,” the source explains. So, the insider continues, despite their recent face-licking PDA , “[she] and Tristan are not in the best place currently.” Public displays of joy can sometimes mask real turmoil. But Khloe is hoping that she can change this. “Khloe wants to work things out for the sake of True,” the source says. “But,” the insider notes. “It has been very difficult recently.” “She has huge trust issues that she has not overcome,” the source reveals. Tristan Thompson is 6-foot-9. That’s about as huge as a trust issue can get. “And,” the insider continues. “It’s definitely caused a rift.” “Khloe thought things would blow over,” the source adds. The insider explains that Khloe had wanted to move on from her emotional wounds “but she still has insecurities deep down.” A second source confirms that Khloe is “struggling with trusting him (Tristan) to be on his own around other women when she isn’t there.” Recent reports that Tristan may be cheating again cannot be helping with that. “In addition to her own insecurities about Tristan’s infidelity,” the insider says. “Khloe is continuing to struggle with her family’s thoughts of Tristan.” This is a big deal, the source explains, “as most of them haven’t forgiven him for cheating.” (Who has?) This is a sticking point for her family, “even though they are trying to support Khloe’s decision to be with him.” It sounds like Khloe’s loved ones have their priorities in order. “Everyone in the family ultimately wants what’s best for True,” the insider reports. The source says that they could live with him being with Khloe forever, “but they’re wary that Tristan will cheat again.” A guy who cheats with a whole bunch of women while his girlfriend is pregnant, one thinks, could cheat at any time. “And,” the insider says. “They hate seeing how this is effecting Khloe.” Interestingly, a source says that “(Kourtney) has been the most open-minded about Khloe and Tristan reconciling.” We should note that E! News ‘ post has since vanished. Sometimes posts get taken down briefly to be reworked, but it is possible that they learned that these sources were inaccurate. In case you somehow weren’t aware, Kanye West is a card-carrying, red hat wearing, verbal vomit-spewing member of MAGA Nation. Outside of a Russian billionaire whose investment portfolio is made up entirely of coal mines, McDonald’s franchises, and XXS glove manufacturers, it’s impossible to imagine anyone who might love Donald Trump more than Kanye does. Yeezy’s outpourings of affection for the Donald have been relentless as of late, and not surprisingly, it seems members of his inner circle are growing bored of the routine. West’s wife, Kim Kardashian, has shown herself to have the patience of a freakin’ saint in dealing with her husband’s erratic behavior, but even she draws the line at dude saying slavery was “a choice.” But Kim has clearly made the decision to ride this one out and hope the old Kanye emerges from the Sunken Place sooner rather than later. The same can’t be said for Ye’s most high-profile friends. Yes, the friendship between Kanye, Jay Z and Beyonce has always been fraught with tension, and it seems that these days the Carters have decided that West simply isn’t worth it. “They are outraged over Kanye’s recent political rants,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. The insider went on to confirm that Bey and Jay feel the same about this situation as the rest of us: “They think Kanye is a disgrace and is only doing this for attention,” the source says. “Beyonce and Jay Z know that Kanye is seeing a future in politics, but they feel that they cannot associate themselves with them from this point forward. And apparently, Kim has been lumped in with Kanye in the Carters’ eyes: “They want nothing to do with either one of them,” says the insider. According to a source briefed on the appointment, Kanye is meeting with Kushner, who has been attempting to overhaul the criminal justice system, to discuss job opportunities for former convicts.
