Bobby Brown Leaves Whitney Houston’s Funeral After Security Keeps Him From Bobbi Kristina [Photos]

After all the back and forth over whether or not Bobby Brown was invited to attend Whitney Houston’s funeral it appears he wasn’t able be in attendance for the full event. The singer was spotted leaving the church in funeral attire consoling his other children. Bobby Brown has released a statement regarding what happened this afternoon: My children and I were invited to the funeral of my ex-wife Whitney Houston. We were seated by security and then subsequently asked to move on three separate occasions. I fail to understand why security treated my family this way and continue to ask us and no one else to move. Security then prevented me from attempting to see m daughter Bobbi Kristina. In light of the events, I gave a kiss to the casket of my ex-wife and departed as I refused to create a scene. My children are completely distraught over the events. This was a day to honor Whitney. I doubt Whitney would have wanted this to occur. I will continue to pay my respects to my ex-wife the best way I know how. SMH… Seems wrong to treat him that way doesn’t it? As more details come out on what actually happened at the Beverly Hilton this weekend, Whitney was not the first to be rescued this weekend. According to TMZ the day before Whitney was submerged in her Beverly Hilton bathtub, 18 year old Bobbi Kristina was rescued by friends after falling asleep in her bathtub Friday night.  After knocking on the door of Bobbi Kristina’s 4th floor hotel room down the hall from her mother quite some time, friends called security to open the door to check on her well being.  What is a scary similarity to her mother’s death, Bobbi had fallen asleep in the bath tub and was pulled out by friends and security.   A frightening similiarity to the cause of her own mother’s death to come.  Family and friends are concerned for Bobbi’s mental state at this time after being hospitilized twice over the weekend due to anxiety and stress.  Please keep the family in your prayers in this difficult time.  #RIP Whitney

This story is truly, truly sad: Just minutes before she, her roommate and a 6-month-baby were savagely killed, did Octavia Barnett name their killer in a Facebook message? The Broward Sheriff’s Office thinks so, and now Lineten Belizaire, 20, the father of Barnett’s baby boy, is sitting in jail facing three counts of first-degree murder. “It actually pointed to the suspect,” Sheriff Al Lamberti said of the Facebook post. “It was the best lead.” On Jan. 15, Barnett, 21, Natasha Plummer, 25, and Plummer’s 6-month-old son Carlton Stringer Jr. were found with gunshot wounds. Carlton Stringer Sr. had gone to check on the women in the Lauderdale Lakes apartment, and found their bodies. But left unharmed was Barnett’s 11-month-old son, Ladainian Belizaire. Lineten Belizaire had spared his own child, police say. The crime scene, Lamberti said, was so gruesome “even the most veteran detective would have a tough time dealing.’’ A neighbor who lived below the women at the Somerset Condominiums, 2750 Somerset Dr. in Lauderdale Lakes, said she heard gunshots early that Sunday morning and later discovered blood dripping through the ceiling. But it was the Facebook post that lead detectives to Belizaire. “He was at the door at that time,” said Sgt. Dave Ellwood. At 1:31 a.m. Jan. 15, Barnett wrote about “opening the door’’ and then “your daddy came back from out of town from 4monthes [sic] ago better late then [sic] never,’’ according to The Sun-Sentinel. Barnett’s Facebook friends told homicide detectives about the clue. Wow. No words. Why would this man do this to the mother of his child, her roommate and her roommate’s baby??? Too sickening. The commercial for NBC’s new music-themed prime-time drama, “Smash,” seemed to play almost as much as the show itself, which featured funny barbs from host Ricky Gervais , an equally funny response from Golden Globe-winner Madonna and a big win for “The Descendants,” which took home Best Motion Picture – Drama . Before the Golden Globes kicked off, MTV News caught up with “Smash” leading lady and former American Idol Katharine McPhee on the red carpet. She happily explained how there’s really no competition between her forthcoming show and that other singing show on Fox, “Glee.” “You know, we’re so secluded from L.A., where they’re shooting ‘Glee,’ and we haven’t had any interaction. No one’s had any sort of conversations. We’re just actually really grateful that ‘Glee’ has opened the door,” she said. “And has made music work on television.” In teases for the show, McPhee is seen covering Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful,” and when we caught up with her, she told us that later on in the season there will be a Rihanna cover. McPhee even went on to share what famed actors and singers will also appear on the highly anticipated show. “Well, we have Uma Thurman, who’s not a pop star but a movie star. She’s actually shooting with us already,” she said. “[One Republic frontman] Ryan Tedder is a guest star. So he’s a pop star and an amazing writer. Oh god, and Nick Jonas . We’re doing pretty good for the first season.” “Smash,” also starring Debra Messing and Anjelica Huston and produced by Steven Spielberg, premieres February 6. Jenelle Evans: Arrested For Harassment!

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans was arrested in North Carolina for making “harassing phone calls” and “communicating threats” to former roommate Hannah Inman. The 20-year-old was booked into the Brunswick County Jail and later released after posting $1,000 bond. She later tweeted, “I’m free as a biiirrrrddddd :D.” Yay. The arrest could mean serious trouble for Jenelle Evans , who’s still on probation for pounding the crap out of Britany Truett in a fight last summer. Her attorney, Dustin Sullivan, said “Jenelle was charged with those charges today after she had taken charges out on James Duffy several days ago.” “I feel these charges against Jenelle are absurd and retaliatory in nature.” Good to know. Just don’t compare her to another Teen Mom train wreck. A “fan” tweeted, “Jenelle makes Amber Portwood look like mother of the year.” To which Jenelle intelligently responded back, “what?!!! LMFAO Amber Portwood is in jail for FELONY charges dumbass, oh I guess she’s better…s–t.” She’s not wrong. And speaking of social media, the reality star was kind enough to give her side of the story , via Facebook, after the got out. Here goes: “Yes I was arrested again. It’s okay, Hannah’s just calling her own bluffs. How can I harass u with phone calls when u clearly don’t own a cell phone?” “I’ve dropped this argument weeks ago. Haven’t been paying attention to u but u have the balls to tell yr little “fans”.. ‘imma f—king kill that bitch’ ?!” “How’s threatening who here ?! Lmao she’s mad cuz I took out charges first on Duffy for cyber stalking. She claims that she move out becuz I said I would eventually kill her.” “Clearly her old phone has texts that states ‘look I’m moving out to yr house Duffy so we can move to new jersey so I can get famous for my singing’.” “Yes u set me up and yes u will go down. CAN’T WAIT FOR COURT!” “Not to mention I REALLY dot give a f—k about Hannah or Duffy when I’ve been in and out of the hospital for 3 weeks now with mono/strep and have to get my tonsils out.” “Yeah as I’m about to walk out the door to go to the hospital the cop is at my door and I got down on my knees and poured out tears. Alec Baldwin Apologizes For Airline Meltdown

Occasionally volatile actor Alec Baldwin has issued an apology for the crazy incident that saw him get kicked off an American Airlines flight on Tuesday. Baldwin became irate after his game of Words With Friends was interrupted with the flight from JFK to LAX still at the gate, but the cabin doors closed. When he was asked to turn off his phone, Baldwin retreated to the bathroom and allegedly slammed the door, leading the pilot to call for his removal. Today, he’s feeling bad about all this. He writes: “First off, I would like to apologize to the other passengers onboard the American Airlines flight that I was thrown off of yesterday. It was never my intention to inconvenience anyone with my ‘issue’ with a certain flight attendant.” “I suppose a part of my frustration lay with the fact that I had flown American for over 20 years and was brand loyal, in the extreme.” “The ticket agents and Admiral’s Club staff have always been nothing but abundantly helpful, as I have flown hundreds of thousands of miles with the one carrier.” “My confusion began when the flight, already a half hour behind schedule, boarded, the door closed, and we proceeded to sit at the gate for another 15 minutes.” “I then did what I have nearly always done and that was to pull out my phone to complete any other messaging I had to do before take off.” “In nearly all other instances, the flight attendants seemed to be unbothered by and said nothing about such activity, by me or anyone else, until we actually were pulling away from the gate.” “In this case, while other people were still manipulating their own phones, this one employee singled me out to put my phone away. Afterward, we still sat at the gate. I pulled out my phone again, while others did the same.” “Again, I was singled out by this woman in the most unpleasant of tones.
