Drake surprised a fan by singing karaoke with her during a recent night out in Los Angeles. The two were both enjoying an evening at Saddle Ranch when international student Dee hopped on stage to perform “What’s My Name” and was suddenly joined by the rapper. She told E! Online : “I was up there with the mike and the first beats of ‘Only Girl in the World’ started playing and I said, ‘Stop the song! Does anyone here know how to do the Drake part of ‘What’s My Name’?’ So I was like, anyone? Anyone? Hello? And decided to just sing it by myself and then boom! “Drake jumps up with his bodyguard behind him and was like ‘Wait, I thought I was going to do the song with you.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god, Drake! I just got lost in the moment and thought, ‘Whatever happens I don’t care.’ It was a total Hollywood moment.” Aw, so sweet. Oh Drake, always such a gentleman! Fat Joe F/ Chris Brown, “Another Round” [VIDEO PREMIERE]

Fat Joe feat. Chris Brown “Another Round” from Riveting Entertainment on Vimeo . After taking a trip the “dark side” Fat Joe is showing his kinder, gentler (and slimmer) side in this new video featuring C-Breezy, “Another Round.” Kind of fitting that he gives an R.I.P. to Heavy D in the beginning, considering he made this whole “romantic big man” lane possible in hip-hop. Tattoo Artist Answers Back! “I’d Totally Fight Drake”

Continued here:

Just when you thought this story couldn’t get any more bizarre, it does. When tattoo artist Kevin Campbell was interviewed about a tattoo of “DRAKE” that he put on some woman’s forehead, he dismissed the October’s Very Own artist as a “goof nugget. ” Upon hearing of the diss Drake responded in an interview that the artist was an “a$$hole” and would “f*ck him up” if he ever saw him in person. In the next round of tough guy the tattoo artist says he’d welcome a one-on-one with Mr. Graham any time, any place. “Please say that Drake actually wants to f*ck me up,” he wrote on his Twitter page. “I will totally fight Drake. One on one. Tell him to name a time and place.” Is it just us, or does beefing with a tattoo artist kind of reinforce the stereotype that you’re really not that gangsta? Where is the challenge to fight Common , who has called you sweet on and off record? We’re not hoping for that, but we’re just making a point. Stop the madness. This really isn’t that serious. Maliah Michel Opens Up About Her Former Relationship With Drake

Here is the original post:

Drake introduced us to stripper Maliah Michel in the “Find Your Love” video and we haven’t forgotten her since! The buxom vixen and Drake dated but his and her relationship didn’t last very long. Drake also shouted Maliah out on his hit song “Miss Me:” “I’m in the city of the purple Sprite / Someone tell Maliah / I’m on fire / She should work tonight…” Now that Maliah and Jamaican singer Sean Kingston are an “item” she is speaking out about her failed stint with Drake. She spilled all, on a call with ‘The Autumn Joi Live Show.’ On what she did to Drake to make him say he doesn’t date dancers anymore I don’t know actually; Drake and I had a really great relationship sharing a really close bond. I don’t know if people really realized that. I’m really picky about the guys that I date because in the industry the guys are so cocky, whether it be a ball player or a rapper, they just don’t know how to respect you or come at you in a certain way. With Drake, he was always a gentleman, he was really sweet and he cared for me. He was great. On what happened between her and Drake Honestly, from what I heard it was ….it’s always this way with dancing and that’s why it’s so hard for dancers to take relationships seriously because everything is fine when it just fun but once the guy starts to really care about you, oh, it’s his friends. “You don’t understand her career” but it’s like ‘I don’t know, do you think you should be going this far?” People get in their ear; it never fails. It can be a regular Joe on the street or an entertainer. As dancers we always get slack once the guy starts to care about you and want to take things a step further. What’s going on with you and Sean Kingston? Sean is really a cool guy! Actually the first time we ever hung out was for the AMA’s. He called me and asked me to be his date and I was like, “Wow, okay, cool.” I was really shocked and ever since then we’ve just been cool. He’s great. It really bothers me that all the blogs are like “Is he hitting that?” and it’s like “Gosh, can we get to know each other?” Seriously, are people really just jumping up and screwing without nothing? I really feel like I need to know the person that I’m dealing with and that takes time. Music Exec John Atterberry Dies After Shooting

Atterberry worked with Brandy, the Spice Girls and Jessica Simpson. By Gil Kaufman John Atterberry Photo: Facebook Longtime music executive John Atterberry died on Monday, just days after being shot in the face and neck during a rampage on the streets of Hollywood by a crazed gunman. Manager and promoter Atterberry, who was a former vice president at Death Row Records and worked with the Spice Girls, Brandy and Jessica Simpson over the years, was sitting in his car on Friday at a major intersection in Los Angeles when a gunman shot him three times. According to The Hollywood Reporter , Atterberry was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead late Monday afternoon. The gunman, identified as 26-year-old Tyler Brehm, began randomly shooting his gun at the intersection on Friday morning, getting off between nine and 20 shots before police killed him. Atterberry was the only person who was seriously injured in the incident. Brehm was shot by police after witnesses alerted two police officers who were working on a nearby movie set. When they arrived, Brehm was walking down the street with his gun in the air, screaming that he wanted to die, before lowering his firearm when cars began to drive by and firing at them. Atterberry, 40, most recently worked at an event promotions company called Gridlock Group, after getting his start working in the promotions department at the fashion lines Cross Colours and Karl Kani and moving on to Death Row, former home to Snoop Dogg, Tupac and Dr. Dre. Afterwards, he started Mergela Records and Consulting, working with producer Rodney Jerkins and comedian Chris Tucker, as well as founding the music publishing company Infusion Music Group, where he worked with the Spice Girls and Simpson.

Drake Announces 2012 Club Paradise Tour Dates

Young Money MC will kick off 17-city North American tour on February 14 in Miami before heading off to Europe. By Jocelyn Vena Drake Photo: John Shearer/ Getty Images Drake is inviting you to Club Paradise. The Take Care rapper has announced dates for a 2012 headlining tour. Drake’s Club Paradise Tour will kick off on Valentine’s Day (the same day fellow Young Money family member Nicki Minaj drops her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded ) in Miami before circling around 17 cities in North America, with stops in party spots like New Orleans, Austin and San Diego. The tour name pays homage to a track Drizzy dropped back in September. The tour will visit colleges across the U.S. before wrapping up the North American leg on March 11 in San Diego. Drake will then head to Europe for a string of additional dates, according to Pressparty . And Drake isn’t going at it alone. As previously confirmed, he’ll be joined by Hottest Breakthrough MC contenders Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky. “I spent a lot of time out there [in Toronto]; that’s what this album is about,” Drake recently explained. “That’s what I’m gonna showcase. It’s the same thing with the tour: I wanna bring Kendrick, I wanna bring A$AP, those are guys that I love. It has nothing to do with people on my label,” he added. “Tyga’s out, Nicki’s working on an album and everybody else is doing their thing on the road with Wayne or with Wayne in the studio, so I just sort of showcased the music that I happen to love right now, and those are the two guys that I’m bringing out.” “I fought for this tour, I fought really hard for this tour because, of course, they want me to go get the big bucks, go into the stadiums and cash out,” Drake revealed to MTV News in October about the decision to play more intimate shows . “But I was just like, I really made this album for the same people that supported me since day one.” In addition to a tour, next year Drake and Rick Ross plan to drop the Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) mixtape. “It’s official, the music is most definitely official,” Ross said. “But, you know, me being a boss, I’m trying to find a way that we could put that on the shelves for the world, baby. But it’s most definitely official.” The release rides on the heels of Drake’s chart-topping Take Care , which dropped in November. Dates for Drake’s North American Club Paradise Tour are as follows:

While performing at a show in Hartford, Connecticut Drake aggressively addressed the rumors about him leaving Lil Wayne’s Young Money camp to join Jay-Z’s Roc Nation. He firmly denied the reports , and said the following onstage: “My brother Lil Wayne is all the way in Australia right now. Drake: “The First Time He [Wayne] Listened To My Album Was Last Night”

More here:

While myself and many others couldn’t sleep until we heard Drake’s sophomore album Take Care, Lil Wayne had the patience and faith to wait until the project hit the shelves. “The first time Wayne listened to my album was last night” says Drake in an interview with Google Music. The reception to Take Care has been both sided, “I’m not the guy that would ever be able to make surface music with no substance. I think all my projects, hopefully, I’m working through some form of emotion because I think that’s what music is about. It’s about connecting and people being able to relate. In five years, I like people to view “Take Care” at that point as another point of consistency. Another over delivery on something people thought I was going to drop the ball on. I think every time I say I’m about to do something people are waiting for me to fumble. That’s probably one of the biggest motivations behind a lot my raps is the amount of people that want me to fall or whatever. I think that should be the motivation for most rappers. The further you climb towards the top, the more hands you have on your pants leg dragging you to the bottom. I wear really strong pants.” Drake Breaks Silence On Ludacris Diss Record Ludacris On His Drake & Big Sean Diss Track: “I Don’t Start These Things, I Finish Them” [AUDIO] Drake Covers Jet Magazine & Sells Over 659,000 Copies Of “Take Care” Did Lil Wayne Get Married?
