Kenya Moore sure knows how to get some good camera time… Kenya Moore Breast Cancer Scare Via RadarOnline reports: The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore undergoes a biopsy for lumps in her breast on Sunday’s episode of the reality TV show and RadarOnline.com has a sneak peak at the drama. Moore opens up about the health scare which resulted in the medical procedure admitting with everything that has been going on in her life her “health has taken a back seat”. Dressed in a hospital gown and with a thermometer in her mouth Moore is seen listening intently as a doctor explains what they will do to her. With her supportive Aunt Lori by her side she then lies back as the nurse begins the procedure. “I had my annual mammogram done and I didn’t get the best news,” a worried Kenya says. “The doctor found not one but two lumps in my breast. Today I have to have a biopsy. I’m not really sure what to expect but finding out that I could possibly have cancer is definitely one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to face.” While the results have not been revealed Moore did respond to one Twitter fan who asked if she had cancer and said: “I encourage all women to watch next episode.” Do you think Kenya is really suffering or just playing up the drama for more camera time??

The Real Housewives of Atlanta decide there’s just “No Excuse for Excuses” and one housewife walks out the door. Who’s had enough and who will be headed to Anguilla? We recap it all in our THG +/- review. Kenya and Walter head out on a double date with Phaedra and Apollo and things look pretty cozy. Perhaps a little too cozy for Phaedra’s comfort as Kenya bats her eyes across the table at Apollo. Minus 10 . Was it all just about producing a workout video? Perhaps Kenya’s just the flirty type. Phaedra can’t stop admiring Kenya’s breasts. Minus 8 because it’s a little weird that she mentions them multiple times. Of course the former Miss USA certainly likes to keep them on display. Double dates seem to be going around as NeNe and Gregg head over to Cynthia and Peter’s. Peter shares his big secret with NeNe. He wants to renew his vows with Cynthia on the beach at Anguilla. Plus 20 . It really is a lovely thought considering all of the drama that took place at their first wedding. But with the crew they’ve got joining them on this trip, I’m not sure this wedding will be any less stressful. Cynthia’s still ticked off at Phaedra, until Ms. Parks shows up with a huge bouquet and a sincere apology. Cynthia says she’ll forgive but she won’t forget. Minus 12 . If they’re truly friends I think she needs to let that one go. We all got to take a trip to Porsha’s OB-GYN and what a relief we didn’t miss that. Oye. Minus 15 . Porsha and Kordell are given the green light to start trying to make a baby again next month but all Porsha wants to talk about is how to increase her chances to have twins. Minus 9. Thank goodness her doctor has the sense to remind her that after her miscarriage she should be concentrating on having one happy, healthy baby. Plus 12 . Of course it wouldn’t surprise me if Porsha goes home and stuffs herself full of yams anyway. And on a side note, what is up with those earrings. Small dogs could jump through those hoops! The annual girls trip has suddenly become a couples trip and everyone gathers for brunch to discuss the particulars. Here I was thinking that Kandi inviting Kenya along would fill this meal with drama. Who knew I could be so wrong? Now there’s two sides to this argument and I see both. In Kim’s defense, she is pregnant for the second time in a year and she looks like she’s about to give birth sometime in the near future. Minus 10 . Expecting her to hop on a plane to head to some island to party is just unrealistic. If these ladies were gracious they’d just let her out of it. Goodness knows I wouldn’t want to risk having a baby on some small island. On the other side of the aisle, Kim did give them dates and everyone else seemingly jumped through hoops to accommodate her. Plus 8. So I do understand why they’re ticked off. Still it doesn’t seem worth all of the drama. Kim’s life has definitely changed. She’s got two teenaged daughters, an infant, another on the way and a new husband not to mention she just had to move. That’s a lot for anyone. So when the ladies started to pile on, Kim had had enough. Kim walked out and I don’t believe it was just brunch she was ditching. This may be the last we see of Kim. Minus 25 because surprisingly, I think I’m going to miss her, blonde wigs and all. Episode total = -49! Season total = -133!

Calling Ben Affleck ‘s Argo a “terrific thriller,” one of the six Americans who managed to escape the U.S. embassy just as student radicals took over the compound by fleeing into Tehran’s streets has set a bit of the record straight. Mark Lijek, who’s portrayed by Christopher Denham in Affleck’s awards contender, spoke out after attending the film’s L.A. premiere, giving his detailed version of events. And while there are strong parallels with the film, which began its release last week and has garnered Oscar buzz, the timeline of real-life events had some significant departures from the film, which Affleck starred in and directed. Still, Lijek did learn one thing from the film, which surprised him all these years later. ( Caution, spoilers if you have not seen the movie ). The backbone of the story – namely, the idea of posing the six Americans as movie-makers in order to dupe Iranian officials and sneak them of the country – is in fact true. The movie version of events suggest the six “house guests,” who were holed up in hiding in the Canadian Ambassador’s residence, needed convincing to go the route of posing as Hollywood insiders. But the plan’s CIA mastermind, Tony Mendez (played by Affleck) had in fact presented three ideas, which the group accepted as the best option straight away. “We liked the idea enough, in fact, that we chose it over two other scenarios that Tony also brought to us,” said Lijek in a first-person account of their ordeal in Slate magazine. “In one of them, we would pose as businesspeople, in something petroleum-related, if I remember correctly. In the other, I think we were meant to be teachers looking for employment at an international school. But those two seemed like throwaways, and Tony did not try too hard to sell us on them.” After considering the three options, Lijek noted, the group accepted the plan whereas in Argo it seemed to split the group, with dissenters reluctantly agreeing to go along. “It was clear the organization and energy was focused on the Hollywood option. And they were right to be: While the movie presents myriad dramatic complications and last-minute twists and turns, the plan actually went off without a hitch. Lijek’s account focuses on the drama the group had going from place to place in the lead-up to Mendez’s arrival. The six managed to evade capture, going from one temporary safe space to the next before ending up in the safe hands of the Canadian compound and in the care of Canadian John Sheardown, who was critical in safeguarding them. “When Tony Mendez arrived on Jan. 26, 1980, we were ready to leave,” writes Lijek. “The hostage crisis was no closer to resolution. We had asked [Ambassador] Taylor in early January to tell Washington we wanted out. Each day we stayed in Iran added to the risk of capture.” Continuing, he gives credit to Sheardown, who didn’t make the script in the movie version of events. “It never came to that — and John Sheardown may well be the indispensable reason why. Without his enthusiastic welcome we might have tried to survive on our own a few more days. We would have failed. And so it was hard, sitting at the swanky Los Angeles premiere the other day, not to see John in the movie. I understand, though, why he couldn’t be there. Argo already had more characters than a typical thriller, and adding the Sheardowns would not have enhanced the drama.” But Lijek received a surprise at the film’s screening as the credits rolled when a voice came in talking about the crisis 32 years later. “The film’s biggest shock? The voiceover from Jimmy Carter at the end. In comments about the incident that I had never heard before, Carter says our chance of success was 50 percent. 50?! I thought it was much higher. Another gut check. Would we have gone with Tony at 50 percent? I’ll never know.” [Source: Slate ]
