We love Atlanta, but tha A sure ain’t what it used to be… Bravo Greenlights 3 New Atlanta Reality Shows Via AJC Atlanta is already home to several reality shows: “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” “Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta,” “Auction Kings,” “Big Rich Atlanta,” to name a few. Bravo, home to “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” is acting all BET on us by setting up three more reality shows here, all variations on the same theme of rich women generating drama and conflict. One we already know about: it’s the continuation of Kim Zolciak’s life, post “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” She had a successful spinoff earlier this year about her wedding. She’s currently taping her second spinoff. (Her final appearance on “Real Housewives” is set for this Sunday.) Here’s the press release description of what you can expect from her series (working title” Don’t Be Tardy,”) which certainly would not surprise anyone who has been following her travails with her family. (Her dad last week called her a “pathological liar” and her mom filed a claim to try to see her grandkids.) Season two follows Kim and Kroy Biermann in the next phase of their marriage, which involves the demands of their ever-growing family, purchasing their dream house, and a possible adoption. The pressure is on as Kim tries to resolve extended family issues and manage the renovation of their house all while juggling being a loving mother, a caring wife and staying in the limelight. The other 2 shows will focus on the more “professional” side of the ATL. “Married to Medicine” follows a group of successful and educated women, including doctors and wives of doctors, who are connected to the world of medicine in Atlanta. Whether delivering babies in Louboutins or rushing off to galas in Buckhead, these women do everything with style, drama, and of course, southern flair. “Taking Atlanta” tracks the city’s next-generation movers and shakers as they make their mark in the glamorous arenas of fashion, music, hospitality and real estate while enjoying the city’s sizzling social scene and balancing the demands of their tumultuous family situations. Now this is disappointing: here’s Kate Upton leaving the airport all wrapped up like a little old lady and not even giving us a peek at her massive talents. I guess it’s true what they say, nobody dresses up to get on a plane any more. It’s a shame. What happened to the good old days, when men wore suits, and women wore their finest lingerie? OK, maybe I’m remembering that wrong, but I still don’t think it’s too much to ask. Personally, I always make sure to wear my dress sweatpants whenever I fly. The one and only time I met Justin was last year but I never wrote a My Bieber Experience about it so I’m doing mine now. It was November 17th 2011 at the meet and greet for the Pencils of Promise Gala. I went with my friend Julia and we saw some people there that we knew. Most of the people there were over 20 so no one really loved Justin as much as I do. It was really awkward when I was the only one bawling my eyes out when he first came in. We weren’t allowed to scream for some reason and one of the heads of the gala came up to me and said, “You seem like a screamer so no screaming ok?” Obviously I had to say okay. While we waited in line to take our pictures with Justin, we made legit eye contact so I waved to him and he smiled back. It was beautiful. A few minutes later we made eye contact again so I waved again and this time he smiled the beautiful smile and waved back! I literally fell to the ground. When it was our turn, I made sure I was next to him in the picture which pissed some other people off. When I stood next to him, he put his arm around my waist and said “Hey” but I contained my emotions so I wouldn’t look horrible in my picture with my idol. Right before they took the picture, it hit me that I was standing next to JUSTIN BIEBER, THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. I turned my head and just stared at his angelic smiling face to soak it all in. After they took the picture I asked if I could hug him and he said “Of course!” and hugged me. Words cannot describe how amazing it felt to be wrapped in his arms. Later at the gala, I met Kenny who was adorable and really is like a teddy bear. I also met Adam Braun and Usher. It was hands down the best day of my life. By the way I still haven’t washed the dress and sweater I wore because HE TOUCHED THEM! It’s been almost a year now and I’m not planning on washing them anytime soon. A week later, Justin was having a concert at the Today Show . We stood in the freezing cold rain for about 6 hours. An extremely nice family pretended they knew us so we could stand inside with them as VIPs in the same room as Justin when he walked out. He looked amazing. We watched the concert, cried a lot, and talked to Scooter a little bit. I raised a lot of money for Pencils of Promise so when I told him my name and what I did, he knew who I was! After the concert, we waited to see if Justin would come out so we could meet him. He didn’t but we met Scrappy and Dan and they were so nice and funny. Usually we get spoiled by supermodels; we see them in lingerie or bikinis so often that it’s a letdown to see them out in the real world. But that’s definitely not the case with Miranda Kerr here. I should’ve known she’d look awesome just walking down the sidewalk. I can’t tell if she’s a little chilly or that’s just the dress, but I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out after a hour or two of careful inspection. Enjoy.
