Jim Jones must really think his Capo status is more than the name of his new album and his pretend Dipset responsibilities. Bossip has obtained exclusive details regarding the rapper’s arrest earlier today in New York City. According to the NYPD, Jones was arrested around 12pm in Downtown Manhattan after being pulled over for driving his 2007 Bentley in a bus-only lane on Broadway. During the course of the routine traffic stop, Jones was unable to provide the arresting officer with his driver’s license, which, as it turns out, is currently suspended. He was charged with driving with a suspended license, aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to obey a traffic device. Jones was issued a desk appearance, which means he will be released today. At press time, however, it is unclear whether Jones remains in custody. His court date was not immediately available. Jones’ fifth studio album, Capo is set to be released next Tuesday, April 5, via E1 Records.

As we previously reported, the Stephenson High sophomore was shot in the head last Saturday night in an apparent road rage incident on Old National Highway. None of the other passengers or the driver were injured. Jewell is the daughter of Kandi Burruss’ late fiance, A.J. Jewell, who died in 2009 after a fight outside the Body Tap strip club. “She is still technically listed as critical, but she does seem to recognize her mom’s voice, and she makes attempts to follow simple commands they give her, like to squeeze their hands,” her cousin, Ebony Phillips, told the AJC. “She can’t really do it physically but there’s a cognitive foundation they might be able to build on.” Friends and relatives will hold a candlelight vigil for Jewell on Saturday near the site of the shooting. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department confirmed that officers observed Aguilera’s 25-year-old boyfriend Matthew Rutler driving in a manner that made them believe he was under the influence at around 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday. Aguilera was a passenger in the vehicle, and sheriff’s department spokesperson Nicole Nishida said that the 30-year-old singer was “so intoxicated she couldn’t take care of herself” and was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of suspicion of public drunkenness. Aguilera was booked into the West Hollywood sheriff’s station and released on $250 bail. A spokesperson for the singer could not be reached for comment at press time. An arrest report stated that Rutler was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of suspicion of driving under the influence at the West Hollywood station just before 3 a.m., with bail set at $30,000. It was not known at press time if Rutler had been released on bail. An anonymous source told TMZ that if “the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble.” Another unnamed source allegedly close to the singer told the site that her confidants have been trying to get the performer into a rehab facility for several weeks. So reads the custody scoreboard between this former couple, after a judge ruled in the actress’ favor today and said she could take daughter Nahla to New York for a movie shoot. Sources confirm to TMZ that these two started to fight over their child when Aubry attempted to block Berry from taking the two-year with her across the country to film New Year’s Eve . With the Oscar winner in attendance, a Los Angeles judge gave her the green light bring Nahla along for the duration of her time on set. “We are pleased the judge took the time to deal with this very imminent and important issue,” Berry’s attorney, Neal Hersh, said. “The judge read a great deal of paperwork and gave us time to argue.” Man. All this over the sequel to Valentine’s Day ?!? Perhaps if Berry and Aubry watched that atrocious romantic comedy, the entire hullabaloo could have been avoided.
