Josh Duggar: Is He Making His Counting On Debut?!

Hold on tight, friends, because things are about to get real damn crazy with the Duggars. You know how Josh Duggar did many, many terrible things? As we learned in a whirlwind of nightmares and nausea last year, Josh molested five young girls when he was a teenager. Four of those girls were his little sisters, and while he was sent away for a while to do some construction work (you can’t make this stuff up), he was never truly punished for what he did. And then Ashley Madison, a website catering to adulterers looking for side pieces, was hacked, and it was revealed that Josh had an account , essentially meaning that he paid money to cheat on his wife. A couple of women came forward after that, and they claimed that Josh had paid them for sex , and that he was frighteningly rough with them. Josh went off to some kind of treatment center , and he did stay there for several months, but now he’s back. And this is where things start to get bad. Or worse, rather. Josh has pretty much kept to himself since returning home from the treatment center, and for good reason. It turns out that most people don’t take too kindly to child molesters who also cheat on their wives and disgrace their families. Who knew?! But while Josh has been staying out of the spotlight, and while TLC has said that they have no plans of bringing Josh back on television, it looks like things are about to change. According to a new report, TLC is planning on allowing Josh to appear on Counting On. Heaven help us all. The word is that Josh could appear in an episode in the coming weeks, and that they’ll slowly add him into the mix until he’s a full-fledged star of the show, on the same level as his other siblings. This is a terrible idea, to say the least. Advertisers are already weary of Counting On, and that’s just because Josh is related to the starts of the show. If Josh himself were to be on the show, you’d have to imagine that advertisers would continue to back out, so how could TLC justify making the show while losing money? And is employing a person like Josh really a great move for any company? In a word, no. In a couple of words, hell no. With all that Josh has done, he doesn’t need to be on television. He needs to be off somewhere, figuring out his life and where it all went so wrong. As it is now, Counting On is pretty cute, with lots of precious babies, some funny courting shenanigans, that kind of thing. Ben Seewald: Continuing to Support Black Lives Matter in Defiance of the Duggars

If you watched this week’s episode of Counting On , you bore witness to a rather awkward encounter between Jinger Duggar and her brothers-in-law, Ben Seewald and Derick Dillard. In the scene, Ben and Derick advised Jinger on proper courtship protocol. Because apparently in Duggar Land, there’s nothing weird about two dudes telling their wives’ adult sister how far she should go with her boyfriend: Jinger Duggar Gets Courtship Rules Refresher Anyway, the conversation served as a reminder of just how deeply the Duggar kids (and their spouses) subscribe to the belief system handed down to them by patriarch Jim Bob. Interestingly, however, in the weeks between the when that episode was filmed and when it aired, Ben Seewald hinted that he may not be buying everything that his father-in-law is selling. On his social media pages, Seewald expressed his support for Colin Kaepernick , the San Francisco 49ers QB who sparked a national dialogue about race and police violence when he chose to take a knee instead of standing during performances of the national anthem prior to his team’s games. Despite harsh criticism from commenters on his Instagram page, Ben has been unwavering in his support of Kaepernick and the Black Lives Matter movement. Following the police shooting of Terrence Crutcher last month, Seewald drew further flak for retweeting a minister who begged for unity and compassion for Crutcher’s family: But while he’s been more vocal than ever in recent weeks, Ben has been sensitive to the ongoing problem of police violence in America going at least as far back as the Ferguson protests of 2014. It was around that time that Seewald interviewed the socially conscious rapper Flame for a video on his YouTube channel: Ben Seewald on Racial Unrest For once, fans of Counting On and critics of the Duggars have something in common, as both have expressed their surprise (pleasant or otherwise) over the realization that Ben is so politically aware. Interviewing a rapper of any political stripe is a controversial move for a member of the extended Duggar clan, as the family famously rejects all forms of modern music, even rock with Christian-themed lyrics. Given the amount of power Jim Bob wields in his family many thought he would have a talk with Ben about expressing views that run counter to those of the Duggars and their fan base. But either that never happened, or Ben is more strong-willed than we thought, as earlier this week, the 21-year-old father of one posted a link to this article which every recent incident in which police killed a black man, and urges Christians to act. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar Attend Marriage Counseling Retreat

Throughout the many, many scandals that have plagued the Duggar family over the past 18 months, the marriage between Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar has remained intact. But even the strongest marriage would be put to the test by the series of public controversies that somehow haven’t kept the Duggars off TV. So it’s not all that surprising that Jim Bob and Michelle attended a marriage counseling retreat last week. What is surprising is that they were paid speakers instead of guests! Yes, the couple – whose best marriage advice seems to be something along the lines of, “No front-hugging without a ring on it!” – was invited to address a crowd about “the Godly principals for keeping a vibrant, Christ-like marriage.” No word on how much JB and Michelle got paid, but with a title like that, but attendees say they were charged an astonishing $275 per ticket. For that price, we assume Michelle strapped on a guitar while Jim Bob Jaggered his way around the stage belting out a flawless rendition of “Satisfaction.” Sadly, there’s no word on what JB and Michelle talked about, but we assume they repeatedly reminded their fans that Ashley Madison is owned by the devil . It’s interesting that they decided to accept the engagement, as their speech came just a few weeks after they posted a message on their website “Unfortunately, due to the number of invitations and our schedule we cannot entertain invitations to personal events such as birthday parties and weddings,” the Duggars wrote in late August. “We wish we could go to everything!”   “If you have expressed interest in our family speaking at a public event we will respond as soon as possible.”  Maybe this gig was booked in well in advance. Or maybe this is the Duggars’ way of coping with the fallout of reports that they’re trying to have Josh appear on Counting On . The mere mention of using their reality series to try and rebuild Josh’s reputation was enough to spur reports that TLC would be giving the Duggars the ax . Perhaps the timing is coincidental, but we wouldn’t be surprised if this were step one of a reputation-rebuilding campaign. Duggar Kids Respond to Rumors They’re Quitting Reality TV

Earlier this week, several media outlets reported that the Duggar kids are planning to quit reality TV . The family generally doesn’t respond to tabloid rumors, even (or perhaps especially) when they turn out to be true. But in a surprise move, the clan took to their blog yesterday to respond to rumors about their future with TLC. If you follow the family closely you may be aware that advertisers have been fleeing the Duggars in droves ever since news of the first Josh Duggar sex scandal went public. That trend recently led to talk that TLC planned to cut ties with the Duggars, but planned to give the family an opportunity to make a graceful public exit and pretend that the end of the business relationship was their idea. Now, the Duggars say there’s no truth to those rumors, and they don’t foresee any end to their careers as reality stars. Typically, Duggar blog entries are written in the singular first person, with the authors identifying themselves as members of the family, In this case, however, the post read more like a press release from the family’s PR team: “As we approach the eight episode of Counting On , season two, the tabloids are circulating a rumor that the Duggar siblings are quitting reality TV,” the blog reads. “Is it true? Not in the slightest. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s children have no plans to leave TLC.” The post went on to promote last night’s episode of Counting On , which featured the start of the trip on which Jeremy Vuolo popped the question to Jinger Duggar. In a sense it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that the Duggars remain committed to the medium that made them famous… But in a way, it was somewhat of a bold move for the Duggars to announce that they definitively have no plans to leave the network that made them famous. Now, if their show gets canceled, the family can’t pretend that it was their decision. Of course, even if TLC decides to cut ties, we’re sure the Counting On clan will bounce back. Counting On Season 3 Episode 2 Recap: Jinger Duggar is Courting!!!

On Jill & Jessa Counting On Season 3 Episode 2 , Jeremy Vuolo enjoyed his first meal with the Duggars and Jinger revealed her courtship rules. Or lack thereof, as it turned out. Watch Jill & Jessa Counting On Season 3 Episode 2 Online Jinger, quite clearly, is smitten. “Jeremy Vuolo is my best friend from Laredo, Texas, and he recently asked me if I would enter into an official courtship with him,” she said. Jeremy, clearly, is smitten too. “It’s a big next step, and it’s an exciting next step,” Jeremy added, as they went to Jessa and Ben Seewald’s house for ice cream and conversation. With Jessa’s father Jim Bob sort of awkwardly there too, Ben asked the new couple they had discussed any of their “courtship guidelines.” The response? “I have a desire to save the physical for marriage,” Jeremy said, noting that he “understood the temptations” in rushing into the sex. Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo Reveal Courtship Rules … or Lack Thereof Pastor Vuolo reiterated that the duo would “enjoy each other” in the physical way another “season,” but not right now. Because #courting. Joseph Duggar then broke down for viewers at home the list of Duggar courtship rules and other things banned by the famous family. As we all know if we watch Counting On online , side hugs are okay, but frontal hugs are not. You just don’t want to touch fronts. Yet. Counting On Season 3 Episode 2 was a refresher course in Duggar courting awkwardness, which also forbids holding hands or kissing. Is Jinger ready to rebel against this nonsense? Ben and Jessa offered to do just that, chaperoning Jinger and Jeremy, who later went to dinner at the Duggar compound and held his own. Jana Duggar, the eldest daughter of the family, could see them getting married, but her twin, John David, was still “checking him out.” Joseph reiterated that the brothers are “not going to just hand over” their sister to anybody, and would be watching Vuolo like a hawk. Yes, she made a pillowcase out of one of the former soccer pro’s old jerseys. Kinda tells you all you need to know right there, right? Naturally, love-struck Jinger spent most of the car ride to the survival camp on FaceTime with Jeremy and worrying about losing reception. Ah, love in the 21st Century. Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard on Missionary Life: So Much Rape, Kidnapping & Murder! In non-Jinger-related updates, Jessa, Ben and baby Spurgeon hit the gym, where Ben talked about one of the latest big ideas he has. With the aid of trainer Steve Conley, a family friend, he’s thinking of establishing a football camp to help at-risk youth. Would be cool. As for their workout, Seewald seemed to exert himself slightly more than Jessa or Spurgeon, but we’ll give the latter duo a pass on that. Meanwhile, Jill’s parents gave her air conditioning units so she and Derick could keep their windows and doors closed, which was huge. Not only for the obvious climate control and creature comforts involved, but because violent crime happens all the time in El Salvador. “You have to strike a balance,” Derick said of managing safety risks and isolating themselves from the people they were there to help. Derick said sexual assault is prevalent in Central America, along with kidnapping and murder, and that as Americans, they are targets. Yikes.

Meghan McCain: I Cried When Donald Trump Got Nominated!

Meghan McCain rose to national prominence back in 2008 when her father, longtime Arizona senator John McCain, faced off with Barack Obama as the GOP’s presidential nominee. Obviously, Senator McCain lost the election, but his daughter has held her place in the national spotlight as an analyst for Fox News. And unlike some scions of well-known political figures (We’re looking at you, Bristol Palin!) Meghan has earned the respect of those in her party with her impassioned, articulate defenses of old school fiscal conservatism, as well as her more moderate stances on social issues. So obviously, given her alignment, Meghan is no fan of the GOP’s current nominee, Donald Trump, who has next to nothing in common with traditional conservatives or moderates of any stripe. In fact, just hours before Trump took the stage at the RNC to accept his party’s nomination last night, McCain blasted the candidate in a candid interview with People magazine. “It’s really hard,” said the 31-year-old when asked about Trump’s stunning ascendance.  “I understand the voters have spoken. I understand that he’s had more votes than any other candidate – but this is an incredibly polarizing election. 60 percent of Republicans want another candidate. This is not the vision for America I have.”  She added that she openly wept when the real estate mogul clinched the nomination. Of course, her feelings may have something to do with the fact that Trump blasted her father early in his campaign, claiming that the former POW was “not a war hero” because he was captured. So will Meghan’s distaste for Trump lead her to pull the lever for Hillary Clinton in November? Don’t count on it: “This is a garbage election with two garbage candidates and America deserves a lot better than this,” McCain told People . But Meghan won’t be joining Ted Cruz and many other GOP faithful who will exercise their right to simply stay home this Election Day.  “I’m writing in a candidate,” she said. Dallas Man Falls Off Waterslide, Lives To Post About It

It's all fun and games until someone goes off the rails.  Literally. David Salmon was having a grand old time at a private home outside of Austin, Texas, which boasts a nifty water slide. Unfortunately, when Salmon took part in one of America's favorite past times (right up there with homemade fireworks and beers on a boat), he got more than he bargained for. In the video below, Salmon is seen trying to steer himself down the waterslide with his hand.   While rounding a corner, Salmon flew right up over the side and landed ten feet down on a rocky hillside. Salmon was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for a broken arm and broken ribs, along with some serious bruises and scratches. “I'd gone down a few times [before] and it was fast.  But this time, I just couldn't slow down ,” Salmon told Fox 4 Dallas. “I threw my arm out and went right over the edge,” he recalled. “For a split second I was like, 'oh no,' and then it was a hard crash.  The rest was all blurry,” the 32-year-old said from his bed, eager to stress that while he's OK, he's in a lot pain from what he calls a “freak accident.” Salmon, who told the news station that he doesn't want to be known as “Water Slide Guy,” posted the video and a message on Facebook. “Too dang old to be going down water slides,” he wrote. “Fell off this one that is over a rocky cliff. First time in an ambulance. I'm currently in the hospital in Round Rock. Broke my arm (humerus) and fractured ribs. Multiple lacerations on my back, arms and side. “Just found out I don't need surgery so that's good news! Derick Dillard: SLAMMED For Controversial Photo of Baby Israel!

These days, it seems hardly a week goes by without the Duggar family being embroiled in some sort of controversy. Often, the complaints from fans and detractors are legitimate (We won’t even bother to rehash the many ugly chapters of the Josh Duggar sex scandals .), but sometimes they’re classic cases of manufactured Internet outrage. The latest kerfuffle – having to do with the above photo of baby Israel that was posted by Derick Dillard last night – seems to be somewhere in between, but leans closer to the latter category. In anticipation of the Oklahoma State University football season (It’s still July, Der! Chill!) Dillard posted the above photo with a caption reading: “Pistols firing! Only 45 days til some OSU cowboy football starts! Go Pokes!” Fans saw two causes for complaint, both of which smacked of serious nit-picking. View Slideshow: Jill Duggar Baby Photos For one, there was baby Izzy’s hand gesture and Derick’s caption, which some believed to be insensitive in the wake of recent gun violence. Far be it for us to defend anyone in the Duggar clan (even if they happen to be a Dillard), but Pistol Pete has been the OSU mascot for decades, and it’s not like Derick put an actual gun in the kid’s hand. The other complaint is almost as baffling, as several fans took issue with the placement of the straps on Israel’s car seat: “Good god someone please adjust that child’s chest clip. That’s horrific,” wrote one follower, instigating a tense debate about the importance of car seat safety. The whole thing was reminiscent of the time Jinger Duggar was criticized for failing to properly secure Josh and Anna’s 4-year-old son. Josh Duggar: Returning For "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" Season 2?

Family pariah Josh Duggar has been spotted a few times lately as the Arkansas clan slowly orchestrates his reintroduction to public life. With the Duggars floating this trial balloon regarding the adulterer, child molester and porn addict, many fans wonder what the endgame is. Specifically, is the plan to bring him back for the next season of filming on the resurgent Duggar reality hit, Jill & Jessa: Counting On? Considering that around 1.9 viewers watch Jill & Jessa: Counting On online or on TV, the series is very likely to return to TLC soon. Of course, Josh’s myriad sexual scandals of 2015 were what sabotaged the previous iteration of Duggar TV fame, 19 Kids & Counting . Despite shutting down 19 Kids, and dealing with some controversy and angry sponsors with Counting On , TLC salvaged this key brand. Which brings us back to the infamous Joshua: As part of its public relations strategy, TLC assured viewers and potential advertisers that the eldest Duggar sibling would not appear. Indeed, he’s been persona non grata thus far. Whether he’s been “enjoying” a Mother’s Day lunch , going to a friend’s graduation, or hitting up sporting events, it feels like a soft launch. If it was meant to gauge interest or tolerance for Josh existing, it worked: Josh critics and fans alike are vocal in their opinions of him. While many find the father of four appalling for many obvious reasons, some fans of the Duggars see a story of redemption in the making. Either way, it seems clear that reintroducing Josh to the general public is, if nothing else, a test run for the Duggars regarding his future. After all, on Jill & Jessa: Counting On, Anna Duggar and her marriage were main storylines, even if her cheating spouse did not appear. Imagine if ol’ Josh were prominently featured trying to beg, pray, and work around the clock to make things right with her in Season 2. Can you say major ratings draw? Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna "Have No Chemistry," Claims Source

This is like something out of a dime store novel. Then again, this is a Kardashian we’re talking about. In case you were on a remote island (in which case, good for you), then you’re likely aware that Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are expecting their first child together. Oh, and they’ve been dating for about four months. In fact, when Kardashian and Jenner were taping for season 12 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians  in January, they “ got into a huge argument while filming,” a family source told Radar Online . “He confessed that he and Blac were trying for a baby, and Kris lost it.” The Kardashian women think Chyna “has an agenda,” the source added. “They think it’s her life plan to have a baby with a rich man. She already did it once before.” Chyna has a three-year-old son, King Cairo with her ex-boyfriend, Tyga, who happens to be dating Kardashian’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner. The source squealed that Jenner and her daughters think the relationship is a complete farce, and the couple are merely doing this to upset the family. “Blac and Rob have no chemistry whatsoever. She doesn’t even seem to like him,” the source claims. Born Angela Renee White, Chyna filed legal documents to change her name to “Angela Renee Kardashian.” The reason? Other than the fact that she’ll soon marry one, Chyna wants to use the name for “entertainment services, television and movie appearances, living as a ‘social media celebrity,’ and party hosting,” reports the site. And while ideally, a family would be thrilled to see their name live on, this is not the case for the reality stars. Welp, Kardashian could care less.  In fact, he toasted his baby mama on Mother’s Day. “I fell in Love with her immediately because of how great of a mom she is and now I’m looking forward to starting a Family with her!” Kardashian wrote.
