Duggar Family Mourns the Death of a Loved One

Sad news out of Arkansas today, as members of the Duggar family are mourning a tragic loss. Jessa Duggar broke the news on Facebook this week, asking for fans’ help in supporting the family of Dianna Fleshman, a longtime friend who was tragically struck down in her prime. “Our hearts ache over the loss of this dear friend, but we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord,” Jessa wrote, along with a link to the family’s GoFundMe page. “Please continue to pray for Dianna’s family, and especially for her husband and 2-month-old son, during this time.” Jessa did not go into further detail, but according to the fundraising page, Dianna and her husband, Dylan Fleshman, were driving from Oklahoma to Minnesota with their infant son when they were struck by a crop-sprayer. Dylan and Victor were unharmed, but Dianna died in a hospital six days after the accident. “On Friday, the 25th of May, 2018 Dylan and Dianna Fleshman (from Guthrie, Oklahoma) were driving to her family’s house in Hayfield, Minnesota for dinner, when they collided with a large crop sprayer a half mile from the family’s home,” reads the GoFundMe page. “Dylan and their two-month-old son Vincent came away from the accident without injury. However, Dianna received major head trauma and a fractured skull.” As Dylan is now his infant son’s sole caretaker, it may be quite some time before he’s able to return to work. “We are hoping to raise funds for Dylan and his family as he will be unable to work for an extended amount of time,” the family explained. “We feel that $68,000 is a good start to help ease some of the financial pressure that he will be facing. Please keep the Fleshman family in your prayers as there are difficult decisions and hard times ahead. “Thank you for your prayers and support. We are are hoping to raise this money over the next few weeks.” Currently, more than $26,000 has been raised for Dianna’s family. As one might expect of such a massive family, the Duggars have a massive network of friends. And when they’re able to, they often use their considerable clout to lend a hand to those in need. Just last year, a friend of Jill Duggar’s was murdered , and the Duggars stepped up to assist with fundraising efforts for the benefit of the woman’s family. Money may seem a matter of little consequence in the face of death, but the Duggars seem well aware that for those left behind, it can help to alleviate a crushing burden. Josh Duggar: Still a Pervert, Still Making Anna Miserable (Report)

It’s been almost three years since the world learned that Josh Duggar molested five young girls , four of whom were his sisters. Initially, it looked as though the scandal would bring an end to the Duggars’ wildly lucrative media empire, especially after Josh was caught cheating on his wife using an online account he created solely for that purpose. In that time, the rest of Josh’s family has gone to great pains to distance themselves from the disgraced former lobbyist. He rarely appears on any of his siblings’ social media pages, and the Duggars have gone to such great lengths to keep Josh off their popular reality show that he was once digitally erased from a scene in Counting On . These days, Josh works on a used car lot owned by his father, and while he’s still invited to family functions, sources say he’s mostly cut off from his siblings and parents. Along with his wife and five children, Josh lives in a separate town, attends a separate church, and has little involvement in the day-to-day lives of his more famous family members. Josh’s parents helped him to avoid criminal prosecution, but there’s a modicum of comfort in knowing he has at least paid some small price for his deplorable actions. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Josh’s exile had led him to change his ways. In a recent discussion on Reddit, one verified user described himself thusly: “I live in Springdale and my uncle and aunt go to the same home church as the Duggars. They’ve attended my church multiple times and I’ve hung out with them at family camps and home school retreats a lot. “There seems to be a huge misconception that they’re insane (I grew up around this so my definition is probably different than yours) but if you have any questions I can try to clear anything up to the best of my ability.” He encouraged other users to ask him questions about the Duggars’ lifestyle and not surprisingly, it wasn’t long before the conversation turned to Josh. Asked if the family seems happy despite the tumultuous events of the past three years, the Springdale resident had this to say: “Honestly, yes, the only one who seems like she’s miserable is Anna. And as someone who has met Josh multiple times, he’s not someone who seems like he’d be a whole lot of fun to be married too.” He elaborated: “[Josh] just stares at every girl he meets like she is an object for him to do something with.” “Most of the Duggar boys are very respectful and are good at keeping their eyes up — Josh never has been, and I know he was reprimanded a lot for his wandering eyes as a kid,” the source adds. Obviously, it’s disturbing to think that Josh’s parents may have ignored early warning signs of potentially deviant behavior. But it’s even more disturbing to think the father of five may not have changed his ways.  Sadly, with the wall of secrecy the Duggars have built up around themselves, it seems extremely unlikely that any further misconduct from Josh would ever become public knowledge. Jill Duggar: Is She Questioning Her Faith In God?!

Essentially, the Duggars are famous for two things – being very fertile and being very religious. The two conditions are inextricably linked, of course, as only people who believe they’ll go to eternal hell if they use condoms would subject themselves to the temporary hell of raising 19 children. Just kidding, Duggars! Anyway, it seems Jill Duggar is proving to be an unexpected rebel in more ways than one. Not only has she yet to sire an entire baseball team’s worth of children (complete with full pitching staff and designated hitters), but fans think she might be turning her back on her faith. In a recent Instagram post, Jill revealed that she’s currently reading a book with the rather ambitious title of The Story of Reality . “Wow! I’m not even finished with this book yet and it’s so good! Just read chapters 13-15 today. If you’ve ever wondered #whydoesgodallowsuffering or you’ve stopped believing in God then you’ve gotta read this book!” Jill wrote. “I could never give up on God, our father,” one user wrote, apparently under the impression that Jill was questioning her faith. “He is the reason we are all here, on the earth he made. You just need to remember to believe in him.” At one point a user who identified herself as an atheist congratulated Jill on opening herself up to new ideas. Needless to say, the situation threw some of Jill’s more pious followers for a loop. “This is a Christian book and how everything in the world ties in with God. People are making ignorant assumptions and haven’t even bothered to learn what this book is about,” one user argued. Indeed, according to a description on the book’s Amazon page, The Story of Reality makes an argument for “Christianity as a true story of how the world began.” So relax, folks – it appears that Jill has no intention of deviating from the belief system she was raised with. But that’s not stopping the debate from raging on Jill’s Instagram page. For some of her followers, the most interesting part of Jill’s latest post has nothing to do with her beliefs, and everything to do with to do the most compelling word in the book’s title – reality. When Derick Dillard attacked Jazz Jennings on Twitter, he launched his tirade by accusing the teen of starring in “a reality show that promotes an unreality.” Derick was fired by TLC for his harassment, and some former fans couldn’t resist the opportunity to remind Jill of her family’s latest scandal: “The Reality is that your homophobic husband got fired from the show! Duggar Courtship News: Who Will Enter a Relationship Next?

We're only five days into the new year, but 2018 has already seen a Duggar baby announcement and a whole slew of courship speculation. We now know that Jinger Duggar is expecting her first child , but that's certainly not the only way in which reality TV's largest family will be expanding in the months to come. Joy-Anna Duggar is also expecting, as is Joseph Duggar's new wife, Kendra Caldwell. And of course, several single Duggars are set to embark on courtship journeys of their own in the months to come. Here's a rundown of who might be next to leave the nest: 1. Jana Duggar The perennial fan favorite. Fans have been hoping for a courtship announcement from Jana for years now. And thanks to her increasingly close “friendship” with Caleb Williams, it seems 2018 will finally be her year. 2. John David Duggar This is another one that wouldn’t come as much of a surprise. In fact, it’s widely believed that John David is already involved in a secret courtship with a woman from Texas. No word on why he might be keeping things on the down-low. 3. The Pressure Is On! Both Jana and John David are no doubt feeling the pressure to announce relationships. The twins will turn 28 this month, and they’re the oldest unmarried Duggars by a considerable margin. 4. Josiah Duggar Many fans believe this is the year that Josiah Duggar will once again try his hand at courtship. Josiah is the only member of his family to enter a relationship that did not result in marriage, having pursued an ill-fated romance with Marjorie Jackson in 2016. 5. A Social Media Loophole Some fans believe Josiah is the next to go a-courtin’, as in many respects, he’s more modern and mature than many of his siblings. Duggars are typically forbidden to have social media accounts until they enter a formal courtship. However, Josiah has maintained an Instagram page despite the fact that his relationship with Jackson has come to en end, leading many to believe that he’s using it to keep in touch with potential mates. 6. Jedediah Duggar Smart money is on Jedediah Duggar announcing a courship in 2018. As many fans have pointed out, he was likely already involved in a romantic relationship that went awry. Jill Duggar SLAMMED for Sharing Offensive Photo of Her Son?!

There are lots of fun things about being a celebrity. Money, fame, adoring fans … what’s not to like? As it turns out, if you just think about it for a minute, there are actually quite a few things not to like — for instance, all those strangers who feel like it’s OK to criticize you for each and every thing you do. Sometimes it’s deserved, of course, but a lot of times, haters hate just for the fun of it. The Duggars know that. They know it very, very well. To be clear, the Duggars have done several things through the years that deserve heaps and heaps of hate. That horrible molestation scandal , and the way Jim Bob and Michelle handled it? Despicable. Josh’s Ashley Madison mistakes and his admission that he was addicted to both sex and porn? Yes, sure, throw all kinds of shade at that. But a few days ago, Jill posted this photo of her younger son, Samuel, on Instagram: And surely there are things more deserving of your outrage than this. “That moment when you hear the rumble and you’re like, ‘oh no! Quick! Stand him upright before he….too late,” Jill captioned the picture. She added the hashtags “Samuel Scott Dillard,” “Sam the Man,” and “blowout,” just in case you needed a little more information. The photo is instantly relatable for anyone who’s ever spent any significant amount of time around babies. Things like this happen, and they happen often. But still, a lot of people feel like, for many reasons, Jill was wrong for sharing this. “What would possess you to post such a dumb picture, Jill?” one of her followers asked. “Slow day at the house of Derelict Dillweed?” All right, that’s a pretty solid nickname for Derick Dillard , we’re not going to lie. But things do get a lot worse. “Why the hell would you post a pic of poop coming thru onesie?” another person asked. “Just another reason showing how you ‘girls’ really don’t have a life outside of being submissive to your hubbys.” Someone told Jill that her post was “really not in good taste,” and someone else said “Seriously, it’s gross and nobody wants to see that.” For one of her followers, the picture was simply too much — this person wrote “SMDH – yes quick take a pic post it on social media. Screw the fact he should of been changed.” “Same as you did to poor Izzy bind him in a blanket let him cry as you take pics to post. Social Media comes before your kids damn Jill you are your parents!” Way harsh, right? But honestly, these people are kind of right. If you’re on social media yourself, there’s a good chance that you’ve seen photos like these — some parents just enjoy sharing things like this. You’d think that more people would understand that their friends don’t really care to see picture of actual poop while scrolling through their Instagram feeds … But obviously you’d think wrong. Still, this is all harmless, and we’re sure precious little Samuel didn’t suffer too much while his mom put off changing him for a second to take this picture. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard SLAMMED for Remarks About Muslims!

The Dillards have gone and done it again! And by “it,” of course we mean make offensive, horrific statements like it’s totally normal and not at all a problem. It’s like they’re making a career out of being awful, which is convenient, considering that Derick caused the family their sweet, sweet reality show gig with his bizarre habit of making bigoted remarks about a teenage girl . In addition to Derick’s continued harassment of Jazz Jennings, he’s been making hateful comments about the transgender community in general. He’s also still begging Duggar fans for money , and then there’s more general weirdness, like the way he tried to announce that he hadn’t been fired from Counting On a month after the news broke that he had in fact been fired. It’s all bad. Very bad. And with this new update he and Jill shared on their blog … well, they’re not making things better. The blog was a little update on their family, just in time for Christmas. They opened things up with “We have had the privilege over the last few months to have many interactions with international students and their families!” If you’re familiar with these people, you can probably tell where this is going already. They wrote that they helped their church organize a “Thanksgiving dinner in an American home” event where different families welcomed a student from the University of Arkansas into their homes — the students were from “mostly Muslim families.” “One of the Ph.D students from an Arab country brought her husband and child,” they recounted. “Her husband seems very open to the gospel and even said if they were going to be in the area he would’ve loved to visit our church!’ “We are praying for him as Derick and others continue to befriend him that God will save his soul.” But Derick isn’t the only one working on converting the Muslim masses — “Jill and the boys have been able to be part of a weekly Arab ladies English class, with Muslim ladies from several different countries.” “Every week the ladies meet at a friend’s home where they learn to make an American dish, eat together, then read a Bible story and discuss the English language.” Sounds super. Their adventures aren’t over yet though — they also wrote that while shopping on Black Friday, they “saw a couple ladies wearing burkas, so Jill stopped to ask them where they were from and invited them to the Bible study.” “They came that week, and one of the ladies brought some traditional tea and treats to share. When asked if they had ever read a story from the Bible, both ladies said they had not.” “We are praying that they will return to more Bible studies.” As always, Jill promoted the blog post on her Instagram, and judging by the comments, the post was not well received. “Wonderful,” one person commented. “I’m sure you’ve welcomed your new Muslim friends to share the Quran with you.” “That comment about the Muslim families seems like more of a ‘look we are accepting people please donate ‘ comment than a comment about loving everyone and accepting people from different faiths,” another speculated. “People don’t need to be saved,” a commenter explained, “they need their beliefs to be respected. Approaching people while they are living their daily lives to try to convert them is deeply wrong.” “Respect is a two way thing, Jill, and asking someone who is wearing a burka about the Bible is not respect and showing understanding, it’s moral imperialism.” Someone called it “disgusting” that they “can’t just do a nice thing for people,” they “have to use it as an opportunity to convert them,” and another person told them “No one needs to be ‘saved’ but you two.” And those are all very, very valid points. If you’re a fan of her famous family, then you’ve no doubt heard by now that Joy-Anna Duggar is pregnant with her first child. And you’re probably also aware that there’s a great deal of controversy surrounding Joy-Anna’s date of conception . The Duggars claim that Joy-Anna got pregnant on one of the first days of her honeymoon after marrying Austin Forsyth  back in May. That would put her at about seven months along, with a due date in February. However, some fans believe Joy is much further along than she claims, and may be due before the end of the year. If Joy did get pregnant out of wedlock, it’s not hard to see why the Duggars would do their best to keep it under wraps. The family’s famous ” courtship rules ” make up a big part of the godly, wholesome image that’s so appealing to their most devoted fans. A premarital pregnancy wouldn’t be as devastating to that image as the Josh Duggar sex scandals , but it certainly wouldn’t do the Duggars any favors. As such, you can bet that the Joy-Anna’s parents would do everything in their power to hide it from the press if it turned out she and Austin engaged in premarital sex. Many fans believe the effort to keep the truth under wraps consumes most of the Duggars time these days, hence why filming for the next season of Counting On has been delayed. They also point to other signs that they say serve as obvious indications of a conspiracy. The latest, they claim, is the secrecy around the gender of Joy-Anna’s baby. Typically, pregnant Duggar women eagerly reveal on social media whether they’re having a boy or a girl, usually along with an ultrasound photo. According to In Touch Weekly , Joy-Anna has decided not to share the news publicly. Naturally, many are convinced that the decision is yet another sign the Duggars are eager to keep fans at arm’s length with regard to Joy’s pregnancy. Obviously, a sonogram would be the clearest evidence to date of Joy-Anna’s due date, and conspiracy theorists would be quick to pounce if the fetus were any bigger than most. Like most of the signs that Joy-Anna got pregnant earlier than she claims, it’s hardly concrete evidence, but it’s more than enough for fans who want to believe she got knocked up before  Doctors who have examined photos of her have confirmed that Joy-Anna appears to be further along than she claims.
