Until now. The singer called into Ryan Seacrest ‘s radio show Friday morning and finally shared her sentiments on the rapper’s naughty hand gesture and the headlines it made in wake of the show. Sarcastically calling it “punk rock,” Madge said she didn’t realize it happened until after she walked off the stage, noting that she couldn’t keep track of everything that was happening while the performance was taking place. But, once she did find out, she wasn’t amused by her “Give Me All Your Luvin’ ” collaborator’s actions. “I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it. I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity; it seemed negative,” she said. “It’s such a teenager, irrelevant thing to do. … There was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place.” She later added that despite the snafu she “was overwhelmed. I started crying. I felt an incredible sense of warmth, love, and support. To see an entire stadium light up like candles it was … like a religious experience.” Much like Madonna, fellow Super Bowl halftime performer Cee Lo Green had no idea that M.I.A. had given the middle finger during the show. “Honestly, I did not hear anything about it,” he continued. “There was no talk about it in the dressing room afterwards and we didn’t stay long after the performance because it was honestly a relief we had had it done. So I didn’t hear anything until I got up to do the morning show, ‘Today.’ And television is a very sensitive [thing].” With that controversy behind her, Madge is looking to the future. She’s next set to start work on her world tour and shoot her video for the second MDNA single, “Girls Gone Wild.” As for those rumors that Britney Spears is on the track she said, “No, it’s just little, ol’ me. Santa Cruz garbage man turned “X Factor” third-place finisher Chris Rene has signed a deal with Epic Records, where he will be reunited with his “Factor” mentor, Epic boss L.A. Reid. “I’ve dreamt about this moment my whole life,” Rene told Entertainment Weekly . “And now its here. Working with L.A. Reid — ‘Big Homie’ — is a dream come true; he’s a great man.” Rene will be label mates with another “Factor” finalist, fourth-placer Astro, the teenage rapper who revealed to MTV News on Tuesday that he would also be teaming with Reid at Epic. Rene was one of the breakout stars in the first season of “Factor,” winning both hearts and minds with his falsetto singing/laconic rapping and a compelling backstory that followed his rise from crippling drug addiction to a near-win on the Simon Cowell-created show. The singer carved a new path in the suddenly crowded reality singing competition world by honestly detailing his drug struggles and performing two original songs during the show’s run. Just 70 days sober when he came in for his first audition, Rene charmed the judges, who agreed to let him continue in the competition as long as he promised to keep on the straight and narrow. As the season unfolded, viewers learned that his sister Gina — who also tried out for the show — was also a musician who had landed songs on the a number of soundtracks, including 2004’s “Mean Girls.” One of the high points of Rene’s run on the show was during Michael Jackson week, when he shared the story of how his grandfather, Leon Rene, wrote the Jackson 5 hit “Rockin’ Robin” and stared the first black-owned R&B label on the West Coast.

Kat Von D walked off the set of Good Day L.A. Wednesday, bailing on an interview at the last moment because she says producers went back on their word. The LA Ink star claims she agreed to discuss her breakup with Jesse James on the condition that it wasn’t mentioned by the anchor in the introduction. According to Kat, that simple request was flat-out ignored by anchor Jeff Michael, whose introduction highlighted Kat Von D and Jesse James’ breakup . Kat says she saw what was on the teleprompter before he read it, and even pulled a producer aside to have someone change the script. Didn’t happen. Von D says she “very politely” informed them that if it wasn’t changed, she wouldn’t go on. They either forgot to change it or tried to call her bluff … but she wasn’t bluffing. Kat pulled a Paris Hilton and peaced out. Later, during the show, the executive producer said Kat’s only request was not to bring up Sandra Bullock or Michelle “Bombshell” McGee .
