Our Scientology sources tell us there’s an interesting reason that Travolta and company are swarming into Haiti. And it’s even more appalling than you might have thought — tragedy profiteering. Travolta arranged for one plane of supplies to get to Port-au-Prince, and personally flew another Boeing 707 there himself.

A NY dairy farmer shot and killed his 51 cows then turned the rifle on himself and committed suicide. The report on why was not divulged, only to say he had “personal” problems. Another farmer was quoted as saying it's a hard time to be a farmer

Haiti quake victim rescue operation declared over

Haiti's government has made the “heartbreaking” decision to declare the search and rescue phase for survivors of the earthquake over, the UN says. The announcement came a day after two people, an 84-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man, were pulled alive from the rubble in Port-au-Prince. The UN spokeswoman Elizabeth Byrs says 132 people have been rescued since the earthquake 11 days ago.
