They knew that all they had to do was string a bunch of sciency-like words together, that all ended in “logical”, and people would not notice that the resolution they just passed did not make any damn sense. Especially if those “people” had the misfortune of getting their education from the South Dakota school district. Let me guess. The people of South Dakota just LOVE Sarah Palin, don’t they?

War Spending Surges in Obama’s Budget

President Barack Obama’s new budget, to be released Monday, forecasts two consecutive years of near $160 billion in war funding, far more than he hoped when elected and only modestly less than the last years of the Bush Administration. In 2011 alone, the revised numbers are triple what the president included in his spending plan a year ago. And the strain shows itself in new deficit projections, already hobbled by lagging revenues due to the weak economy.

SAG Awards 2010: Full List of Winners & Nominees

Sandra Bullock continued her seemingly unstoppable awards-show winning streak for The Blind Side at Saturday’s 2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Other top movie winners last night included Jeff Bridges, like Sandra a Golden Globe winner, for outstanding male leading actor ( Crazy Heart ), and the stars of Inglourious Basterds , which claimed outstanding performance by an ensemble cast.
