The original Movieline magazine ran a bunch of great features, but the most lamented one has to be Bad Movies We Love. The world never runs out of horrible, adorable films, and that’s because they’re the most gratifying to talk about. I haven’t discussed my favorite movie, Rear Window , as much as I have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secret of the Ooze , and that’s because James Stewart and Grace Kelly never rapped with Vanilla Ice about crime-fighting humanoids (though you never know about Thelma Ritter). The point of it all: Thanks to the infinite, Biblical, pathetic joy that bad cinema produces, we’re exhuming Bad Movies We Love in weekly installments. Throw your vanities in a bonfire and join us!

Adam Scott Joins the Already Impressive My Idiot Brother

So, how about My Idiot Brother ? Not only does it star Paul Rudd as the titular idiot, but also Elizabeth Banks, Emily Mortimer and Zooey Deschanel as his sisters. And Rashida Jones as Deschanel’s girlfriend . High fives all around! And now you can add Adam Scott to the roster as well. The Party Down star has been cast as Rudd’s neighbor in the film, presumably the deadpan one with the air of superiority and great hair. Between this and Parks and Recreation , it looks like someone is having himself a bit of a moment. [ The Playlist ]

Last Night on 30 Rock: Sky Law

As good as the season finale of 30 Rock was — and as winningly charming and funny as Matt Damon wound up being — there was something unavoidably disappointing about the whole thing. Because Liz Lemon’s new boyfriend — the seemingly perfect-for-her pilot, Carroll — is played by_ Matt Damon_, you know it isn’t going to end well. And that’s too bad. If there is one problem with the parade of famous guest stars on 30 Rock , it’s just that: They’re famous guests . Like Matt Damon is going to stop making movies to spend the rest of his career rubbing Liz Lemon’s “disgusting foot secret?” No, of course he’s not.
