THG Asks: Should Rex Ryan Be Disciplined Over His Wife’s Foot Video?

Welcome to THG’s new feature, in which two of our celebrity gossip experts debate topical issues in the entertainment world and you decide who wrote the winning argument! Today, THG Asks : Should Rex Ryan face disciplinary action over his wife’s foot fetish video? YES by Hilton Hater When Rex signed a contract that pays $3 million a year, he did so with the acknowledgment that he was accepting more than just owner Woody Johnson’s money and the task of leading the Jets to their first Super Bowl since 1969. He was also trading in any semblance of a private life. Ryan coaches in new York, the sports equivalent of Beverly Hills when it comes to tabloid coverage. He’s the face of a franchise. He had to have known this embarrassing video would surface. It was his responsibility to do what he could to remove it. Not because I care one iota about what Rex Ryan’s sex life. But because a coach’s job is to motivate, not distract. When Darrelle Revis is answering questions about the pinky toe tickle instead of the zone blitz, something is very wrong. NO by Free Britney

Paris Hilton’s Ridiculous Stage Performance of the Day

Seeing Paris Hilton in her racing suit wasn’t enough Paris Hilton for one day….you know since she’s disappeared the last couple years from being burnt out from being famous for nothing…but more importantly, because we lost interest in her. Paris Hilton is like a tranny, addicted to cock, addicted to being the center of attention, not worried about being tacky or trashy, acting all glamorous and glittery, while looking hard faced and cheap, only I know she has a vagina because I have seen it a bunch of times from various states of getting penis inside her to just casually getting out of her car….so being a tranny can’t be the explanation behind this embarrassing low budget burlesque show she’s putting on in Spain….but being cheesy, mainstream, boring and obvious probably clearly can…..and the worst thing in all this is that I’d totally tongue fuck her during an outbreak cuz I’ll stick my mouth in anything…I just can’t understand how Paris Hilton isn’t a gay man..It really fucks with my head..but not as much as her bloated 30 year old coke body…. If you want to see the shitty videos of the shitty event – you can check out youtube HERE , I did the work for you already… Here are the pics of her in some drugged out party monster disco bullshit that isn’t hot, but that is very very funny….

Debi Nova Explains ‘Coming To America’ Moment On ‘When I Was 17’

Costa Rica native was overwhelmed by the sheer number of toilet-paper varieties. By MTV News staff Debi Nova Photo: MTV News Since “When I Was 17” premiered in May, we’ve heard celebrity stories of teenage heartbreak and hilarity, triumph and defeat, and OK, a whole lot of foolishness. Drake shared memories of his days rocking what he called a “terrible afro,” Queen Latifah recalled the day she landed her first record deal, and Bret Michaels shared intimate details about the night he lost his virginity. This Saturday’s episode brings us a tale of hope for the future — and a bit of terror at the present. When “Drummer Boy” singer Debi Nova was 17, she emigrated from Costa Rica to Los Angeles. What she found in La La Land was enormously enticing and more than a little overwhelming. “There was a very specific story that marked my coming-to-America moment,” she explains. The event took place almost as soon as her plane had touched down in California and she set out to get some household supplies. “Very first week I get here, I go into the supermarket because I need some toilet paper,” she said. “I go in the toilet-paper aisle and I’m like, ‘OK, unscented, aloe vera, recycled, non-recycled, double-ply, triple-ply, four rolls, eight rolls, 12 rolls, 32 rolls. What do you want?’ ” Tune into Saturday’s show to hear more about Nova’s first year in America, including the embarrassing time she failed her driver’s license test. New York Yankees ace CC Sabathia , who already stood 6-foot-6 before he’d even hit his 18th birthday, and Ciara, who found out what it was like to be cheated on at the tender age of 17, are also featured in the new episode. “When I Was 17” — this week featuring Debi Nova, CC Sabathia and Ciara — airs Saturday at 11 a.m. on MTV. Dude, Where’s My Discrimination? Jake Tapper Notes Lack of Discrimination Charge in Arizona Lawsuit

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing Importance, unless suspended in their Operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them. — Thomas Jefferson, The United States Declaration of Independence. Oops! So what happened to all that discrimination and violation of civil rights that the Arizona immigration law was supposed to cause? Apparently the federal government decided it was so lacking that they didn’t include it in their lawsuit against the Arizona law. Jake Tapper of ABC News notes the distinct lack of a discrimination charge in the federal lawsuit: As widely anticipated, Attorney General Eric Holder today filed a lawsuit against Arizona and Gov. Jan Brewer over the state’s immigration law. The suit seeks a preliminary injunction to stop the law from being implemented. The court filing states that Arizona law is pre-empted by federal law and therefore violates the supremacy clause of the U.S. Constitution. The filing makes no assertion that the law is discriminatory or risks being applied in a discriminatory fashion, as the president and other officials said they feared would be the case. Interestingly, this suit makes no civil rights charges against the Arizona law. Huh? So what was all that liberal thunder about how discriminatory the Arizona immigration immigration law supposedly is? Apparently the U.S. Justice Department was unable to find such discrimination to use in its lawsuit. Instead, the federal government is taking the King George III approach when the states attempt to enforce laws neglected by the Crown, oops, I mean the Obama administration. The Associated Press also notes the embarrassing lack of a discrimination charge in the federal lawsuit: PHOENIX — The federal lawsuit against Arizona’s tough new immigration law focuses heavily on a question that has been in the spotlight repeatedly the past decade and dates back to the Founding Fathers: The right of the government to keep states from enacting laws that usurp federal authority. The lawsuit filed in Phoenix federal court on Tuesday sidestepped concerns about the potential for racial profiling and civil rights violations most often raised by immigration advocates. Experts said those are weaker arguments that don’t belong in a legal challenge brought by the White House to get the measure struck down. Weaker arguments? You can bet that if discrimination could have been detected in the Arizona immigration law, it would have been front and center in the federal lawsuit. So how are other MSM outlets handling the very notable lack of a discrimination charge in the federal lawsuit against Arizona? Very gingerly. The Washington Post article on this lawsuit is an example. The embarrassing absence of any discrimination charge is only mentioned towards the end of the story: Although the lawsuit cites potential “detention and harassment” of U.S. citizens and immigrants who do not carry identification documents, it declines to make a legal argument that the law would lead to racial profiling. But a senior Justice Department official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that if the law takes effect, “we will monitor it very, very closely, and if we become aware of any racial profiling or civil rights violations, that’s something that we would take action on.”  Shh! Let’s not focus on the lack of a racial profiling charge in the federal lawsuit against Arizona.

Media ‘Feeding Frenzy’ Continues in Palin Coverage, Gainor Says

The video of journalists mocking Sarah Palin after a speech she delivered Friday is just the latest in a long line of media bias against the former Alaska governor and conservative superstar. An open mic caught reporters and photographers criticizing Palin following a speech at a fundraising dinner at California State University. “Oh my God,” one voice is heard saying, “I feel like I just got off a roller coaster, going round and round, and up and down. S*** flying out … everywhere.” While this video is among the clearest examples of media hatred for Palin, the trend goes back at least two years, according to MRC Vice President for Business and Culture Dan Gainor. “Back around the vice presidential debate in 2008 there were 37 negative stories on the broadcast networks, just two positive,” Gainor told “Fox & Friends” June 27. “It’s been a feeding frenzy ever since. Some of these journalists hate her so bad if she cured cancer they’d complain how many doctors she put out of work.” Gainor credited advances in technology with giving the American public a clearer picture of media bias in cases like the Palin video, Helen Thomas’ anti-Israel comments, and Washington Post blogger Dave Weigel’s anti-conservative e-mails. “What they’re discovering, and the key point is, their lies, their leaks, their embarrassing moments are going be to be held out there just like they’ve been doing to everybody else for decades,” Gainor said. “My parents would say, ‘What goes around comes around.'”

American Idol Recap: Tim Urban Doesn’t Suck!

Tim Urban is a very nice guy, with a great smile and an even better attitude. But, let’s face it: the singer isn’t really American Idol finalist matieral. Heck, he’s scarcely American Idol semifinalist material, only advancing to the top 24 of season nine after another contestant got disqualified. It’s difficult not to root for Urban, however. Which made his rendition of “All My Loving” so refreshing this week. Not only did Tim avoid another embarrassing critique at the hands of the judges, he actually finished in the top three! Well, THG’s top three at least. Here’s how we’d rank last night’s Beatles-inspired performances: Casey James : Taking a page from the solo John Lennon catalog, Kara’s former crush put on a tender, touching rendition of “Jealous Guy.” Crystal Bowersox : She played a didgeridoo for “Come Together.” Yes, that’s a wind instrument. And playing it on stage made us love Crystal even more. Tim Urban: Did this rendition remind anyone else of The Plain White T’s? Great work all around. Michael Lynche: We still can’t envision Big Mike winning it all. Accompanied by a mini orchestra on stage, though, Lynche made his heart show through again with “Eleanor Rigby.” Siobhan Magnus: Look at that outfit (below)! Such a unique contestant, with a sound that also ensures she’ll stand out. Went with “Across the Universe.” Lee DeWyze : The judges loved his confidence, but we didn’t think it was Lee’s best performance. It’s a difficult, well-known song to try and cover. Katie Stevens: Great vocals, didn’t seem too old for a change… but Katie still doesn’t do it for us. She did change “Hey Jude” and made it her own, but that’s not always a great thing. Andrew Garcia: Considered “corny” by the judges. Can we all forget his Paula Abdul rendition weeks ago and just admit that Garcia won’t be around much longer? Aaron Kelly: Sorry. You’re cute, but that isn’t enough to make this version of “The Long and Winding Road” remotely memorable. Who was your favorite performer of the evening?
