Apparently the Emmys were held last night, which I didn’t watch because I don’t need somebody else to tell me what the best TV is. Everybody already knows it’s the 5-1o minutes of every Modern Family episode where Sofia Vergara shows off that perfect cleavage of hers. So it only makes sense that Sofia busted out at the Emmys to celebrate. Although now I kind of wish I’d watched the telecast, because those funbags are always must-see TV. I boycott any and all award shows, only because I feel like all these motherfuckers have already won at life and most of these motherfuckers are undeserving of winning at anything. I find it pretty obnoxious to award each other on your commercial shit work, like the award matters, because idiots at home who are so far removed from the Emmy Awards think this a totally legit judging system, that isn’t paid off by the people who made the shows…from my understanding hollywood is really run by a half dozen people, meaning the people really making money off this publicity stunt, make money no matter who wins…it’s just a good way to keep actors thinking what they do is actually important and not a joke…feed the dancing monkeys ego and the Dancing monkey will keep king his dancing monkey trips, because you know, just being nominated is more than they could ever imagine…bullshit. Laverne Cox Earns Best Supporting Actress Critics’ Choice Nod After making history with a TIME Magazine cover feature , Laverne Cox is now breaking ground for transgender actresses in the industry with a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Mind you, the Critics’ Choice Awards are a pretty good barometer for what shows and actors will sweep the Emmys later this year…so it’s likely that she’ll cop even bigger accolades later in the year. With the rough time Black women have getting meaningful roles and equal recognition in Hollywood, do you think it’s fair for a transgender actress to be nominated in the women’s category? Or, on the flip side, since she identifies and lives her life as female, does she deserve a nomination in the women’s category regardless of what may or may not be between her legs? What are your thoughts?
