Woman Sues Developer For Failing To Inform Her Of Racist Neighbor A New Jersey woman was who was livid after learning that she’d purchased a home next to an openly racist man is now suing the home developer for failing to warn her. via News One Cyndee Phoenix (pictured) thought she had found the perfect home in a Hamilton County, N. J., residential community to live in with her elderly parents and sister. But what Phoenix did not know and now claims was not revealed to her by the developer, Lennar Homes Corp, who promoted promises of a “wonderful lifestyle,” was that she and her family would be tormented by a neighbor who would threaten, intimidate and make racist remarks. She is suing the developer for “knowingly concealing” that her future neighbor was a “dangerous individual,” according to Courthouse News. Phoenix closed on her home last October and moved in a month later. Lennar Homes reportedly warned the neighbor in question, Kevin Elville Potter, about his alleged harassing behavior, requesting that he cease his hostile conduct. According to documents filed in Atlantic County Court, Potter began his harassing ways soon after Phoenix moved in. Potter allegedly made “death threats to plaintiff’s sister, spit in the direction of Phoenix’s family members, made snide and racist comments about plaintiff, has taken pictures of plaintiff’s guests and stared them down in attempts to intimidate them and continued blocking plaintiff’s driveway with his parked cars.” The complaint also describes how Phoenix is so “afraid to leave her home” and “is constantly living in fear” that she was forced to hire a security guard because the family was also allegedly stalked by Potter. Phoenix claims that her security guard was even harassed by Potter, who once reportedly followed the employee for 15 miles on the freeway. There’s no arguing that this man’s actions are blatantly prejudice and uncalled for from the sounds of things but, it’ll be hard to prove that the home developer had knowledge of his racist ways before hand. It all started on July 9th, at 10 a.m. when I arrived to Chicago. I went to eat lunch at a cafe where Justin was staying incase he came out. After that, all I did was wait outside the employee entrance because I’ve heard its the best place to stay. I stayed there until I heard screams and ran to the front. Kenny and Dan came out and I was able to touch them. Then what I didn’t realize until later, Kenny took a picture of us by the bus. I was in it, in the front with the gold sparkly shorts. That happened around 2-ish, I think. Then for the rest of the day I stayed by the back entrance. It was myself, along with four other girls, my twin sister, and mom. I was the only one who actually stayed all day. We were about to leave until security started telling us to stay to the side. It was only 6 girls there, there were hundreds of clueless girls who didn’t even know in the front. A guy working at the hotel pointed to me and said, “Come here.” He opened the door to the garage and inside was Justin just standing there! They let the others come behind me. During this time, all they kept saying was, “Keep calm so all the fans from the front wouldn’t come back.” Luckily, we kept calm. I hugged Justin, as I was shaking and told him I loved him. I realized I forgot to take a picture, so while I waited for the others, I said hi to Scooter and got a picture with him. I said hi to Fredo, but he was taking pictures so I couldn’t get one with him. Then I took a picture with Justin. Justin’s security was so nice! They were like, “You can go, go ahead,” since they realized I didn’t get a picture. Justin was holding my waist. My mom got a picture of me taking a picture with him. Then she asked if he could get a picture with me and my twin which we did. I gave him a letter which told him how much I loved him and stuff. I hugged Justin again and told him I loved him so much. He said he loved me too and that he would read the letter. Then it was time for us to leave. After this, he left on his bus and all us girls just hugged each other, crying, we couldn’t believe we just met our idol. I bawled all the way to the concert. The concert was amazing, Justin is so talented. It was the best day ever. It was by far better than getting a meet and greet. We weren’t rushed, we could take our time with him. When asked by the Swiss newspaper what should would say to Winfrey if she had the chance to talk to her again, the clerk responded: “I would apologize and say it was all a misunderstanding,” she said. “ I surely did not intentionally want to insult Ms. Winfrey. “I hope this nightmare ends soon.” The fact that there are conflicting accounts of this story doesn’t lend itself to ending “this nightmare” anytime soon. The dude above, guzzling straight from the Wendy’s Frosty machine (the vanilla kind, for unknown reasons), became a viral hit after his pic hit Reddit. Not by his doing. “I was going to buy a frosty from Wendy’s until I saw the employee do this,” the poster wrote, and shortly thereafter, the guy got 86’d. If there’s any consolation to be found in this, it’s that Taco Bell Guy tongue-bathing and fondling a set of shells this spring was probably even worse. Remember that guy? No? Well, here’s a revolting refresher: Where will the next addition to this series come from? McDonald’s? Subway? Burger King? Let’s hope none of the above, and the food defiling ceases. But if we’re forced to put money on it, BK all the way.
