Kaley Cuoco and Henry Cavill: Dating!

Henry Cavill’s romantic life just got a super big bang … or something. What we’re saying is the Man of Steel hunk is dating Kaley Cuoco.  “They are totally hot for each other,” a pal says of the British actor and The Big Bang Theory beauty, 27, who are keeping the relationship on the DL for now. Kaley did drop a major hint to her 1.4 million Twitter followers June 14. Tweeting a photo of herself gazing at a Man of Steel poster, she urged her fans to see the mega-successful Superman reboot, calling it “fantastic in every way.” For his part, a source of Cavill: “He’s excited to be dating her!” One would hope, as he is now the enemy of 20 million nerds.

EXCLUSIVE: ‘War Witch’ Star Rachel Mwanza Sees Dead People In This Harrowing Trailer

I was disappointed to learn that War Witch ‘s remarkable star, first-time actress  Rachel Mwanza didn’t get to meet her idol Beyoncé    when she traveled to Los Angeles to attend the Academy Awards on Sunday. I hope that the film’s producers and Sasha Fierce’s handlers figure out a way to make it happen.  Just think how good it would be for Beyoncé’s brand. One of those handlers should get the pop star and her husband Jay-Z to watch Kim Nguyen’s quietly powerful film about Africa’s orphan soldiers of war. It’s currently available via VOD and will open theatrically on Friday, March 1. Here’s a trailer to encourage the First Couple of Hip Hop.  In this scene, Mwanza’s character Komona earns her War Witch title after the rebel army that has just dragooned her into its ranks sends her onto the front lines to scout out the enemy’s position. There, she encounters the ghosts of her dead parents who alert her to the enemy’s presence. Light pollution — wasted light that gets thrown up into the sky instead of down onto the ground where it’s actually useful — is the enemy of every sky watcher, from the professional astronomer to the some time star gazer. Latest TSA Nightmare: Man Soaked by Urine

They keep coming — horrific examples of bad behavior by the TSA during pat-downs and body scans. The lastest: A bladder cancer survivor was soaked by his own urine after a TSA agent broke the man's urostomy bag. “I tried to warn him that he would hit the bag and break the seal on my bag, but he ignored me,” said the passenger, Thomas Sawyer. “Sure enough, the seal was broken and urine started dribbling down my shirt and my leg and into my pants. They never apologized. They acted like they hadn’t seen what happened. But I know they saw it because I had a wet mark. I am totally appalled by the fact that agents that are performing these pat-downs have so little concern for people with medical conditions.” From 3-year-old girls to nursing moms and now cancer patients, the TSA is racking up some major PR disasters, and they're heartbreaking, and they're infuriating, and there needs to be some additional sensitivity training, clearly. Christian Conservative Blasts ‘Feminized’ Medal Of Honor

While a divided nation last Tuesday finally rallied around one bright shining moment of patriotic glory — President Obama's awarding of the Medal of Honor to Afghan hero Army Sgt. Salvatore Giunta — a popular right-wing Christian commentator sharply split opinions even within his own camp. He blasted the award as “feminized” because it honors Giunta for saving his comrades rather than killing the enemy. The Army's official citation details how Giunta “exposed himself to withering enemy fire” during a daring effort to engage the enemy and extract his wounded comrades from an ambush. But Bryan Fischer, a columnist for the American Family Association who has often provoked headlines and consternation with his commentaries, read the narrative as hardly the sort of thing American soldiers were once known for. President Obama awards Medal of Honor to Army Sgt. Salvatore Giunta”When we think of heroism in battle, we used the think of our boys storming the beaches of Normandy under withering fire, climbing the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc while enemy soldiers fired straight down on them, and tossing grenades into pill boxes to take out gun emplacements,” wrote Fischer, director of issue analysis for the AFA, a longtime lobby on the Christian right. “That kind of heroism has apparently become pass

Whatever you do, DON’T call them Jihadis

Counterterror Adviser Defends Jihad as 'Legitimate Tenet of Islam' The president's top counterterrorism adviser on Wednesday called jihad a “legitimate tenet of Islam,” arguing that the term “jihadists” should not be used to describe America's enemies. During a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, John Brennan described violent extremists as victims of “political, economic and social forces,” but said that those plotting attacks on the United States should not be described in “religious terms.” He repeated the administration argument that the enemy is not “terrorism,” because terrorism is a “tactic,” and not terror, because terror is a “state of mind” — though Brennan's title, deputy national security adviser for counterterrorism and homeland security, includes the word “terrorism” in it. But then Brennan said that the word “jihad” should not be applied either. “Nor do we describe our enemy as 'jihadists' or 'Islamists' because jihad is a holy struggle, a legitimate tenet of Islam, meaning to purify oneself or one's community, and there is nothing holy or legitimate or Islamic about murdering innocent men, women and children,” Brennan said. The technical, broadest definition of jihad is a “struggle” in the name of Islam and the term does not connote “holy war” for all Muslims. However, jihad frequently connotes images of military combat or warfare, and some of the world's most wanted terrorists including Usama bin Laden commonly use the word to call for war against the West. Brennan defined the enemy as members of bin Laden's Al Qaeda network and “its terrorist affiliates.” But Brennan argued that it would be “counterproductive” for the United States to use the term, as it would “play into the false perception” that the “murderers” leading war against the West are doing so in the name of a “holy cause.” “Moreover, describing our enemy in religious terms would lend credence to the lie propagated by Al Qaeda and its affiliates to justify terrorism — that the United States is somehow at war against Islam,” he said. The comment comes after Brennan, in a February speech in which he described his respect for the tolerance and devotion of Middle Eastern nations, referred to Jerusalem on first reference by its Arabic name, Al-Quds. “In all my travels the city I have come to love most is al-Quds, Jerusalem, where three great faiths come together,” Brennan said at an event co-sponsored by the White House Office of Public Engagement and the Islamic Center at New York University and the Islamic Law Students Association at NYU. “My name is Raymond J. Johnson, Jr. Now you can call me Ray, or you can call me J, or you can call me Johnny, or you can call me Sonny, or you can call me Junie, or you can call me Ray J, or you can call me RJ, or you can call me RJJ, or you can call me RJJ Jr…. but you doesn't hasta call me Mr. Johnson!” added by: curtisreed
