While it appeared to be an invitation for the Orange Overlord of Chaos President Donald Trump to come on back home, it could be a result of heavy rains in the Washington, D.C. area last week. The Hill reports: A sinkhole has developed on the White House’s North Lawn, reporters observed Tuesday. Voice of America’s Steve Herman and Breitbart’s Charlie Spiering shared photos on Twitter of the sinkhole, which is located just outside the entrance to the briefing room. With the hole being outside the press briefing room, it could also double as a dungeon for anyone who dares challenge the Cheeto In Chief. We’re just joking. Kind of. Sort of. Source: NurPhoto / Getty Super-fast wi-fi is coming to a city near you very soon thanks to Facebook and Qualcomm. Facebook back in 2016 announced Terragraph, one of two wireless systems specifically designed to help bring internet service to underserved areas. The 60GHz wireless network can push internet through buildings in the dense urban locations. Now the social media giant announced they will be teaming up with Qualcomm to make that system even more robust. In a move that will allow manufacturers to start building 60GHz broadcast equipment, Qualcomm will now put Facebook’s Terragraph technology in upcoming chipsets. The two companies expect to start running trials of the new technology sometime mid-2019. Based on 802.11ay WLAN standard technology, the two companies have managed to add some tweaks such as massive antenna arrays, channel bonding, time synchronized nodes and TDMA protocols. The new enhancements will allow signals to serve more users, navigate through obstacles found in urban settings all at a reduced upfront cost according to Facebook. The primary goal is to bring high-speed internet to areas where laying fiber would be a costly task. There is no word on whether Facebook will use the service to offer its own straight up internet service. The social media company already has a no-cost service called Free Basics which provides users Facebook and reduced web services. The service is available in over 50 nations via 81 mobile service providers. It was recently pulled from Myanmar and other countries by Facebook due to the fact fake news and propaganda were running rampant on the service. Black women and hair loss is unfortunately a common pairing. This is largely due to the consistent reliance on weaves, wigs and braids. However, there are also many black women who suffer from forms of alopecia that don’t necessarily correlate to hair styling. On the latest episode of the Facebook talk show Red Table Talk , Jada Pinkett-Smith opened up about her frightening battle with unexpected hair loss. There was a time back in the day when hair loss was associated more with natural aging than styling, but then the widespread popularity among black women and weaves and wigs became something of a cultural phenomenon—and hair loss, traction alopecia to be exact, started to become too common. Actress Jada Pinkett-Smith recently opened up about her struggles with alopecia on the most recent episode of her new talk show Red Table Talk , with her mother and her daughter. She also revealed that her alopecia was the reason behind her edgy short haircut that she debuted on social media a few months ago. Pinkett-Smith has sought medical attention for her condition, but at press time she stated that the tests haven’t revealed the reason behind her hair loss, however she suspects stress may be the culprit. Hello Beautiful reported on the increasing conditions of alopecia sufferers within the black community and whether you have alopecia as a result of your hairstyling choices, a medical condition or it’s hereditary, the shame often associated with it can be worse than the condition itself. Many women become conditioned to continue to hide their hair loss because of embarrassment, especially if they suffer from traction alopecia, which is self-inflicted, in comparison to traditional alopecia. This shame accounts for a very profitable business of hair restoration products, including oils, creams, treatments and hair masks that promise to restore your hair to its crown and glory. Sure, most traction alopecia cases can fortunately be reversed, but traditional alopecia sufferers are often not so lucky—and that can be a hard pill to swallow. In a world where women are often taught to equate their beauty with the length, texture, style and color of their hair, living with alopecia can be very difficult. Jada Pinkett-Smith acknowledged this in her discussion, but she also recognized the positive in such a sensitive situation. She expressed that certain things happen as a result of a higher power and if the higher power chose for her to lose her hair, in the grand scheme of things it’s really a small price to pay when you consider the other serious issues she could be suffering from. As a woman, specifically a black woman, your journey and relationship with your hair is your own and should never be compared or contrasted to someone else. Whether you suffer from any form of alopecia, use relaxers, wear it natural or love to rock weaves and wigs—whatever choices and decisions you make should come from you and no one else. If all else fails, simply wrap your head up in a colorful scarf and be the beautiful queen you are. Kirk is glad that he and Rasheeda put their differences aside in this time of grieving and is starting to realize how grateful he should be to have Rasheeda in his life and how much he played himself. You know how that goes—don’t take family for granted and all that good stuff. Kirk finally gives Rasheeda a genuine apology for all of his behavior. via GIPHY Spice complains to Erica Mena that working with Tommie has been difficult. In other news, it looks like Spice and Tobias, Tokyo Vanity’s ex, have a flirtation going on, and Spice plans to take him up on his offer for a date. We all know that’s going to be some mess. Erica then discusses her music career moves and how she has decided to not work with Danger Zone. That’s when Spice reveals that she heard that Estelita is still messing around with Stevie J. Erica is annoyed, for obvious reasons and says that this is the type of thing that messed up their friendship in the first place. Basically, Erica is over Estelita putting herself in messed up situations with Stevie then crying and playing the victim when Stevie does what he does because we all know by now that Stevie gon’ Stevie. via GIPHY Karlie Redd made good on her promise to do some snooping around about BK Brasco’s activities and managed to get some tea from a woman named Amber Priddy. We all know that BK Brasco is supposed to be Sierra’s boyfriend situation so she’s not going to be happy about this. Karlie thinks it’s a great idea to rent out a classy space where herself, Mimi, Sierra, Amber Priddy, and Tokyo Vanity to come together so everything can be put all out there. Mimi is there to keep the peace and Tokyo Vanity is Sierra’s friend so that’s moral support, I guess. via GIPHY Anyway, Amber says that she and BK Brasco have a thing going on. It’s not about love, but they have sex every time they see each other. She also says that according to BK Brasco, he and Sierra aren’t together and she has receipts, but we’ll get to that in a minute. Another woman named Joy walks in. Sierra does Joy’s eyebrows and Joy is also BK Brasco’s artist. But it also turns out that Joy and BK Brasco got a thing going on too. Amber says that BK told her that he also messes around with Joy. Sierra wants to know why the heck Joy never mentioned anything before. Joy says she doesn’t have any drama with Sierra and she didn’t mention it because it’s complicated. Basically, BK Brasco told Joy that he and Sierra are best friends and they do business together. That’s when Amber pulls out a conversation she recorded between she and BK Brasco confirming such. He is straight up saying that Sierra is his best friend. She says she taped this conversation because she knew something like this would happen. Now Sierra is really pissed. She’s mad at BK Brasco, at Amber, at Joy, and at Karlie Redd for thinking this meeting was a good idea. Meanwhile, Mimi is just confused. She’s sitting there looking like… via GIPHY Because what’s the purpose of this? We all know, it’s because Karlie loves being messy. And then…Karlie and Joy go back and forth because Joy is also wondering wtf! Joy throws a drink in Karlie’s face and Sierra and Tokyo walk out. He’s annoyed that she would believe these rumors and denies messing around with Amber. via GIPHY But when Sierra brings up Joy, his stutter game is strong until he gets his story together. He says that he and Joy had a fling when he first moved to Atlanta. Sierra asks why he didn’t say anything before, but he said that he dealt with Joy while Sierra was still with Shooter, that it was done before they got together and that he didn’t feel it mattered anymore. Keely let him see his son again and it was such a sweet reunion and now back to the drama… The episode winds down with Erica paying Estelita a visit. She wants to know how Estelita went from crying about Stevie playing her to sleeping with him again. Erica outright asks Estelita what the heck is up then starts admonishing her and telling her that she needs to be careful about Stevie and generally messing up her reputation. Erica is all of a sudden the oracle because she had her own similar situation with Rich Dollaz. Estelita isn’t trying to hear it now that Stevie is finally doing what she wants with her music and she wishes Erica would reserve her judgment for someone else. She is a grown woman so, that’s that. But once again, we all know that Stevie J is gonna do what Stevie J does and that Erica is actually right in this situation. But let’s clear some things up real quick. Kristen’s husband Thomas Scott, who is Byron Scott’s son. Cece is Byron’s wife, Byron is Malaysia’s cousin, and Malaysia is crazy enough to be friends with Jackie, so that’s where all these connections connecting. Speaking of Cece, Evelyn, at various points in the episode, told Jen and eventually Kirsten that Cece was enticing men from her gym to come to her medical spa for happy endings. Evelyn alleges that this information came from other people who worked out at the same gym. Let’s hold on to this thought because we all know it’s going to get messy, especially because Jen starts repeating it like the parrot that she is. via GIPHY Fast forward a bit. Tami tells her boyfriend that Shaunie told her that Evelyn is back in town and that Evelyn does a good Tami impersonation. Tami thinks Evelyn is obsessed with her. She’s also not too cool on Jennifer because she thinks the fact that Jennifer is friends with Evelyn again, after falling out with her and talking mad smack, makes her fake. Speaking of Evelyn, Jackie is still pissed that Chantelle talked to her at the Mardi Gras party. This is so dumb. Moving forward, Kristen, Jackie, and Cece take a Polynesian dance class but the real point of this is gossip. After class, Kristen plays carrier pigeon and tells Cece what Evelyn said about her. Cece is obviously pissed, says the rumors aren’t true and plans to confront Evelyn. Jackie takes this info to Malaysia and Tami over dinner. You know how this goes, gossip, gossip, and more gossip because these grown women are perpetually in the mental state of high school. Malaysia feels some type of way about this because Cece is technically family, and of course she plans to get everyone together to discuss this. First Malaysia asks Cece if it’s true. Cece says it’s not true. But like, who would admit to this anyway? Now we find Jackie, Cece, Malaysia, Tami, Kristen, and Jennifer together for drinks. Things immediately jump off when Tami refers to Jennifer as Messy Mona for her involvement in spreading these rumors and because she just thinks she’s fake. They cut to the chase and confront Jen about this. Issa ambush. Jen is quick to say it’s not a rumor that came from her and that they were really just joking about it. Cece is being calm enough to receive Jen’s message, which is obviously unusual for this group, but Malaysia and Jackie seem to think that Cece needs to be acting like a wild banshee. Granted, Cece should be upset because as we all know, rumors can damage people’s reputations, especially a rumor like this because the insinuation is that Cece is a prostitute. Nothing gets resolved in this situation because the source of this rumor isn’t present. Tami eventually leaves, because she’s booked and busy now, and Jen follows her out to talk to her one on one since that didn’t happen inside the restaurant. Tami tells Jen that it’s not a good look to be the bone carrier and that she needs to stop being messy. Jen says she was just trying to figure out who Cece is. [Insert Jen’s fake bourgie voice] “I mean, is she a homewrecker or a prostitute?” and Tami, metaphorical guns blazing, quipped that Jen is already around that with Evelyn. via GIPHY Tami tells Jen not to be on the wrong side of Basketball Wives history with this one and to give Cece a chance, and that’s that. But it’s never that simple. There will be more drama next week when this rumor comes up again because Evelyn can’t not film with them forever. Source: Jeff Kravitz / Getty The 2018 Billboard Music Awards took place Sunday night (May 20) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, featuring some of the top-charting stars across several music genres. The big winners for the night were Ed Sheeran and Kendrick Lamar with Bruno Mars and Cardi B named as winners too. In a night that featured American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson as both host and performer, Salt-N-Pepa took the stage to run through their big hits including “Whatta Man” featuring the vocal talents of En Vouge. Jennifer Lopez, Shawn Mendes, and Janet Jackson , who showed and proved why she’s regarded as the best entertainer of her time. Sheeran took home the Top Artist award, with K-Dot taking hop the Top Rap Artist and Top Rap Male artist trophies. Cardi B emerged as the Top Rap Female artist, beating out Bhad Bhabie and Nicki Minaj. Bruno Mars took home the Top R&B Album award for 24K Magic and K-Dot notched a win in the Top Billboard 200 Album with DAMN.
