Just weeks after she revealed her aspirations to become a U.S. congresswoman, the actress has changed her mind. “After much prayer, introspection and discussions with my family, I am withdrawing my candidacy for California’s 44th Congressional District,” Stacey said in an email to CNN . The former Fox News commentator explained that she began her congressional bid with the best of intentions. “I started this run with the intention to address the pressing issues in the district where I live,” she added “I hoped, and remain hopeful, that I can assist people living here on the national level. My goal was, and remains, to improve the lives of people who have been forgotten for decades by the Democratic Party.” Stacy was running to represent an area of California that includes cities like Compton, Watts, San Pedro, and North Long Beach. These areas have always leaned democratic. They have a long history of voting in democratic in congressional elections (they’re currently represented by Nannette Barragán), and 83% of the population there voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. However, Stacey has been a very vocal conservative republican, so we can’t imagine who would have voted for the Clueless star in California’s 44th district. It’s not exactly her base. Stacey said that she’s choosing to lay down her campaign to focus on her family. Source: Saving Our Daughters / Radio One Atlanta On Wednesday March 14th, the girls of the Ron Clark Academy had an amazing, life changing experience as they walked onto the incredible set of the Fox television show STAR, co-created by Lee Daniels. The 5th-7th graders that participated in the special field trip are a part of the “Saving Our Daughter’s Cinderella” program, which was co-founded by actress and singer, Keke Palmer back in 2014. Ms. Palmer is also a guest star on the STAR TV series. The visit was coordinated by the producer’s assistant, Erica Young. In addition to setting up a tour of the stages and sets, she arranged for a Q&A with some of the women that play a part in the development of the show. Karen Gist (Show Runner), Jen Klein (Co-Producer/Writer), Toni Barton (Production Designer) and Aamina Gant (Music Coordinator) spoke to the RCA Cinderellas about what it is like to work on a television series, their professions and the life choices they made that led them to STAR. The Q&A was so informative and inspiring for the girls. “To see women working together, growing together and using their gifts and passions to create, build and maintain a hit show was amazing.” – Saving Our Daughters’ Co-Founder, Debbie Benjamin The girls had the pleasure of touring the entire set, meeting everyone from wardrobe, production design, construction and set decoration. They also got to watch the filming of a scene and learn about how food stylists prepare food for actors with allergies and restrictions. I saw how people that worked in some of those departments had to be quick on their feet and how they worked with such a short period of time especially when something has to change after all the time that was spent on a certain part of the project. There were so many different working parts. There are more than 200 staff members that work daily. It just shows how everyone plays a part in the production. I also found it really cool how we got to see little behind the scene secrets like moving walls. It was so cool. I am just so grateful that I got the opportunity to visit. Thank you! Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Fans were extremely excited once news broke that Donald Glover was set to expand his presence on his home network FX with an animated Deadpool series. Following that, seemingly out of nowhere, FX announced last week that the series was cancelled before it even started. A network rep said in a statement , “Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover, and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s Deadpool animated series.” Because of how many things the actor, producer, writer, and rapper has under his belt, the immediate speculation on why things didn’t work out was because Glover was probably to busy to take on yet another project. That wasn’t true, apparently, according to the source himself, who took to his Twitter page to let everyone know that his busy schedule has nothing to do with FX pulling the plug. He responded to everyone’s curiosity by sharing a script for a Deadpool episode titled “Finale.” The script revolves around Deadpool rescuing the last male white rhino and, from the references throughout, it seems like Glover wrote the 14 pages within the past few days. The script includes references to Sanaa Lathan (reportedly) biting Beyonce, Fortnite, and armed teachers. He also references in the script that fact that nobody will be watching this, but rather, reading it. He dropped the script it in a now-deleted Twitter thread, which you can read in its entirety here:

He continues, “It’s where fans can come and be immersed in the music, the culture, the energy and the history of classic Hip Hop. We’re gonna have great artists, legendary artists, lyricists, superstars, sex symbols. This is the place to be if you want uncut, raw, pure, classic Hip Hop, but there’s one catch, it’s strictly for OGs.” The 50-year-old held the launch of his radio station on Wednesday at a retro Los Angeles roller skating rink for a night out of celebration with friends and family.
