Woman Gets $10,000 Voucher From United Airlines For Giving Up Her Seat

View original post here:

Source: Education Images / Getty Woman Negotiates $10,000 Voucher From American Airlines A Washington D.C. woman was on her way to Texas  Thursday morning when airline staff starting asking passengers to volunteer their seats on the overbooked flight. Naturally no one did, so the airline told Allison Preiss  that she had to forfeit her seat, since she had paid the lowest fare. Preiss didn’t want to budge since she was en route to a friend’s bachelorette party. . @united offering $1K in travel credit for an oversold flight. If nobody bites, they will kick off the lowest fare passenger by pulling them out of the boarding line. For a flight that THEY oversold. Unreal. — Allison Preiss (@allisonmpreiss) March 22, 2018 The gate agents then offered a $2,000 voucher. Pushing her luck, Preiss said she’d prefer a check which they were about  to write (for $650), then another agent offered her a seat on the next flight out and a $10,000 voucher. The offer is in accordance with the American Airline’s new cap for passengers who offer up their seats.

Here’s A List Of Everything Wakanda Had Besides Guns

Killer Mike is under fire after he did an interview with NRA TV in the wake of the March For Our Lives protests against guns in schools. In his interview, Killer Mike says he threatened his children that if they walked out of class during #NationalWalkoutDay, they could walk out of his house. He also defended his right to bear arms by saying that in the fictional African country of Wakanda, everyone had guns.   “I told my kids on the school walkout, I love you, if you walkout that school, walkout my house…we are not a family that jumps on every single thing an ally of ours does because some stuff we just don’t agree with.” – @KillerMike #MarchForOurLives pic.twitter.com/Gx8JLntmZ8 — NRATV (@NRATV) March 24, 2018 Only one problem, there were literally NO guns in Wakanda. In fact,  Wakanda had a lot of things. They had rhinos, they had explosives, they had shields, but they did not have guns.   Wakanda had wigs, but no guns. Hey @KillerMike they don't use guns in Wakanda (it's so primitive).. They use this pic.twitter.com/lNpo0RVio5 — John Christopher (@jayceekessel) March 25, 2018   Hit the flip to see what other weapons Wakanda was working with (but no guns!)

King Tings: These NBA Stars Offered To Pay For Stephon Clark’s Funeral

Source: Mike Ehrmann / Getty Sadly, we lost another unarmed Black man at the hands of police this week. On Sunday, 22-year-old Stephon Clark was holding a cell phone in his grandmother’s backyard in Sacramento when officers mistook for a gun and fired 20 shots at the kid. Is it just us, or the whole “I thought he had a gun” excuse is getting redundant and implausible. We heard the same thing regarding the murders of Tamir Rice and Oscar Grant just to name a few. Wow…they shot him 20 times for standing his own backyard and talking on his phone…all bc they THOUGHT he had a gun…like this stuff hurts me. That’s could be me, or one of my brothers. Damn, RIP Stephon Clark. — bonito negrito (@King_GrOOvy1) March 22, 2018 Former Sacramento Kings star DeMarcus Cousins may be a Pelican now but a piece of him is still back in the Sac. According to reports, he reached out to the family of Stephon Clark to cover the cost of the funeral. Back in 2015, Cousins covered the funeral costs for a local high school football player, Jaulson “JJ” Clavo, who was gunned down. DeMarcus isn’t the only athlete looking to help the Clark family. Sacramento native Matt Barnes sent out his thoughts and prayers for the family, asking anyone who knew the family to send him a direct message.   Hundreds of people hit the streets this week to protest the senseless murder. No word yet on whether or not the cops involved will face any consequences. Although we’ve seen this whole story play out before, hopefully this time there’s an alternate ending. Protestors have shut down the freeway in Sacramento calling for justice for Stephon Clark, who was murdered after being shot at 20 times by police in his grandparents’ yard. Cops thought he had a gun. It was a cell phone. https://t.co/prxBlsYO1X — Scott Dworkin (@funder) March 23, 2018 RIP Stephon Clark.

RIP: This Woman Staged A Funeral For Her Youth On Her 30th Birthday

To mourn/celebrate years passed, Mila staged a mock funeral for her 30th birthday. She even sported black clothing and decorated her spot with black balloons. This person had a funeral for their 30th birthday to say goodbye to their youth shshshe this is the level of extra I wanna achieve pic.twitter.com/dfmktPHWUh — Sweater • 8 (@brianaackles) March 21, 2018 When Metro asked Mila what she’ll miss most about her 20s, she responded “just feeling young.”   Okay Mila. Don’t get it twisted, Mila isn’t all doom and gloom when it comes to entering her 30s. The mock funeral was done all in humor, and she said she’s still looking forward to “new adventures, traveling, taking care of my two little boys, and whatever else my life brings me.” When asked if she had any advice for people about to hit the big 3-0, Mila said, “Own it, and make the most of it, and don’t be afraid of still having fun regardless of your age.” Now that’s something we can get with.   Happy Birthday to all the 30s out there!
