While the NBA is no longer as dangerous as it was during the Bad Boy era it still doesn’t bode well for the lighthearted. Two top stars got into it on the court and now their beef has spilled into social media. As spotted on Hot New Hip Hop Joel Embiid and Karl Anthony Towns haven’t had the rosiest history since the two first played against each other. Things got a little heated on Wednesday, October 30 when they faced off at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. In the middle of the game both players got tangled up by the arms that led to a shoving match. Right after they took the floor for some tussling which resulted in headlocks and missed punches. According to Deadline , Kiari “Offset” Cephus will be leading a new series for the mobile video platform Quibi called Skrrt with Offset. He will talk with high-profile guests in pop culture about their rides and the personal stories behind them. Offset is a car aficionado as well, so it should make for some entertaining T.V. The show is the product of STXtelevision and Scott Weintrob , the creator of the Netflix hit show Fastest Car and the director of the Emmy award-winning Top Gear. “We are excited to be partnering with Quibi on our second new series for the platform,” explained Jason Goldberg, Chief Creative Officer of STX Entertainment’s New Media Group & Alternative Content. “The team is forward-thinking and genuinely looking for new programming that you won’t find anywhere else. As producers, we look forward to working with Offset and creating shows that will be fun, memorable and will feature rides that take insanity to the next level of superfandom in the world of the coolest cars.” Offset is also excited about the project, saying: “Quibi will give me a chance to connect with my fans in yet another way. During an interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106 in Los Angeles, N.O.R.E was asked about his thoughts on the newly released project, when the “Super Thug” rapper frankly labeled it “trash” before poking fun at Kanye for what he deemed as fumbling the Clipse reunion. “I love Kanye,” N.O.R.E said. “I wanna be clear, how the f*ck you got Clipse on a record that’s not good? Jesus is mad at this n*gga.” But the album wasn’t the only thing that rubbed N.O.R.E. the wrong way about Kanye’s latest release, the Queens Hip-Hop veteran also revealed that Kanye’s lack of Black outlets regarding the stops during his current press run to promote the album also made him a little upset. “I’ma be honest, I’m a hater. I’m kinda hater. Let me explain why,” N.O.R.E. continued. “Zane Lowe is a person that I respect but I don’t respect. As a person who made the War Report album, I’ve done records with Mariah Carey. When I see you ever go to any place other than us—the culture—I have a problem with that.” N.O.R.E may have an issue with Kanye’s press run stops, but Kanye himself has already let his Black fans know that their opinion really doesn’t matter. During his interview with Big Boy of the Big Boy’s Neighborhood , Kanye said he “doesn’t care” about Black Twitter’s opinion of him, only God’s, this before stating that he does care about white Twitter. ”I was having a conversation with Jay Brown and we were talking about everything and I remember I just went off and was like ‘I don’t care about your opinions. I don’t care about what Black Twitter or what anyone has to say, the only opinion I care about is God’s,” Kanye said. He added, “I am happy that [white Twitter] is a term, because I do care about it. I care about Jack Dorsey the owner and good friend of mine that comes over to my house for dinner, gives me business advice and looks over my contracts and respects me. Source: Andrew Chin / Getty Amazon’s foray into the music business is nothing new. With this latest announcement, it just shows how serious the tech giant is about making its mark in the industry. Amazon, who hosted an event like its concert for Prime Day, will now be holding its own Intersect festival in Las Vegas. The two-day event will be put on by Amazon’s subsidiary Amazon Web Services. It will be headlined by Dave Grohl’s Foo Fighters and Kacey Musgraves. Other names on the bill include Anderson .Paak, Brandi Carlile, Chvrches, H.E.R. and Leon Bridges. Musical performances will not be the only thing attendees can enjoy. There will be plenty of fun activities to partake in, which will including a massive ball pit, “post-apocalyptic dodgeball stadium,” and a video arcade. Food and cocktails will as well as art installations like the “Monolith,” which is a six-story high tower of video art. Women in tech will also be celebrated with a light show consisting of 500 drones which will be programmed and led by a female-lead team. The festival takes place on December 6 and 7 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. During a recent visit to The Howard Stern Show on Sirius XM, Snoop confirmed he has such an employee, with actor Seth Rogen excitedly co-signing the blunt roller’s talents. Apparently, Snoop pays the guy $40K to $50K a year for his talents, which includes knowing just went to come through with a spliff. “That motherf*cker is like Lurch from the Addams Family. ‘You rang?,’” laughed Snoop. Rogen, who said he’s seen the roller in action, added that “he knows how to gauge the look on someone’s face when it seems like they want a blunt and if they do, he gives you one.” Added Snoop, “That motherf*cker’s timing is impeccable. As if the salary isn’t enough, keep in mind the Professional Blunt Roller (PBR) has all his expenses paid while on the road and he’s getting free weed. Bruh!
