Source: Santiago Felipe / Getty After taking an extended two-month hiatus from her show, Wendy Williams finally revealed on Tuesday that since her leave of absence, she’s been recovering from addiction-related issues and is currently living in a sober house in Queens. “For some time now, and even today and beyond, I have been living in a sober house,” the host admitted as she shed a few tears on Tuesday’s episode of The Wendy Williams Show . “And you know, I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in my past and I never went to a place to get the treatment. I don’t know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.” Wendy went on to say that she wanted to be honest with her viewers because her fans know her to be a “very truthful and open person,” so she decided to make things public regarding her current situation and her experience with addiction. According to the host, the only person in her life who was aware of the extent of her addiction was her husband, Kevin Hunter . This is especially relevant considering all of the rumors surrounding some alleged infidelity in their marriage–but it looks like Wendy is sticking by her man and he’s sticking by her throughout this trying time in both of their lives. “There are people in your family, it might be you, who have been struggling, and I want you to know more of the story,” she continued. “So, this is my autobiographical story, and I’m living it. I’m telling you this.” Wendy Williams went on to explain her new routine, which consists of her going to pilates, attending sober meetings around town in the tristate area, and then getting picked up by her 24-hour sober coach who brings her back to the sober house she’s been living in “with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family.” And it’s lights out by 10pm. “I know, either you are calling me crazy or the bravest woman you know…I don’t care,” she divulged. Their schemes included falsifying SAT results for their kids and paying coaches “enormous sums” to accept students with limited to no athletic credentials. Lori Loughlin, who played Aunt Becky on Full House , is one of the parents busted in the case. She and her husband, designer Mossimo Giannulli allegedly paid $500,000 in bribes to boost their two daughters’ chances at attending the University of Southern California. According to documents, she even arranged one of her daughters to pose in a rowing machine in order to support the false claim that she was on the L.A. Marine Club team. Felicity Huffman of Desperate Housewives fame and fellow actor husband William H. Macy also allegedly poured some major coins into the hands of someone who could help their kid. They allegedly paid $15,000 — disguised as a tax-deductible charitable contribution — to a foundation operated by a man named William Singer. Singer in turn allegedly arranged for a specific proctor to ensure Huffman’s daughter did well on her SATs, according to CBS News . A confidential witness told investigators that he “controlled” an SAT testing site, and he could have a proctor “secretly correct her answers” after she took the test. The witness also said he could arrange for their daughter to have extra time on the test. Prosecutors said that this was typically carried out by claiming the student had a learning disability. Both Loughlin and Huffman were charged with conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. Twitter didn’t waste any time coming after both actresses last week , especially considering Loughlin’s wholesome image on shows like Full House. According to a lawsuit filed by the teenage girl and her mother, the “That’s So Raven” star is accused of sending her photos of his erect penis along with sexually explicit text messages. They’re asking for at least $1.5 million. It is easy to understand why Brazil’s largest city of 12 million people, was once known as a commercial city catering solely to business people: because that’s exactly what it was. No longer. Over the past few decades, São Paulo began to slowly reinvent itself, making it more livable for its citizens using its natural resources, and began subtly courting tourists with its global spin on São Paulo’s distinctly Brazilian culture. It worked. São Paulo transformed itself from a flyover city into a destination in its own right. Leisure tourism is up 50% over the past 5 years thanks to São Paulo’s urban renewal that touts medical tourism, Michelin starred restaurants, bustling nightlife, and world-class museums. If you only had time to visit Avenida Paulista (Paulista Avenue), you’d get a good representation of São Paulo all on one street. Visiting on a Sunday, the Avenue is closed to cars, so you can hop on a bike down São Paulo’s most famous thoroughfare. Otherwise, take a stroll town this storied street, which depending on the time of year, plays host to the Gay Pride Parade, and the Sylvester Road Race, and on any given day it’s not unusual to spot a political protest. This commercial corridor headquarters financial institutions, and features both street and retail shopping. Spend some time in the areas buttressing the Avenue, Parque Tenente Siqueira Campos (Trianon Park) that mimics a tranquil rainforest just off the Avenue on one side and MASP, South America’s most famous fine arts museum on the other. MASP is home to many famous European artworks, but also features a large collection of impressive Brazilian and Afro Brazilian pieces as well. Vila Madalena, arguably São Paulo’s chicest and coolest neighborhood is famous for its eclectic street art, graffiti and art galleries, but was once little village owned by Portuguese farmhands and accessible only on foot or by horse. If you abstain from meat like I do, there are plenty of vegetarian options created to mimic the pork dishes. The veggie options and the craft cocktails were quite good, making it easy to accompany your flesh eating friends to this restaurant, because this is a dining sensation for pork eaters that truly should not be missed. Source: Marvel / Disney Since Nick Fury pushed send on his retooled pager, Captain Marvel’s impressive solo debut and most recently, the new Avengers: Endgame trailer, fans have been speculating as to what exactly is going to happen in the epic conclusion. According to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, Captain Marvel’s presence in the April 26 film is not to do what we hope she would. All we want is to see Thanos get a well-deserved fade for snapping his fingers and turning our favorite heroes into blunt ashes and we assumed Captain Marvel would be the one to deliver it. But based on recent comments from Feige, her coming back to Earth is not to save the day but to usher in a new age of Marvel films or a changing of the guard so to speak, for she will be taking over as the leader of Avengers. Speaking with Empire Magazine , Feige confirmed that Endgame the conclusion to the newly dubbed Infinity Saga will focus on the core six Avengers we first introduced so many years ago. He basically reveals that defeating Thanos will come with a tragic cost, so this film aims to be a homage or goodbye to the original Avengers as we know it. We just don’t know whether it will be Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow, Thor or Hawkeye that will bite the dust. Hell, it could be all of them for all we know. “People would point out that that Cap wasn’t in Infinity War a whole lot. And Iron Man didn’t really speak for that last half hour because of what was going on. But those characters and all of the original six are very much the focus of Endgame in a very personal and emotional way.” Adding more fuel to the fire, Infinity War and Endgame co-writer Christopher Markus also revealed to Empire Magazine that the MCU will be changed following the upcoming Avengers film. He made sure to add the “deaths” we saw in the movie were real and as fans the quicker we accept it, the faster we can move on. “We are in different territory, possibly than anyone’s ever been in before in terms of a movie series. The MCU continues to exist. Who happens to be in it is fluid and evolving things where, because it’s all connected, you can’t reboot one. All the parts have to work together. Things continue, but like life, losses are real, and change is real.” Well, we will have no choice with seven films still in the pipeline including Spider-Man: Far From Home , a Black Panther sequel, a Black Widow solo film, Doctor Strange 2 , an Eternals film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 with James Gunn back in the director’s chair and finally Shang Chi which will be the first movie starring an Asian superhero. As spotted on HipHopDX , the Maybach Music MC dropped the official trailer to Free Meek during his recent concert at the Met. In a partnership with Amazon and Prime Video, the series will detail his long history of unjust interactions with the law stemming from when he was a teenager. According to the project summary, “ Free Meek is an upcoming documentary series that will follow Meek and his fight for exoneration while exposing flaws in the criminal justice system. The series will give viewers unprecedented access to the star’s life, career, and criminal justice odyssey while demonstrating the negative effects long tail probation is having on urban communities of color.” The preview features footage from various live performances spliced with court documents; a voiceover saying “I have never seen a case built on less” sets the tone for the clip. Meek also provides a testimonial regarding his experiences. “I never really looked at it as a nightmare, I looked at it as real life for a black kid in America. This is real life” he shared. I will never get out of shape — you know that, right? I will be 75 and say, ‘Here we go, I’m ready to go!’ I will never, ever get out of shape because that movie’s going to happen one day.” White Chicks was released in 2004 and Crews played the buff pro basketball star Latrell Spencer, who was in love with Marlon Wayans ’ alter ego, Tiffany in the original film. Marlon was asked about a sequel last year but, but didn’t seem certain it would happen anytime soon. “I don’t know, but there’s been some rumblings happening, and a lot of people want us to do it, so me and my brothers have been talking. Beginning on April 7, the LBC MC will be starring in and executive producing a new show on Cartoon Network’s [adult swim] block, Lazor Wulf . Judging by the title you’d be right to guess that the cartoon stars Staple as a wolf with a laser on his back, but what you might not have guessed is that the show will also feature the WWE’s Ettore “Big E” Ewen and DRAM as, well, we’re not too sure. The first trailer to the upcoming series doesn’t offer much info on what it’ll be about other than it’ll feature people, talking animals, and a moody God.
