Queen Latifah Stands By Jussie Smollett ‘Until Somebody Can Show Me Some Proof’

Source: Kevork Djansezian / Getty While many have turned their backs on Jussie Smollett after he was arrested for filing a false police report and was accused of lying about his racist and homophobic attack , one celebrity still has his back. Queen Latifah told Yahoo News Through Her Eyes on Tuesday that until there is concrete evidence proving he lied, she will continue to believe the Empire star. “Until somebody can show me some proof otherwise, I’m going with him. Cause the guy I’ve seen has always seen has always been someone who cares about people, who cares about others, and who’s very kind and who’s always been cool and sweet. And that’s just the guy I know,” the Oscar nominee stressed. “So until I can see some definitive proof — which I haven’t seen yet — then, you know, I gotta go with him until I see otherwise.” When talking about Jussie’s case and the pressure to stay grounded in Hollywood, she was clear, “I don’t even know what to make of it.” “All I know is that I hope everything works out in the end and everybody basically comes out unscathed.” As we previously reported , Jussie is engulfed in controversy after accusing two men of attacking him during a late night in Chicago. In January, the actor told police he was punched in the face, had bleach poured on him and he suffered a bruise on his face. He also accused the attackers of yelling, “this MAGA country n*gger” and putting a noose around his neck. However, last month Smollett was arrested and charged on a felony charge of disorderly conduct after CPD claimed he hired two acquaintances – brothers Olabinjo Osundairo and Abimbola Osundairo – to help him stage the assault. The actor and singer is currently out on $100,000 bond and is due back in court March 14 on a felony charge of disorderly conduct. In addition, he has also been suspended from Empire . Smollett continues to claim that he did not make up the attack. Source: Scott Olson / Getty The Black woman who paid R. Kelly’s $100,000 bond claims she received numerous bomb threats to her Chicago daycare center. According to CBS-Chicago reporter Brad Edwards, police confirm that they got multiple calls on Sunday from Valencia P. Love saying they had received a bomb threat. Apparently, everyone was evacuated from the South Side facility, however a local bomb squad did not find any explosives. Police are still investigating these threats. ONLY HERE: Saturday, multiple people called in a bomb threat to a daycare near W. 79th & Kedzie. The business is connected to the woman who posted R. Kelly’s $100k bond. This is the woman who bailed @rkelly out of jail. She owns @LoveOnTheBlu in Blue Island and Lord and Child Daycare in Chicago. Her name is Valencia Love. Love posted Kelly’s bail last week, telling Chicago reporter Tia Ewing , that she does not believe the singer, who she has only known for a few months, is not a monster. “He’s my friend and I knew he needed help,” she told Ewing. “There are three sides to every story, his side, there’s [the alleged victims], and the truth.” Love confirmed that she had paid the singer’s bond, but wouldn’t disclose where the money came from. “It wasn’t my money. I’m not going to say whose money it is.” As we previously reported , Kelly was released from jail last Monday after being arrested “and charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse involving four victims, three of whom were minors.” The allegations date back to 1998 and span more than a decade. Young Dolph Liberated Of $500K In Jewelry While Eating At Cracker Barrel

Rapper Young Dolph found himself short of nearly $500,000 in jewelry and luxury items that was taken from his SUV while he sat and ate in a Cracker Barrel. Yeah, you can’t make this up. WSBTV reports that Dolph was eating at a Cracker Barrel on Senoia Road in Fairburn, Georgia early Wednesday when he got gaffled, per the Fairburn police. Surveillance video showed the thieves essentially casing Dolph’s Mercedes Benz SUV a couple of times before breaking in and taking numerous, pricey items. Dolph told the cops that the following was taken: Diamond chain valued at approximately $27,000 Another chain valued at approximately $57,000 Richard Mille watch valued at approximately $230,000 Patek Philippe watch valued at approximately $85,000 Cartier sunglasses valued at $24,000 Cartier sunglasses valued at $700 Glock firearm Pirelli backpack valued at approximately $300 Apple Macbook valued at $3,000 Apple Ipad valued at $500 Apple Airpods valued at $200 Dolph also claimed that it would cost about $700 to fix the SUV’s broken window. Also worth noting, the cops may be thinking Dolph is pulling the jig. Assistant Police Chief Anthony Bazydlo was quoted as saying the incident is “unusual in a number of ways.” Bazydlo said investigators are puzzled by what happened after Young Dolph first got out of his truck. They say the taillights flashed off and on, and in the next couple of minutes, they flashed two more times.  “That’s interesting to us in terms of what was happening with the vehicle,” Bazydlo said. “Was it being locked? Unintentionally unlocked? We don’t know.” The plot thickens. Dame Dash Turning Himself In To Cops Over Child Support Warrants [Video]

The Roc-a-fella Records co-founder has warrants due to outstanding child support payments, but he swears he’s paid up. Reports TMZ : The rap mogul tells TMZ … he’ll surrender to authorities in NYC nearly 3 years after a family court judge first signed a warrant for his arrest. Damon’s accused of owing nearly $400k in support to Cindy Morales, mother of his son, Lucky — and to his ex-wife, Rachel Roy, with whom he has daughters Ava and Tallulah. Dame says the warrants are BS because he’s given both women more than enough dough — including $150k he gave Cindy for a home. He also claims Rachel draws her payments directly from his share of Rachel Roy Collection … the clothing company they co-own. Interestingly, news recently broke that Dash was attempting to re-purchase Roy’s clothing label . However, he’s also getting sued for a movie he produced by the author of the book the film is based on. As for the warrants, Dash explained the struggle to TMZ, and claims he has the receipts that prove he pad. Sara Molina, the mother of Tekashi’s child, called the rapper a culture vulture among other things in a new interview. Complex writes : “He could definitely reinvent himself, I’ve seen him do it a million times,” she says during the interview. “He’s like a culture vulture, he can adapt to anything.” During the newly released clip, she explained that 6ix9ine hadn’t been manipulated into acting the way he did and that he was merely manipulating those around him. “I feel like in a way these grown men were manipulated by this little rainbow haired kid,” she said. “Money and fame will make people do a lot of things,” she continued. “I was manipulated… He’s a narcissist, I’m telling you that now. He’s very smart, I give him that. If I can give Danny [6ix9ine] credit for anything… His brain works in an evil way but it’s smart.” Following his admission to involvement in three different violent incidents in 2018, the rapper is currently facing a 47-year minimum sentence on racketeering, weapons, and drug charges. ‘The Voice’ Singer Janice Freeman Dead At 33

Freeman, who competed on season 13 of NBC’s  The Voice  in 2017 was on  Miley Cyrus ‘ team and reached the top 11 on the singing competition. Freeman passed away due to combined complications of lupus and bronchial infection. Freeman is survived by her husband Dion, her 12-year-old daughter, her mother, brothers, sisters and countless others. Her cousin,  Johanna confirmed her death on Instagram . “On Saturday afternoon, Janice began complaining that she couldn’t breath properly and, in a matter of minutes, required CPR from her husband,” her rep said. “He called 911, continuing to do CPR until paramedics arrived. While Janice arrived at the hospital alive, continued efforts could not save her. Doctors believe a blood clot had formed in her lungs, which led to her quick demise. Janice Freeman died at 5:30 p.m. PST.” Janice Freeman beat cervical cancer and lived with both lupus and Sjogren’s syndrome. She also survived meningococcal meningitis as a teen as well as kidney failure. “She struggled every single day,” her husband said in a statement. “She was constantly in pain—literally, for years—but was sure she would conquer it all. We all got our name from a woman and our game from a woman. But for some reason, we wait for commemorated days like Mother’s Day to honor the special ladies in our lives.  Women’s History Month is one of those observed months when we’re supposed to acknowledge all the ways women are great.  Women have always been strong and capable of any and everything — but we weren’t always allowed to show and prove it.
