The Latino in consideration is no other than (D-NY 13th District) Rep. Adriano Espaillat, who last November became the first Dominican-American elected to Congress. While he has not been formally asked to join the 47-year-old organization, he tells Politico writer Heather Caygle that he is currently in discussion with CBC leaders about the “pros and cons” of his potential membership. According to Caygle, more than a dozen CBC members and their aides were interviewed for the piece although very few of the CBC current leadership wanted to go on record, citing the “sensitivity” of the issue. [ madamenoire ] Drake Is A Week Away From Finishing More Life Playlist Drake says that he about a week away from completing his much-anticipated More Life playlist/album that is set to drop on Apple Music. Drake made the announcement at the Leeds, England stop in his Boy Meets World tour. “I’m excited because I’m about like a week and a half, two weeks away from finishing this project I’m working on called More Life,” he says in a fan captured video. “So you know what that means right? All that means is, I get to drop a new project, and at some point I get to come back and be with my people in Leeds one more motherf*cking time.” The playlist was originally set to drop last December, then it was pushed back to “early 2017.” Drake did not explicitly state when More Life would drop, but he did hint at a show in Amsterdam that it would be out by Feb. 28. Now that we’ve had a day to let the news soak in that George and Amal Clooney are expecting twins , the celebrities are in full force with their reactions to the baby news. Clooney’s long-time friend, Matt Damon actually found out about the pregnancy long before it hit the media and he almost cried tears of joy. “I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him,” the star told Entertainment Tonight Canada. “And I was like, ‘How far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘Eight weeks.’” However, Damon was quick to confirm to Clooney that he was a superstitious person. “‘Are you out of your mind?! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t you know the 12-week rule?’ Like of course he doesn’t.” He continued, “‘Just shut up, man.’ And then four weeks later, I’m like, ‘We’re good right?’” Clooney answered, “We’re good.” Clooney revealing the news to Matt so quickly showed just how happy he was to be welcoming twins into the world. Despite Matt worrying about superstition, he was quick to point out that he was super happy for his friend. “So yeah, I’m thrilled for him. She’s amazing. He hit the jackpot. Just on every level. She is a remarkable woman.” “They’re gonna be great. They’re gonna be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky,” he added. George and Amal tied the knot in September 2014 in Venice, Italy. The couple already had a dog together and are said to be ecstatic about the news of them welcoming twins into the world. There are two kinds of celebrity breakups: The one percent that falls into the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie category and makes grown men and women weep as though their own parents split up … … and the other 99% where you’re like, were you’re all like, “Oh yeah, I forgot they were a thing.” We think it’s safe to say Chris Evans and Jenny Slate fall firmly in the latter category. In fairness, some folks seem mildly upset on social media, but they’re vastly outnumbered by the “OMFG Captain America is single!!!” crowd. Anyway, Evans and Slate started dating back in May of last year. Despite some early controversy (Many believed that Slate cheated on her husband with Evans . It now appears that they separated before she met the actor.) the couple moved quickly and seemed to get serious in a hurry. In fact, at one point, it was rumored that Slate was pregnant with Evans’ baby . That turned out not to be the case, and now it looks like the couple has called it quits. Sources say the split was amicable and there was no single cause. In a statement, the actors blamed the usual mix of busy schedules and too much work-related travel. Both stars remained pretty tight-lipped about their relationship while they were together, but Slate occasionally let her guard down and gushed about. “It’s kind of like I got my dream 7th grade boyfriend,” she told Entertainment Tonight at a premiere event. “We didn’t know each other growing up, but we grew up about a half hour away from each other. We’ve been friends for a while.” At Sundance just last month, Slate was asked about her relationship with Evans by Us Weekly. “He’s such an amazing guy really in every way,” she replied. Celebrity couples frequently claim they parted on good terms, but this time we’re actually inclined to believe it. Evans and Slate both have reputations for being pretty chill, and it never really felt like they were super serious. A source for the couple says they “remain very close friends.” Well, that’s good.
