Source: Shun Atkins / Radio One The unfortunate custody battle over NIpsye Hussle’s daughter Emani is still going and now his daughter’s mother is saying she’s not unfit but her lifestyle has drastically changed since Nipsey’s death. via: TMZ Tanisha Foster says in legal docs, obtained by TMZ, she and Nipsey shared responsibility for parenting 10-year-old Emani . She seems to be rebutting the family’s contention she’s not capable of caring for the child, saying they are ignoring the fact Nipsey provided for her … setting her up in an apartment and providing for her livelihood. She’s insinuating she’s been cut off and that’s not what Nipsey would want. She also says, she’s not the only person involved in the case with a “problem past,” but she says she’s choosing not to “sling mud.” She says she can’t pay rent, she’s been cut off financially and is in desperate shape. Foster notes the lifestyle she and Emani were used to before Nipsey’s death won’t be the same … but she is willing to make it work to the best of her ability. She’s asking the judge to at least give her visitation rights. Foster says, “If everyone was truly interested in doing what is best for Emani, they would treat me as her mother and not in the manner that they have. Nipsey’s family was awarded temporary custody of Emani, claiming Tanisha is an unfit mother .
Source: Rob Loud / Getty We figured Diddy was up to something. Today (July 15), Sean “Diddy” Combs” and MTV announced that OG reality series Making The Band will be returning in 2020. Last week, Diddy had the Internets on fire when he asked his followers if they were into the idea of the reality competition series’ return. Along with nostalgia for seeing aspiring artists walk all the way to Brooklyn for some cheesecake (the original premiered back in 2002), the overwhelming response was basically, Hell yes. Diddy made the announcement via Instagram, obviously, and even began by bigging up Seth Rogen and Wale for sparking the idea. “I know that I’m going to build the biggest bands in the world,” said Diddy while reminiscing about the fun times he had with the show that launched acts including Danity Kane, Day26, Da Band and Donnie Klang. But this time he’s doing a global talent search. The Internets makes that easier. “I’ve made my decision… #MakingTheBand is coming back!!! This will be a global talent search, upload your auditions now using #MTBcasting!!,” reads the caption of Diddy’s video announcement. “We couldn’t be happier to welcome back the incomparable Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs to his rightful home at MTV,” said Nina L. Diaz, MTV’s President of Entertainment, via a press statement.. “‘Making the Band’ was ahead of its time and the ultimate disruptor – fans everywhere have been clamoring for a return and they are in for the biggest, most iconic season yet.” As for some details, submissions will be accepted across all social platforms including Instagram, YouTube and Twitter, by uploading a video submission using #MTBCasting . There will be more casting opportunities announced in the weeks ahead. The music performance app Smule will also be used to help launch the “Making the Band” campaign. Source: Paras Griffin / Getty Former “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” Star Blasts Former Lover Stevie J For Mom-Shaming Her Reality star Joseline Hernandez has blasted her former lover and co-star Stevie J’s bid to wrest custody of their little girl from her and force her to pay him child support. The former “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star has hit back at Stevie in her own countersuit against her one time co-star, that says she’s a great mom and if anything, her child support from him should be increased. We exclusively revealed that Stevie sued Joseline for primary custody , arguing that she was purposely cutting him out of their girl’s life. He accused Joseline of being financially and mentally unstable and said his home with hew wife Faith Evans would be more loving and safe for Bonnie Bella. But in court documents filed last week and obtained by BOSSIP, Joseline said Stevie should be paying more child support instead of trying to “take the child from the only home the child has known.” Joseline said she’s complied with the terms of their current custody order and has never kept their daughter Bonnie Bella away from Stevie. And she denied moving to Miami to shack up with another guy. Joseline called out her baby daddy for mom shaming her and called his suit a “frivolous action to try to take the child from the only home the child has known,” according to her court papers. Although the mom of one admitted that her income had gone way down since she left “Love & Hip Hop,” she says that it’s a pipe dream to believe that Stevie would be a better parent to Bonnie. She said if he’s so worried about Joseline not being able to provide for the girl, the judge should force him to start paying 20 percent of his income to her. She said Stevie’s claim that having more money would allow him to give Bonnie a better life was “an insult to every single mother in the country,” her court papers state. The mom of one wants a judge to deny Stevie J’s custody and child support claim and award her additional child support. Stevie J had not responded to Joseline’s allegations as of July 15. Both sides are set to appear in court over the matter next week.
Scoot on over, Jed! And make some room for your pal Peter… it looks like he will be joining you in the hot seat this week. WARNING: The Bachelorette spoilers await. Big ones. It pains me to say, but as fans prepare for tonight’s fantasy suites episode on The Bachelorette , new allegations have emerged about frontrunner Peter Weber. *sobs* Pilot Pete, who has successfully made it to the final four on Hannah Brown’s season, is being accused of breaking up with his girlfriend to go on the hit reality show . Sound familiar? Jed Wyatt has been accused of the same douchey crime , but with Peter… well, we just really didn’t see this coming. The sweet, loveable contestant was called out after his alleged ex-girlfriend, model Calee Lutes, had an interview with Entertainment Tonight where she spoke out about their relationship. And apparently, he ended things right before going on the dating series. According to Lutes, she and Peter met through a dating app in June 2018, while the Delta pilot was in town training for work. “We hit it off and decided to continue dating long distance after his month was up,” Lutes told ET . “It was great, we were crazy about each other.” “Even though we lived on opposite sides of the country, we saw each other often — every week/every other week,” she explained of their relationship. “It was as easy as a long-distance relationship could be.” Lutes also admitted that she and Pete went to Switzerland together in November. Mind you, this was about four months before the show began filming… and Peter is a pilot (!!!) so the fact that they traveled together isn’t at all shocking. Their relationship was “very serious,” according to Calee, and the two even discussed living together. But two days before Christmas, Weber ended their relationship during a FaceTime call. “He didn’t really have a reason why. I was devastated and completely blindsided,” Lutes recalls. “I didn’t understand why it was so urgent to end things so suddenly.” “I thought there was another girl, so I looked at his recent followers on Instagram, and noticed that a Bachelorette producer had recently followed him,” she said. “I didn’t think much of it at the time, but I knew there was something he wasn’t telling me.” Since their breakup, Peter has deleted any trace of their history off of his Instagram account. But the two still kept in touch. “We still kept in touch after the breakup, and we were trying to see each other again, up until early March, shortly before he left for filming,” Lutes says. “When I found out about the show, I texted him and told him that he owed me an explanation, but I never heard a word back.” “He absolutely betrayed me,” Lute says. “He interviewed for a reality dating show while simultaneously planning a future with me.” View Slideshow: Hannah Brown Banged in a Windmill and Twitter Lost Its Mind Following Wyatt’s allegations, who was also accused of cheating on his ex Haley Stevens, he finally spoke out saying the cheating claims were affecting his “mental health.” And while fan favorite Pilot Pete has yet to address the claims, we can’t help but feel for Hannah right now. Who knows how this show is going to end – cue Bachelorette spoilers ! – but one thing we’re pretty sure of is that they will be getting a new casting team for next season… jeesh! Source: Prince Williams / Getty Is Tahiry Jose Shooting Her Shot At Ex Joe Budden? Joe Budden has been through his fair share of relationship woes throughout his time in the entertainment industry–but it finally seemed like he found his match after settling down with fellow Love & Hip Hop star Cyn Santana . After going half on a baby and proposing at a live episode of his podcast back in December, the two ended up breaking things off only a few months later for reasons that haven’t yet been explained. In the months since the mysterious break-up, Budden has seemed mostly in good spirits while sprinkling in some jokes about his sad boy summer. All the while, it looks like he’s got another prospect waiting for him in the wing. On Saturday, Budden posted a series of pictures on his Instagram stories: the first being G Herbo and Ari booed up in the pool with the caption, “summer in my mind,” followed by a lonely-looking flick of Joe by himself that reads, “summer in real life.” The Shade Room, doing what The Shade Room does, went on to post the screenshots from his story onto their page–and that’s when the comment section got interesting. View this post on Instagram Oop!! What time is it #Tahiry?! SWIPE to remember the time #JoeBudden A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom) on Jul 13, 2019 at 7:40pm PDT Tahiry Jose , another fellow Love & Hip Hop star and former flame of the retired New Jersey rapper, commented on the screenshots saying, “Joe know what time it is! Lmao.” *Cue fans going wild in the comment section* What time Tahiry is actually referring to is still unclear, but either way, we see her checking up on her old, newly single boo thang. Unfortunately for Ms. Jose, though, it looks like Joe isn’t picking up whatever she’s putting down. When one fan tweeted the podcast host urging him, “please don’t go backwards” to his former relationship, he replied, “forward motion.” Forward motion…. — Joe Budden (@JoeBudden) July 14, 2019 And there you have it. Even though many Love & Hip Hop fans constantly claim that Tahiry will always be the one for Joe, the man himself has a different story.
Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa At Harlem’s “Field Trip” Rice Is The Star Of The Show Harlem’s celebrity chef JJ Johnson has opened a new eatery uptown where the rice takes the center stage. The humble grain is elevated at “Field Trip,” which showcases how rice has been overlooked, yet remained a staple in countries in the African Diaspora for thousands of years. Field Trip officially opened for business on July 10, hawking rice bowls that incorporate flavors from places like China, India, South East Asia, the Americas and West Africa. “Noodle bars have been getting love – why not rice?” Chef Johnson said. “We’re just trying to bring some more respect back to it. I don’t think it’s unfamiliar because we all eat it, but for it to be the center of the show, we haven’t seen that.” Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa The restaurant serves rice bowls topped with ingredients like braised beef, spicy black beans and turmeric yogurt or salmon, pineapple and edamame topped with Piri Piri sauce. The bowls range in price from $8.99 to $11.99 and there’s a half-price option for kids. Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa The mains are paired with inventive sides like crab pockets (fried dumplings filled with crab and garlic herb cream cheese) and there’s a dairy-free rice milk hibiscus raspberry ice cream for dessert. Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa Field Trip is housed in a historic building on Lenox Avenue, and its exposed brick and a stripped back aesthetic gives the place an almost industrial feel. And it’s playlist features only Harlem-born artists. Chef Johnson said that he grew up eating rice, and got the idea for his restaurant after traveling the world as a young chef and seeing how other cultures incorporated the grain into their dishes. He said his rice varieties are freshly milled heirlooms that aren’t bleached or enriched. Source: Bea De Costa / Bea De Costa The rice-forward concept went over well with customer Marita Monroe, who lives a block away, gave “Field Trip” two thumbs up. “Finally, the community has a place to feel welcome,” Monroe said. “It’s not intimidating. And the pricing is great.” “Field Trip” is located at 109 Lenox Ave. in New York City.
