Chris Brown Accuser’s Attorney Alleges Multiple Rapes

Earlier this week, Chris Brown was arrested for rape in Paris. While no reasonable person actually thinks that Chris Brown might be a good person … but some wonder what exactly happened. The victim’s attorney is now explaining what went down on the night of the alleged sexual assault. Franck Serfati is the attorney representing the woman who accuses Chris Brown of rape. On Thursday, he spoke to the Associated Press about some specifics of his client’s accusations. Serfati says that his client was raped four times by three men, one of whom was Chris Brown, at a drug-fueled party. He also alleges that his client was forced to take cocaine during the incident. “My client explains that it was non-consensual sex,” Serfati states. Serfati clarifies that the alleged victim was under “great psychological pressure” during the assault. He has clarified that the 23-year-old student “was not pressured physically,” but psychologically intimidated. According to Serfati, Chris Brown “cornered her in a room that was locked.” “There were forced sexual relations,” the chilling statement continues. “And then,” Serfati relays. “He went to talk to other men – it was a masculine environment.” He mentiones the environment because he says that it was how his client was intimidated. The young woman “was only with men, older men,” who dwarfed her in size and muscle, Serfati says. She says that the other two men, a bodyguard and an associate of Brown, assaulted her on another level of a hotel. Police in Paris were reportedly dubious at the accuser’s story. A sticking point for them was that the unnamed woman was in different rooms, and did not try to run away while in transit. (Some publications have seemed to harp on this to a curious extent, for reasons unknown) In real life, it is unfortunately not unheard of for people who have just been sexually assaulted to then be assaulted by someone else. For a famous example, look at actress Phoebe Tonkin’s tweets from October 2017. She shared her #MeToo story of being assaulted, of being left without a phone by the side of the road, and then being assaulted again by her “rescuers.” Sexual predators tend to be opportunists. Chris Brown has been known for about a decade now as one of the worst people in the entertainment industry. In case there was any doubt, he is suing the alleged victim for defamation of character. This serves several purposes, including discouraging other potential accusers from coming forward. What’s worse is that Chris Brown is selling “this bitch lyin'” merchandise . Again, he is just … awful on so many levels. And yet, inexplicably, he still has fans. Sexual assault cases are notoriously difficult to prove. This is not a coincidence in court systems that were designed both by and for men. Drawing reasonable conclusions is something that people do every day, but it is not the same thing as proving something beyond a reasonable doubt. We would be shocked — in a good way — if Brown were to actually face legal consequences. French authorities have already said that he is free to leave France during the investigation, and he appears to be carefree. He has gotten away with a great deal over the years. Perhaps he feels that he is untouchable. View Slideshow: 21 Celebrities Accused of Domestic Violence

Another One: BlocBoy JB Sues ‘Fortnite’ For Allegedly Snatching His “Shoot” Dance

Source: Scott Dudelson / Getty He Joins A Long List Of Artist Coming For The Video Game Rappers and viral move-makers alike are continuing their campaign against Fortnite and this time BlocBoy JB is joining the fray. According to TMZ , the Tennessee spitter has filed a lawsuit against Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite , saying they stole his “Shoot” dance. The popular leg and hand-chopping move was featured in BlocBoy’s music video for “Shoot,” and Drake made it even more popular when he performed it at parties and in his “Look Alive” music video with BlocBoy. Fortnite has an identical dance that players can acquire called the “Hype” dance. BlocBoy is calling BS, saying Fortnite didn’t get permission to use a dance he created in their video game. Granted, BlocBoy never copyrighted the dance when Fortnite used it, but he says he’s in the process of getting that done. He’s being repped by Sandy Lal and David L. Hecht , who’s repping other artists and dancers accusing Fortnite of theft , including Alfonso Ribeiro . Ribeiro, who’s forever treasured as Carlton from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,  filed his lawsuit against Fortnite back in December 2018. He accuses the game of stealing his “Carlton dance” for use in the game. Backpack Kid , who’s behind “The Floss” dance, and 2 Milly , who ushered in the Milly Rock, are also coming for Fortnite ‘s coins. Smh, they better stop playing with these dancers.

Kevin Barnett, Comedian and Rel Co-Creator, Dies at 32

Kevin Barnett, a highly successful stand-up comedian who recently helped create the sitcom Rel, was found dead during a vacation last week in Mexico. He was 32 years old. The cause of Barnett’s death remains unknown at this time, but the tragic piece of news was confirmed via a Tweet from the official account of the Last Podcast Network, on which Barnett co-hosted the weekly series Roundtable of Gentlemen. “Dear Last Podcast family,” opens this sad message, which expounds with the awful details as follows: It’s with a heavy heart we inform you of the passing of Kevin Barnett. The joy he brought to our lives is the greatest gift we have ever received. Remind your friends you love them because you never know when you’ll see them again. We love you KB. We’ll share more details about what happened as they come in. Over the weekend, however, Barnett shared his last-ever social media post: a photo of himself on a sidewalk in Mexico, along with a caption that read: “In mexico. Bought myself a sweater. Been accused of appropriation several times. In my head I just gave a lady some money so I ain’t cold. Either way. Swag heavy. Mixtape comin.” Barnett wrote and contributed to a multitute of television shows and films, including Broad City, The Carmichael Show and The Heartbreak Kid. The sitcom Rel, which he co-created, premiered just a few months ago in September; it stars Get Out actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery and Sinbad. Barnett also had a few movies in the works as well, including one called The Wrong Missy with David Spade. “Our hearts are broken, as are those of everyone at Rel, at the news of Kevin Barnett’s passing. He was an incredibly funny, wildly talented man who had so much more to do and so many more stories to tell,” a rep for Twentieth Century Fox Television and Fox Entertainment said in a statement. It concluded: “We send our thoughts and prayers to his friends and family during this difficult time.” Comedy Central also paid tribute to Barnett after the awful news broke, writing: “Kevin Barnett was an incredible comedian and writer, contributing to Broad City, the stand-up community and beyond. He’ll be greatly missed.” Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Chelsea Peretti, meanwhile, Tweeted, “i am so sad.” And Crashing‘s Jamie A. Lee added on Instagram: “A shocking, horrible loss. Kevin Barnett was a brilliant comedian and a great guy. RIP @fatboybarnett. This is so awful.” “I’m at a loss for words hearing about Kevin Barnett… We went to college together and both moved out to LA to pursue the dream,” actor and comedian King Bach wrote on Twitter, concluding: “Rest in paradise brother.” Then there was The Simpsons and Parks and Recreation producer Mike Scully, who worked on The Carmichael Show and said of Barnett: “Kevin Barnett was a great standup, but I knew him as a smart, funny, talented TV writer and just a really sweet guy who made the insanity of the late nights more fun. “Condolences to his family and friends. Can’t believe I’m writing this.” We concur. This is what Pete Davidson wrote of the tragedy: “The world lost a great one today. One of our comedy family members Kevin Barnett has tragically passed. I love Kevin. I’ve known him for nearly 10 years and he’s always been the sweetest and funniest. “Always had a smile on his face. Was one of the few that treated me like a comic even when I was just 16 years old. He always made me feel part of the group.” May Kevin Barnett rest in peace.
