Back home on the west coast, Reese Witherspoon was spotted out combing the racks at a local boutique in Brentwood on Wednesday (July 1). The “Legally Blonde” beauty rocked out to her iPod as she checked out the selections, leaving with multiple bags of goodies that caught her eye. The retail romp back home comes after Miss Witherspoon spent a bit of time in Washington DC to film “How Do You Know?”

Purported father in Edwards scandal changes story (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)

A man who was one of former Sen. John Edwards’ closest aides has a deal to write a book claiming that Edwards promised him to “take care of you for life” in return for falsely claiming he was the father of the baby carried by Edwards’ mistress, Rielle Hunter.
