ASCAP recently honored both of them along with Motown Records Senior Vice President of Marketing and Artist Development Phillana Williams at Tenjune in New York City. The 3rd Annual “Women Behind The Music Series” presented by ASCAP’s Rhythm & Soul team was just one of several events intended to empower women. In addition, ASCAP recognized some of those who have made exceptional contributions to the music industry. Roc Nation rising star Bridget Kelly performed at the event, and Ne-Yo was in the building.
