Jill Scott fans can rejoice. Not only are you getting two new songs from Jilly from Philly today, but you’re also getting two new albums this year! Jill will release her debut album for her new label, Warner Bros, The Light Of The Sun , in early summer. Her former record label, Hidden Beach, is also planning on releasing a compilation of previously unreleased material called Just Before Dawn . Sounds like Hidden Beach is a bit salty that Jill jumped ship to us… Anyway… back to the two new songs… “Lovely Day” comes from the Hidden Beach release and is a cover of the classic Bill Withers tune. “Shame” (featuring Eve ) comes from Jill’s real new album The Light Of The Sun .
