This just in: Justin Timberlake is a beloved Saturday Night Live host. The superstar – who hosted the sketch show last night and performed as its musical guest – carried SNL to its biggest ratings since Charles Barkley emceed in January 2012. And for good reason. Timberlake joined the exclusive five-time hosting club at the outset of the evening, which included a bit about Hugo Chavez dying and featured such A-listers as Steve Martin, Tom Hanks and Chevy Chase. He then starred in an ad for Moet & Chandon, donned a giant tofu costume and, best of all, did NOT appear in a Californians skit. Did you tune in? What did you think of JT as host?   He’s the best! Justin Bieber Collapse: Explained by Manager

As previously reported, Justin Bieber collapsed on stage tonight during a concert in London. The incident took place with four songs remaining in the singer’s set, as the artist was pulled backstage and attended to by emergency personally for about 10 minutes while the crowd looked on anxiously. During that time, Bieber’s friend/manager, Scotter Braun, came out and explained the situation to fans. Here’s a look at how he described what went down: Justin Bieber Collapse: Explained Bieber then returned to finish the show, received a giant ovation and was taken to the hospital as soon as it was over. We hear he’s resting comfortably and all should be okay, but this was a scary moment for all involved. Doctors will continue to evaluate him into the evening.

Mindy McCready Dead of Apparent Suicide

Troubled country singer Mindy McCready was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on Sunday afternoon. The police were called to her Arkansas home and found McCready’s, 37, body on the front porch. Dateline NBC correspondent Andrea Canning tweeted, “Just got a call from Mindy McCready’s best friend that she shot and killed herself this evening. My heart breaks for her two boys. RIP.” Despite a popular music career in the 90s, lately McCready has been making headlines after her record producer boyfriend David Wilson also died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound last month. McCready entered rehab after Wilson’s death and has three previous suicide attempts. Wilson and McCready had a son Zayne together and McCready has son Zander from a previous relationship. A source has told TMZ that McCready shot her dog as well.  At this time McCready’s family has yet to release an official statement. Our prayers are with her loved ones.

The X Factor Results: Fowl Play?

We are down to eight contestants on The X Factor . The Fox competition scoffed in the face of family and football tonight, airing a results show that ended with two more acts being cut and the team of Britney Spears suffering mightily as a result. First up immediately? Arin Ray got the axe as the contestant with the lowest number of overall votes. “I think you should just take this as a learning experience,” Britney coldly told her charge after the announcement. CeCe Frey – “Because of You” Beatrice Miller – “White Flag” From there, following a performance by Cher Lloyd, the identity of the bottom two was revealed. Beatice Miller and CeCe Frey . The former went with Dido and the latter Kelly Clarkson (above) for their respective survival songs, as only Spears sided with Miller, making Beatrice Miller the second singer eliminated on the evening . So we’re down to eight, with Carly Rose Sonenclar the new overall votes leader. Do you agree with that result? And are the proper eight moving on?   Yes, well done, judges!
