According to a recent police report, June Shannon was threatened by boyfriend Geno Doak in a gas station parking lot. The situation escalted to such an extent that cops were called to the scene and both Shannon and Doak were arrested . For possession of crack cocaine! It was pretty serious business. But Shannon doesn’t really think this is the case. And she’s now gone on record about Doak, what he means to her and why she thinks a judge was wrong for telling Geno to stay away from June after the couple was taken into custody. This judge made this decree because Doak allegedly threatened Shannon’s life — although both parties subsequently ignored the order when they hit up an Alabama casino just hours after it was handed down (as documented below). Still, legally, Doak is barred from spending time with Shannon at the moment. This is something the From Not to Hot star is trying to change. She explains that Doak helps her get through everyday and that he’s very loving toward her children and that the two are dedicated to mending their relationship. Shannon wants the court to know she does not fear for her safety around Doak… she is not concerned about what Geno could do to her… and she’s asking the court to lift the protective order saying he must stay away from her. She’d also really like the domestic violence charge against Geno dismissed as well. Shannon and Doak were arrested back on March 15. After someone called the police due to the loud argument in which they were engaged, June told these authorities that the drugs they found inside the vehicle belonged to her. As did the $1,300 in cash they found in her bra. Per various news outlets, Shannon was apprehended on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Doak, meanwhile, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia and domestic violence. It was the latest in a string of arrests for both Doak and also for June’s boyfriends overall. She has very questionable taste in men. Sources tell TMZ that those close to Shannon think Doak is a terrible influence, but she writes in her new court documents that this simply isn’t true. Shannon says the situation at the gas station “got heated and out of hand, but never was I in fear for my safety or did I want the police involved.” She adds she’s lived with Geno for three years and they’re “working on our relationship to make us stronger as a couple.” They’re also talking marriage and co-starring on From Not to Hot, althought the future of that series is now a mystery. “We share our viewers’ concerns for June Shannon and her entire family. We are monitoring events as they occur and are focused, as always, on the entire family’s well-being,” said WEtv in a statement after June’s arrest. She probably doesn’t deserve to make lots of money by anchoring a television show, that much seems certain at this point. June Shannon needs to make better life choices.

The rapper stopped by Camp Jewel House Academy with Georgia Congressman Hank Johnson to teach the stem school’s fourth graders a thing or two. Savage campaigned against gun violence and versed the kids in music industry career opportunities. He also emphasized the importance in knowing how to manage your funds, as well as pledged $100 to each student who came through and opened a bank account. “For most kids, the focus is on earning money—and while that is important, to really get ahead you need to know how to manage your money, not just make it,” 21 said of his campaign, according to Complex . “Last year, I had the privilege of participating in one of 21 Savage’s philanthropic enterprises,” Congressman Johnson added, according to the site. “His events draw thousands of young people eager to hear his message. Different members of the Roloff family remain divided over this and that, but everyone loves baby Jackson . Tori Roloff has posted an update, revealing that filming has wrapped — and reminding fans of the season premiere date (so soon!). She also shared some of the most unbearably adorable pictures of Jackson. See for yourself! Tori Roloff shared a series of wholesome family photos on Instagram. Posing alongside husband Zach Roloff and their precious baby, Jackson, she shared some happy news with fans. “That’s a wrap on season [14]!” Tori announces. “This is our last week of filming for the upcoming season,” she shares. In case any fans had forgotten, Tori notes that she’s referring to the season “that premieres APRIL 2ND!” That is in about one week. “Can’t wait to share all our hard work,” Tori expresses to her fans. Some may scoff, but filming nonstop for a reality series is a tremendous amount of work. “And,” Tori says, she cannot wait to “catch you up on the last year!” As reality stars, they’re active on social media, but they also withhold some major life events until they air on television. “Also,” Tori concludes. “Jackson: thinkin’ he’s a professional cameraman and all.” First of all, Jackson doesn’t think he’s a professional cameraman. As far as we are concerned, Jackson is an award-winning camera operator of unparalleled skill. Just look at him. In Season 14, part of the focus will be on Tori and Zach as they adjust to being first-time parents. They are, after all, raising a one-year-old. That’s no easy feat. (Jackson will turn two this May, if you can believe it!) Additionally, the season will address the financial burdens incurred by bringing a child into the world. That is a major obstacle that prevents many of Tori and Zach’s fellow Millennials from having children at all. Of course, Season 14 won’t only be about Jackson and his loving parents. As usual, we’ll be seeing a lot of the OG Roloffs — Matt and Amy. They’ve been divorced for years, but their lives continue to drift further and further apart. Matt is with Caryn Chandler. Amy is with Chris Marek. This season more than ever, the future of Roloff Farms hangs in the balance as Matt offers Amy a buyout. Amy herself said that she knows that if she sells her stake in Roloff Farms to Matt, odds are good that she’ll never again set foot on the property. But fans and viewers cannot wait to see more of Jackson on Season 14. This adorable baby has captivated the audience for almost two years now. (Seriously, we cannot get over how quickly he is growing!) Instagram photos and even brief videos are not the same as seeing him go about his life as a tiny little human on Little People, Big World . With the season premiere just around the corner, we’re sure that fans will get a very healthy dose of cuteness to counterbalance the drama. Mine happened at the predominately white elementary school I attended in the late 80s. All of us students were working on an art project with colored pencils we had to swap out for news ones at our teacher’s desk. I was really feeling myself that day because I had gotten my hair pressed over the weekend. It was laid, luxurious and smelling like fresh Pink Oil Lotion. I remember sitting at my desk, tapping those smooth pencils on the side my head as I pondered how to create my masterpiece. When I was done, I returned my pencils, feeling confident that my design was amazing. But a few minutes later that all changed when I heard someone loudly ask, “Why are these pencils so greasy?” My nemesis, who I will call Melissa, quickly told the class, “That’s because Kellee put them in her hair.” The room erupted in laughter. I was devastated. Having that straight hair made me feel like I had finally fit in with the Colleens and Beckies of the fourth grade. And yet in that instant, their cruelty had my facade crashing all the way down. It’s funny, because it’s been over a decade since the last time I’d even thought about that horrible day. But when I first heard Kelly Rowland’s recent song “Crown,” I was instantly brought back to that time. See, this collaboration with Dove is an empowering anthem aimed at young girls, reminding them that their hair is wonderful, glorious and amazing as is. And the video includes young girls from around the country who have been punished and even suspended for how they chose to rock their tresses. Seeing “Crown’s” images and hearing its lyrics made me wish I had something like this when I was younger, a singer to tell that ashamed little Black girl that her hair was “beautiful in every color. Long, short, straight or curly.” Now if I, a grown woman at 40-years-old, can be inspired by this, I can only imagine the impact it’s having on girls and young women who are coming into their own living in a world of the pressures of Instagram and Snapchat. This is why what Kelly is doing is so important. She is using her God-given gift to do her part to help shape the way girls see themselves and the world around them. And for little Black girls (and women), these messages are especially needed, given the complicated relationship we have with our hair and how often our bodies and hair are overpoliced at school, the workplace and beyond . In addition to the song, Kelly’s taking the message to the streets with community events aimed at bolstering girls’s self-esteem. Last month in downtown Los Angeles, Kelly co-hosted a Dove Self-Esteem Workshop with more than 30 girls from the Boys and Girls Club in attendance. The special workshop, which took place on Feb. 19, offered numerous confidence tips, an interactive conversation and ended with a runway show with the girls showing off the paper crowns they decorated. HelloBeautiful recently caught up with Kelly to discuss her personal story behind “Crown,” why representation matters and tips on overcoming our own hair issues.
An investigation has been launched on the West Midlands Police department after video surfaced of officers aggressively hitting and pepper spraying a Black man inside an unidentified room before shutting the door on the person recording. Sources claim that the victim was a Muslim, which allegedly lead to the violent attack — however, officers have not confirmed. The department released a statement saying: “On February 25 officers were called by a doctor who was conducting a mental health assessment in Sandwell. During the assessment, the 38-year-old man became violent and assaulted the doctor with a metal crutch, so police were called. The video circulating on social media shows edited footage of officers who attended but does not show the events which lead up to his restraint.” West Midlands Police didn’t take responsibility for the officers volatile behavior, but they did refer themselves to the Independent Office for Police Conduct. After the assault, the unidentified victim was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken into custody. He is currently receiving treatment in a mental health facility.
Forbes is bowing down and acknowledging that Kylie Jenner is the youngest self-made billionaire . But having gained so much means that Kylie is very aware that she has a lot to lose. That’s why, a report shares, she’s mulling over making Travis sign an ironclad prenup before she’ll even consider marrying him. HiollywoodLife reports that Kylie Jenner has a case of cold feet when it comes to making things official with baby daddy Travis Scott. “Kylie is apprehensive of getting engaged or married to Travis,” an insider cautions. To be clear, she absolutely still loves him. That’s not the problem. “But,” the source explains. “Now that she is a billionaire, she would want him to sign the biggest prenup ever.” The insider adds that Kylie would feel the need to do so “to protect all her assets.” Recent family events and reports that Kylie found evidence that Travis cheated , Kylie is unsure of her destiny. “Kylie is having doubts as to whether or not she will marry Travis,” the source notes. “She loves him,” the insider affirms. “And wants to trust him completely.” Wanting and doing are not the same thing. The source continues: “but she just is not entirely sure.” “She thinks she will feel better about things when his tour is over,” the insider reports. The source continues: “And they can spend every day together again as a family.” It’s easy for doubts and insecurities to build up in a loved one’s absence. “Until then,” the insider says. “She worries about what he is up to on the road.” “And,” the souce adds. “Doesn’t know if getting engaged right now is the right thing to do.” Apparently, Kylie has a plan to keep calm even while Travis is far from her sight. The report says that Kylie has asked some “reliable tour workers” to keep an eye on Travis. In general, we’d recommend against being with someone on whom you feel the need to spy. But maybe this is a one-time thing. Maybe she just needs a little reassurance at the moment. Yeah, we imagine that Kylie doesn’t want to be embarrassed by anything that Travis does on tour. But the report notes that Kylie has misgivings about the idea of a prenup, even if she trusts Travis. If protecting her fortune is “on her mind over love, then she would refrain from making things between her and Travis even more official.” Now … this report is unconfirmed, and largely describes Kylie’s thoughts. We have a suspicion that this was brought on by the report that Kylie’s officially a billionaire. The more a person has to lose, the more people are interested in what risks they will and won’t take for love. A couple of things. One, we don’t actually know that Travis Scott cheated. He says that the story is bogus. But we’re inclined to believe that, at the very least, TMZ genuinely believes that their report is true. Two, Millennials are notably bringing back prenups even when they’re not especially rich. (Yes, Kylie is a Millennial and not Gen Z, she was born in the ’90s which is considered a “gray area” but that’s silly) The reality of the situation with prenups is that everyone actually has a prenup — it’s just whatever the laws are in the state where you got married. You should always read up on those. If the division of assets or other details don’t look right, come up with your own. (And make sure that everyone involved has their own attorney) Whether Kylie “trusts” Travis shouldn’t be an issue — a fair prenup is always a good idea. And that’s if she and Travis get married.
