Katy Perry Plans ‘Larger Than Life’ Teenage Dream Videos

Pop star wants tour around the album to be a ‘massive production.’ By Jocelyn Vena Katy Perry Photo: Capitol Katy Perry soared to the top of the charts with her just-released second album, Teenage Dream, but don’t expect the pop star to sit around and count her dough now that she’s avoided the sophomore slump . She has big plans for the album, including a tour and “larger than life” music videos to follow in the footsteps of the clips for “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream.” “I guess I’m looking forward to making music videos on this new album … and I’m really excited about incorporating the look and the idea of some of the songs on tour and making a massive production of it,” she said. “I’m gonna want a lot of visuals. I want it to be 10 times better than when I was on tour last.” She said this album shows her growth as an artist since releasing her debut One of the Boys, and she hopes to capture that visually. “This record is more important, as important, if not more important than the first record,” she said. “This one will really show if it was all by chance that the first one happened, which I strongly don’t believe. But I think I have to work just as hard and show people that there is a visual element. There’s a story to the songs. … I’m really excited about going on tour again and giving out those hugs and not handshakes and making those music videos that are going to be larger than life.” Calling the album a “perfect snapshot” of her life now, she said she has one major goal for it: “My ultimate goal is just to make people feel with music. I think that’s really important, the power of music, and hopefully people can hear that displayed in this record, but like I said, it’s not like anything I’m not. … It definitely has a little bit more spice to it.” Perry tweeted her excitement about the record’s success, thanking fans for helping it reach the top of the charts. “Before I purr off to dreamland I want to say THANK YOU! Thank you so much for my FIRST #1 RECORD DEBUT! I couldn’t have done it without YOU,” she wrote. “YAY CUPCAKES FOR EVERYONEEEEEEEEEE! #1TEENAGEDREAMDEBUT!” Are you excited for more videos from Teenage Dream ? Let us know in the comments! Justin Long ‘Would Love To’ Star In ‘Die Hard 5’

‘I don’t know if I’m going to get my hands on it,’ he laughs about the Bruce Willis franchise. By Kara Warner Justin Long Photo: MTV News In addition to having some wacky moments, Bruce Willis dropped some exciting tidbits on MTV News at last month’s San Diego Comic-Con, revealing, for one, that “Die Hard 5” is “imminent.” When we caught up with his “Die Hard With a Vengeance” co-star Justin Long, we asked him how he might be involved in the imminent, as Willis described it, fifth installment of the misadventures of John McClane. Apparently, Long needed a quick vocabulary lesson before responding. “Nice try, Bruce, for making up a word. I think he meant emasculate,” Long joked while promoting his September 3 flick “Going the Distance.” “No, I heard it was imminent and as soon as I looked up the word, I got excited.” But Long said his excitement was unfortunately short-lived, his mood tempered somewhat by what he said was an awkward exchange with a film studio executive. “I had a meeting recently at Fox about doing a romantic [comedy],” Long explained. “And the guy in the office next door, he was in charge of the new ‘Die Hard,’ [so] I said, ‘Do you mind if I pop my head in?’ So I met him and I was like, ‘Ummm?’ ” the actor recalled, gesturing with his hands in a motion that suggested “what about me?” “He was equally vague in his gesture back to me,” Long said. “So I didn’t get a good feeling that I was going to be a part of the imminent ‘Die Hard.’ I don’t know if I’m going to get my hands on it.” He added, “I would love to.” With or without Long, it seems a decision about whether the film will actually happen is still up for debate. What do you think about Long’s character coming back for a fifth “Die Hard” movie? Tell us in the comments! Justin Bieber 3-D Movie Back On Track

‘Step Up 3D’ director Jon Chu will helm biopic/ concert film. By Adam Rosenberg Justin Bieber Photo: Robyn Beck/ AFP/ Getty Images After a brief hiccup, the 3-D Justin Bieber movie is back in the mix. It had previously been reported that , but he dropped out to promote his upcoming release, “Waiting for Superman.” Now Paramount Pictures has hired “Step Up 3D” director Jon Chu to steer the biopic/ concert film to the big screen, according to a press release. Also new to the team are producers Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz, the duo behind “Project Runway,” “Top Chef” and “Project Greenlight.” Bieber manager Scooter Braun and Island Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid were previously confirmed as producers as well. The hiring comes not a moment too soon, as filming is already under way. Cameras were rolling behind the scenes earlier this week at the young pop star’s Nashville performance. They’ll be following him on tour through the end of this month, when Bieber’s August 31 Madison Square Garden performance in New York will be shot with 3-D cameras. Chu is coming to the Bieber movie fresh off of promoting the just-released “Step Up 3D.” Of the hiring, he said, “When I was approached about doing Justin’s film, I jumped at the opportunity to tell a story with honesty and heart. Most people don’t know that his is a true underdog story, and I hope to tell it in a compelling, genuine way, using all source materials available to convey his tale of becoming an icon for this digital age.” Magical Elves partners Cutforth and Lipsitz also expressed their excitement in a statement. “To be able to tell the story of Justin’s unique and revolutionary path to stardom in our first studio feature is an incredible opportunity for us,” they said. Despite the change in director, the movie is still set for a 2011 Valentine’s Day weekend release, as was previously announced. A rep for the show confirmed to MTV News that LC will be back for more of “The Hills,” making an appearance on the live show after “The Hills” series finale. LC’s former “Hills” co-star and current “The City” star Whitney Port tweeted her excitement about the news, writing, “So excited to reunite with all the hillsies!” Show creator Adam DiVello first broke the news on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Tuesday, revealing, “Lauren Conrad will be at the finale event along with Whitney Port and the whole entire cast. “It will be a big party,” he added. “We have some stories being paid off in the finale that I think the viewers will find pretty exciting. It would be nice to have her come back.” Cavallari added: “The last episode, she comes back, and we all kind of rekindle and, you know, spend our last moment together before it’s all over. I think it would be amazing if she came back. I think it would be great.” Are you excited to see LC return? ‘Get Him to the Greek’

Talking dogs, an out of control rock star, bizarre genetically engineered creatures, and a super-spy masquerading as a normal guy…yes, there’s a little something for everyone in this weekend’s new release. Get Him to the Greek is the funniest film of 2010 by a long-shot. Delivering the most fun I’ve had in a theater this year, this R-rated raunchy, wacky spin-off from 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall is loaded with jokes that connect, it’s fast-paced, and even has a bit of heart to it (it is a Judd Apatow production, after all). The R-rating is rightfully deserved as Get Him to the Greek pushes the limits in its attempts to elicit laughs. It’s not for everyone, taking the whole sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll theme to the absolute extremes, but if you’re not easily offended and ready to laugh, Get Him to the Greek doesn’t disappoint. The Story Russell Brand and Jonah Hill reunite, with Brand playing the character he created in Forgetting Sarah Marshall while Hill’s a completely different character from FSM . Confused? Don’t be…just go with it and move on. This time around Hill plays Aaron Green, a record company employee who loves rock and roll and is committed to his job and his live-in girlfriend. When his boss, Sergio (Sean Combs), asks for suggestions on how to perk up sales, Aaron chimes in with the idea of a 10 year anniversary concert by Aldous Snow at the Greek Theatre. Snow used to be a rock god, but after committing career suicide with the horrible “African Child” song/music video, an absolutely disastrous attempt at displaying an awareness and empathy for those in need, he’s in desperate need of a career resurrection. When none of his other minions come up with a better suggestion, Sergio commands Aaron to go to London, pick up Aldous and get him to the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles in time for the concert that’s now just a few days away. Russell Brand as Aldous Snow in ‘Get Him to the Greek.’ © Universal Pictures What follows is one of the most twisted road trips ever in a feature film. Aaron’s on a tight timeline but Aldous doesn’t operate that way and so getting him from Point A (London) to Point B (New York for interviews) to Point C (Los Angeles for the concert) involves everything from Aaron stuffing drugs up his butt to sex with total strangers to the rubbing of furry walls in an effort to gain inner peace. There’s fighting and fleeing and much debauchery going on as Aaron tries his best to deliver the wild man on time and in one piece, while trying not to get swept up into Aldous’ hard-partying, ‘looks glamourous from the outside but doesn’t hold up on close inspection’ ways.
