Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’ Video Is ‘Profound,’ Makeup Artist Says

Billy Brasfield takes to his Twitter account to heap praise on Gaga’s upcoming clip. By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: David Wolff-Patrick/ Getty Images We may not know what it looks like, but we know it’s coming soon, and, from the sound of things, it’s going to be quite the experience. We’re talking, of course, about Lady Gaga’s hotly anticipated “Born This Way” video , which she apparently shot this past weekend, and, according to her makeup artist Billy Brasfield, it’s the kind of thing that defies explanation. And adjectives. (Though that didn’t stop him from heaping ’em on.) In fact, the “BTW” video is apparently so awe-inducing that it brought Brasfield to tears. “Have you ever been a part of something that was so profound, so inspiring, so incredibly beautiful, that as it was happening, it brought tears to your eyes and you had been given a gift, and you were thankful?” he tweeted on Monday. “It happened to me [and] I am thankful. 1/22, 1/23, 1/24- 2011 LADY GAGA–#BORNTHISWAY.” Brasfield then followed that message up with another tweet Tuesday morning (January 25), in which he continued to pile praise on the “Born This Way” clip. “After days of sensory overload, of amazing song, ridiculously beautiful imagery, fashion, beautiful People, great friends, and a life changing experience, I am awake again after 24 hours of sleep,” he wrote. “Hello New York City and snow.” Of course, Brasfield isn’t the only member of Gaga’s team hyping the “Born This Way” video these days. On Monday, LG’s fashion director (and Thierry Mugler creative director) Nicola Formichetti took to his Twitter account to praise the shoot, writing, “Ok kids, get ready for [‘Born This Way’]. We’ve just created the most amazing thing ever.” Related Artists Lady Gaga

Diplomats Say, ‘Together, We Can Always Do Better’

Reunited Dipset show up for ‘RapFix Live,’ where Jim Jones says he’s glad to have his ‘brothers back.’ By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway The Diplomats Photo: MTV News When it comes to the reunited Diplomats , the Harlem collective’s spat was largely between frontman Cam’ron and capo Jim Jones. Cam and Jim tossed barbs at each other during interviews, though they were civil enough to acknowledge their childhood friendship. And while Juelz Santana remained neutral for a long time (he eventually sided with Jones), it was Freekey Zekey who constantly urged the pair to put aside their differences. “Zeke never had a problem with anyone, so he was always trying to get everybody to talk,” Cam’ron told host Sway during the Dipset’s appearance on “RapFix Live” on Thursday (January 20). “I think everyone just needed to come to an understanding. We could all do great by ourselves, but if we all together, we can always do better. Like Snoop said, I can do whatever I want by myself but when I’m with Dr. Dre, it’s breakthroughs, it’s miracles, it’s stars and it’s all types of things in the air.” The rift between Cam and Jones lasted roughly three years until last year when the two announced they’d reconciled; in April 2010 they revealed they were in negotiations for a new record deal. A month later, in Atlanta, the two made their most pronounced appearance together in years when they joined forces at a Converse-sponsored hoops tournament , where they took first place. Since then, the Harlem crew have been back to their old tricks — with an added wrinkle in new affiliate and Cam prot

Aretha Franklin Says She Is ‘Feeling Great’

Iconic singer refuses to reveal ailment but says ‘the problem has been resolved.’ By Mawuse Ziegbe Aretha Franklin Photo: Bill McCay/WireImage Aretha Franklin may not be forthcoming about her recent health issues, but she has assured fans that she is doing well. In an interview with Jet magazine, the legendary songstress, who is reportedly battling cancer and underwent surgery in December , declined to disclose her specific ailment but maintained that her health drama has subsided. “I am not going to even deal with that,” she said in response to reports that she is battling cancer. “I don’t have to talk about my health with anybody other than my doctors. The problem has been resolved.” The “Respect” singer explained that her unwillingness to reveal her mystery illness stems from a preference to preserve her privacy. “I am not one to do a lot of talking about my personal health or business. Not too much, not too much,” she said. “There are a lot of people who will talk about anything, as long as there is somebody listening. But I am not one of those people. That’s not Aretha.” While she chooses to remain protective of her health issues, the Queen of Soul did reveal how she discovered something was wrong, recalling “a very hard pain in my side” during a performance in Toronto last year that led her to check in with her doctor. “I had a colonoscopy and it showed nothing was wrong. I associated the pain in my side with the colonoscopy that I had within a day or two before. I got up at 2 o’clock in the morning and called the doctor who did the colonoscopy and told him what was happening. He said, ‘Miss Franklin, whatever it is, it is not from the colonoscopy. You need to come home and have a CAT-scan.’ Thank God he said that, because that unfolded everything, what the problem was and everything,” she said. Franklin also explained that she decided to open up about her experience and her current condition so fans won’t fret about the soul diva. “I know my fans are concerned,” she said. “Let them know I am feeling great and coming along.” Send your well-wishes for Aretha Franklin in the comments below. Justin Timberlake Isn’t Behind Leaked Track ‘Take Me Down,’ Rep Says

‘Justin has no involvement with either the song or the artist,’ JT’s rep says of tune by Danish recording artist. By James Dinh Justin Timberlake Photo: Kevork Djansezian/ Getty Images Contrary to reports, Justin Timberlake is not the singer behind a track called “Take Me Down,” a rep confirmed to MTV News on Monday (January 3). The song, which was reportedly produced by the Neptunes, began circulating on the Internet on Thursday and was believed to be a previously unreleased JT tune. “Various media outlets recently reported that a song called ‘Take You Down’ is a new track from Justin Timberlake. These reports are untrue,’ the singer’s rep said in a statement to MTV News. “Justin has no involvement with either the song or the artist but wants to assure his fans that when he releases new music, they will be the first to know.” Despite the JT resemblance, the track is actually by Danish artist Rasmus Thude and titled “LLL (Love, Liquor, Lick It).” MTV News regrets the error. Fans will have to wait to hear new music from Timberlake , who has said in a number of recent interviews that he isn’t ready to record the follow-up to 2006’s FutureSex/ LoveSounds. “I want to conceptualize something a little bit more,” he recently told the Los Angeles Times. “And it’s probably because of the experience I’m having working with directors and screenwriters and getting to play cool characters. If that means I come up with, like, my version of ‘Ziggy Stardust,’ so be it. Who knows? What I’ve learned from acting in movies, I want to apply to music and see what happens.” Related Artists Justin Timberlake

Porn Company Creates Kinect Sex Game

By NewsCore – A demonstration of a new sex game for the Kinect video game console received more than 11,000 hits on YouTube by Thursday morning — just 15 hours after it was posted. The controller-free console designed for family fun became a new medium for pornography less than two months after it was released. The game allows users to simulate sex acts using the console's advanced technology, which requires users to move their bodies instead of a controller. “The open-sourcing of device drivers for Kinect have enabled the device to be used directly from connected PCs operating on Windows 7. The Kinect interface provides another exciting interface option for users of the sex-simulation software to control the experience in extraordinary new ways,” the game's developer, 3D sex-simulation producer ThriXXX, told cnet.com. Woman sues TSA, DHS heads after agent’s "boob" comment

These measures include various checkpoints, 'behaviour pattern analysis,' racial profiling, and discrimination and humiliating treatment of Arabs and blacks with Muslim names, and biometric identification will be rolled out eventually. Adrienne Durso, a resident of California, was selected for an enhanced pat-down after walking through a metal detector at Albuquerque International Sunport airport, according to a lawsuit. Durso, a recent breast cancer survivor, said the TSA security officer forcefully searched the area of her recent mastectomy, leaving her in pain and on the verge of crying. In November, a TSA agent reportedly forced another breast cancer survivor to show her prosthetic breast. Durso's 17-year-old son stood watching as she experienced the pat down. When her son confronted a security supervisor about the incident, asking why his mother had been selected for a pat-down but not him, the supervisor allegedly replied that the son was not selected because “you don't have boobs.” After her experience, Durso joined three other plaintiffs in a lawsuit against Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and TSA administrator John Pistole. One of the other plaintiffs allegedly received “an invasive and aggressive pat-down of his genitals, presumably due to the fact” that he has an enlarged testicle from an injury he experienced. The other two plaintiffs, a mother and her daughter, claim that while at a security checkpoint TSA agents pulled aside the 12-year-old girl and subjected her to a body scan without the consent of her legal guardians. *** This is a game, and here's how TSA and the federal government are playing YOU: You are purposely being conditioned to hate these TSA humiliating and invasive security measures that have been implemented to protect you from fake Al Qaeda. The reason being is that DHS and TSA will eventually propose an alternative to having American citizens being scanned by naked body scanners and sexually assaulted by people who were barely able to make it through high school. That alternative will be for the federal government to adopt security measures that are already in place in Tel Aviv's El Al airport.
