She wants us to believe she didn’t leak the tape? Yeah right. Donald Sterling’s Alleged Girlfriend V Stiviano Says Someone Leaked Tape For Money So if she didn’t leak it, who did? According to LA Times: An attorney for V. Stiviano, the woman at the center of the Donald Sterling scandal, said she had permission to record the Clipper’s owner and doesn’t know who leaked the tape to TMZ. Calabasas lawyer Mac Nehoray declined to state the purpose of the recording, but said it was “by mutual agreement.” “My client is devastated that this got out,” he said, adding that he and Stiviano “have an idea” who released it. He declined to identify that person. “Someone released it for money,” he said. Stiviano recorded the rants that led to Sterling’s banishment from professional basketball and said through her attorney that she was never his mistress. Contrary to some media reports, Stiviano was not in a romantic relationship with Sterling, her attorney said. “It’s nothing like it’s been portrayed,” Nehoray said. “She’s not the type of person everyone says.” She recorded the conversation, Nehoray said, but had no role in providing the damaging tape to TMZ, the website that first broke the story. The conversation occurred at her home in September in the presence of another person and Sterling knew he was being recorded, Nehoray added. He also said Stiviano and the 80-year-old Clippers owner never had a sexual or romantic relationship and that descriptions of her as his mistress in the media and in a lawsuit filed by Sterling’s wife were erroneous. Scribbled on stationery from the Phoenix Hotel in San Francisco, the note was disclosed by police following a recent re-opening of the investigation into Cobain’s 1994 suicide. Courtney likely wishes it had stayed hidden. “Do you Kurt Cobain take Courtney Michelle Love to be your lawfully shredded wife,” reads one scathing portion. “Even when she’s a b!tch with zits and siphoning all yr money for doping and whoring.” Not exactly a love poem, but many have pointed out that there is no way of determining when the note was written or if the heroin-addicted singer was in his right mind at the time. The note – which was found in a pocket of the pants Cobain was wearing at the time of his death – stands in sharp contrast to the letter Kurt left to be found at the scene. That note was released shortly after his body was discovered and describes Love as “a goddess of a wife who sweats with ambition and empathy.” Though conspiracy theorists have long been convinced that foul play was involved in Cobain’s untimely passing, the most recent investigation by Seattle police detectives uncovered no new findings and his death continues to be ruled a suicide. While this new letter is unlikely to alter those findings, it may impact the ongoing fight over Cobain’s substantial estate. Fans and friends paid public tribute to the late singer on the 20th anniversary of Cobain’s death earlier this month.
