First Bill was tossed aside by Spelman College in Atlanta and willingly withdrew from the board of trustees at Temple, and now more institutions of higher education are severing ties with the fallen comedian . Fordham University has officially revoked the Honorary Doctorate they granted to Bill Cosby in 2001. The decision was made during a Board of Trustees meeting on earlier today. University president Joseph McShane introduced a motion to strike Cosby’s doctorate degree and the members of the board unanimously agreed, marking the first time in histroty that the school revoked an honorary degree. In an official statement to the student body the university said: “The University has taken this extraordinary step in light of Mr. Cosby’s now-public court depositions that confirm many of the allegations made against him.” Yikes. Jenner decided to have I Am Cait ‘s executive producer send Blossom’s story to Ellen DeGeneres, in hopes of spotlighting her story even more. Hollywood is in mourning. Frank Gifford died at the age of 84 Sunday, with the impact of his passing felt across both the entertainment landscape and the sports landscape. And their desire for penning long-lasting hip hop hits has certainly paid off. But it is the way with which they infuse their two distinct and intriguing personalities which have earned them recognition as the “most original tandem” to surface within the music industry in decades. They are Cool Amerika. And they are one of Alliance Music Group’s (AMG) newest signees. Captivated by the pair’s word-play and stage presence, the Atlanta-based record label—headed by veteran music executive, Temesghen “T-Money” Yohannes and Kenderick “Slimm” Alloway—decided to take a chance on the pair. Their gamble paid off. Cool Amerika’s latest mixtape, titled, No Taxes 2, already spawned two breakout singles: “MVP” (featuring MC Offset from The Migos) and “Make Sum Shake” (produced by Cassius Jay). It also featured the Kevin Gates-assisted track, “Day 1s”. The records—the majority of which were produced by Buddah Bless—have already made waves on the streets and radio as well as virally. Upon realizing their knack for writing—and hip hop—the two forged a bond and unleashed their talent. They first showcased their extraordinary writing abilities on their debut mixtape, No Taxes. It proved to be no small feat as the mixtape’s reception catapulted them into the spotlight, nearly overnight. According to US Magazine: X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer responded to the sexual abuse allegations against him on Thursday, calling them “outrageous” and “vicious.” He also announced his decision to bow out of promotional appearances for his latest superhero sequel amid the scandal. “The allegations against me are outrageous, vicious, and completely false,” Singer, 48, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on April 24. “I do not want these fictitious claims to divert ANY attention from X-Men: Days of Future Past. This fantastic film is a labor of love and one of the greatest experiences of my career.” The statement continued: “So, out of respect to all of the extraordinary contributions from the incredibly talented actors and crew involved, I’ve decided not to participate in the upcoming media events for the film. However, I promise when this situation is over, the facts will show this to be the sick twisted shakedown it is. I want to thank fans, friends, and family for all their amazing and overwhelming support.” Singer’s statement comes one week after his accuser, former child model Michael Egan III, filed a lawsuit alleging that the director had coerced him into having o**l and a**l sex when he was 17. Jackson Says Evolution Is False According to Raw Story The Republican nominee for lieutenant governor in Virginia believes that biological evolution is false because chimpanzees cannot speak like humans do. BuzzFeed revealed on Tuesday that E.W. Jackson made the claim in Ten Commandments to an Extraordinary Life, a book he published in 2008. In the book, he noted that scientists had taught chimpanzees to use sign language. He said this finding was wrongly used as evidence that primates were our ancestors. Jackson said the scientists were incorrect because language was a gift God provided exclusively to human beings and “no other creature.” “There is an unfathomable gulf between humans and all other creatures because creation was designed that way,” he wrote. Scientists have uncovered that modern humans and modern chimpanzees share a common ancestor in the distant past. The notion that modern humans evolved from chimpanzees is a common misconception. It is not the first time the controversial candidate’s book has been the subject of scrutiny. In late May, the liberal blog Think Progress reported that Jackson was an advocate of the so-called “prosperity gospel.” In apparent contradiction to the teachings of the New Testament, Jackson’s book declared the pursuit of money was not evil and didn’t make people evil. Forced Sex Victim Subject Of Documentary According to Mail Online The brave fight of a gang forced sex victim shunned by her rural Pakistani village for accusing her alleged attackers is now the subject of a heartbreaking documentary. Kainat Soomro was labelled a ‘kari’, or ‘black virgin’, and her own family ordered to kill her in order to rid themselves of shame after she said she was attacked by four men as a 13-year-old in 2007. But the teenager’s relatives refused to turn their back on Kainat, and vowed to support her as she took the extraordinary step of fighting for justice in defiance of moral laws that have been in place in Pakistan for centuries. The years that have passed since Kainat’s nightmare ordeal have proved no less difficult, with her family forced out of their village, Dadu, amid threats of violence and murder. Her father and one of her brothers were beaten, while an older brother disappeared for three months before being found murdered. Kainat’s pursuit of the case through a legal system which places the burden of proof on the victim ended with her alleged attackers being acquitted. Kainat and her family, who now live in a cramped two bedroom apartment in Karachi, say they have ‘lost everything’, a report on news.com.au said. A documentary, called Outlawed in Pakistan, tells the story of Kainat’s fight for justice against the odds. The documentary, first unveiled at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, aired for the first time on U.S. television last week. ‘They told me I am not a real man,’ Kainat’s brother, Sabir, tells film-makers Habiba Nosheen and Hilke Schellmann. ‘[that] you failed to follow your tradition, you failed to kill your sister.’ Viewers watch as Kainat hires a lawyer, makes television appearances and appeals against court decisions. But despite her persistence, the film’s narrator tells how the judge describes her accusations as ‘a product of her own fantasy’. Following their acquittal, the men she accused wonder why she didn’t just stay home ‘and keep quiet’. Outlawed in Pakistan shines a spotlight on the fight Kainat insists she will never give up, in spite of the seemingly insurmountable obstacles in her path.
