Woman Who Fainted In Front Of Subway Survives But Loses Arm And Leg 25-year-old Sophie Yu survived falling in front of an oncoming 6 train Wednesday in Manhattan but she remains in hospitalized after losing her right arm below the elbow and right leg below the knee. “Her family is devastated,” close pal, who asked not to be identified, told t he New York Daily News. “There’s a lot of stuff they need to figure out right now … She’s going to have a lot to go through.” Police and witnesses say Yu, who is a Wharton business school grad, swooned and fell to the tracks as the train pulled into the 51st St. station on the Lexington Ave. line around 1:30 p.m. The subway motorman saw Yu fall and attempted to stop, slamming on the brakes, however his attempt was unsuccessful. Yu’s shoes remained on the platform after her fall. She regained consciousness while being rescued and was alert as workers carefully removed her from beneath the train. She was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical but stable condition. “I’m not sure how much her (parents) know,” said the friend. “We are all supporting her, and I think that’s all she needs right now.” Prayers up for Sophie right now. Game of Thrones Season 7: Premiere Date Announced!

Summer is coming. Doesn’t exactly have the same ring to it, does it? But it remains true, and with summer will come the return of the most popular show on television. Via a Facebook Live “event” that was really just a block of ice slowly melting away to reveal a date, HBO announced today that Game of Thrones Season 7 will premiere on July 16, 2017 . Mark your calendars. Set your DVR. And plan all vacations accordingly. The network has also unveiled the first official poster for this beloved series, which will debut in July for the first time in show history. The teaser image – first seen this week at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas – evokes a pair of the the iconic fantasy series’ favorite themes: Fire (typically represented by Daenerys and her “children,” of course). Ice (most commonly associated with northern son Jon Snow). What might this mean? You’re guess is as good as ours. But it’s safe to assume that Dany and Jon will finally meet this season. What else do we know at this time about Game of Thrones Season 7? According to a script that allegedly leaked , fans can look forward to the following storylines. (Consider yourselves SPOILER WARNED.) Jon Snow and Daenerys spend a great deal of the season together at Dragonstone. Arya and Sansa will be reunited, with the former essentially acting as a killing machine at this point. Under orders from Sana, Arya will kill Littlefinger. Cersei will be pregnant (no word yet on the identity of the father) and will form an alliance with Euron Greyjoy to do battle against Jon and Dany. Sam, Gilly and Bran will piece together that Jon Snow the rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Jon will head north of the Wall to capture a wight and bring it back as evidence of the very dangerous threat that exists there. Oh, and The Night’s King will actually possesses Dany’s dragon Viserion and turn him into an ice dragon that destroys the fall. WHOA! This all should be taken with a grain of salt the size of Tyrion’s ego, of course. But it all sounds rather epic. No official announcement has been made, meanwhile, but Game of Thrones is expected to come to an end after Season 8. We have no idea what we’ll do on Sunday nights after that. Alabama Drive-In Won’t Screen “Beauty And The Beast” Because Of Inclusion Of Gay Character

Drive-In Theatre Cancels “Beauty And The Beast” Due To Gay Character According to AL.com , an Alabama drive-in theater is refusing to show “Beauty And The Beast” after the director spilled the beans that one of the characters in the movie is gay. Apparently, in the live-action version of the fairy tale , Gaston’s lackey Lefou (played by Josh Gad) has implied feelings for Gaston. Since we haven’t seen the flick yet, we aren’t sure exactly how this plays out…but Josh Gad has described it as “very subtle,” so we’re speculating that it’s something that would probably fly over little kids’ heads anyway. Either way, the word “gay” set the Mom & Pop owners of the Henagar Drive-In off and they said they aren’t showing the movie AT ALL, since there’s no way they could watch something like that with their grandkids in the seats next to them and the Lord sharing their popcorn. As they shared to Facebook: As of December 16th the Henagar Drive-In is under new ownership. Movies scheduled prior to that date and four weeks after this date were not scheduled by the new owners. That being said…It is with great sorrow that I have to tell our customers that we will not be showing Beauty and the Beast at the Henagar Drive-In when it comes out. When companies continually force their views on us we need to take a stand. We all make choices and I am making mine. For those that do not know Beauty and the Beast is “premiering” their first homosexual character. The producer also says at the end of the movie “there will be a surprise for same-sex couples”. If we can not take our 11 year old grand daughter and 8 year old grandson to see a movie we have no business watching it. If I can’t sit through a movie with God or Jesus sitting by me then we have no business showing it. I know there will be some that do not agree with this decision. That’s fine. We are first and foremost Christians. We will not compromise on what the Bible teaches. We will continue to show family oriented films so you can feel free to come watch wholesome movies without worrying about sex, nudity, homosexuality and foul language. Thank you for your support! So as adults…they can only ever watch movies that are appropriate for children? Ok… Well, it is their business and not showing the movie is definitely their decision and they 100% have the right to make it. It does seem like overkill to refuse to show the movie before first screening it for content to see if that’s even necessary. However, we have a feeling a lot of folks in our comment section are probably going to go ahead declare that their kids aren’t going to be allowed to see this one as well… What do you think? Disney

Rob Kardashian: Is His Diabetes Out of Control?!

These past few months haven’t been too kind to Rob Kardashian. Well, these past few months, these past few years, whatever. He did become a father to the unspeakably adorable Dream , which is undoubtedly a high point in his life — despite the shambles his life seems to be in right now, he still seems so very, very happy about being a dad. But everything else? Yeah, it’s kind of a mess. His relationship with Blac Chyna seems to be over at this point, perhaps for good. They’ve been broken up for a few weeks now at least, and unlike their previous splits, there’s been no back and forths between them, no yelling about “texting bitches,” no social media rampages. We’d heard that they’re trying to be mature about it all, and against all odds, it seems like they’re succeeding. So since Rob’s love life has apparently gone all to hell, it’s a good thing he has his health, right? Not so fast … Rob has been struggling with diabetes for over a year now. He was first hospitalized for it in December of 2015, and it seemed pretty serious at the time. He lost a lot of weight when he began dating Blac Chyna, enough that he actually reversed the diabetes, but that didn’t last for long. He began gaining weight again, and when he and Chyna started having serious relationship issues, he got back in self-destruct mode, eating his feelings and ignoring his health. Last December, he was hospitalized once again when his diabetes got out of control. We’ve heard that Rob is considering gastric bypass surgery to get a handle on his weight, but as of now, he hasn’t taken that leap yet. But he has been desperately asking his Instagram followers for advice on managing his diabetes. Last night, Rob posted (and deleted) this: Apparently some people believe that if you drink some good old-fashioned okra water, you can cure your diabetes. And hey, maybe you can. This is a wild world we’re living in. In his caption, Rob wrote “Has anyone tried this?? I need to know if it really works.” And there’s just something a little sad about that, right? Something a little desperate. Hopefully he’s not having any serious complications that we don’t know about, something that would make him feel like he needs to try anything and everything that could possibly help him. Daryl Easton, Card Trick Extraordinaire, Commits Suicide in Magic Castle

Daryl Easton, a magician best known for his awe-inspiring card tricks, was found dead inside Hollywood’s famed Magic Castle on Friday, according to various news outlets. He was 61 years old. The body of the entertainer was found in a closet of the popular private club, which offers upscale a dining experience and magic shows to attendees. It has been in business since 1963. A Hollywood police spokesman told the The New York Daily News that employees discovered Easton’s corpse inside a closet, wearing only his underwear. He had a bag over his head and appeared to have hanged himself. Cops have ruled the death a suicide. The Magic Castle has acknowledged Easton’s passing and paid tribute to the late magician on Facebook. “The magic community mourns the loss of one of our most beloved and talented performers and the AMA’s deepest regrets and heart-felt sympathy go out to Daryl’s family,” reads the social media statement. Continues the Facebook message, which you can rest in its entirety below: Daryl was a World Champion, first-place FISM Gold medal winning, close-up magician with over 40 years of experience in both performing and selling the finest magic in the world. Daryl performed as a headline act at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for seven years fine tuning his already encyclopedic knowledge of magic. Daryl has performed literally thousands of shows for audiences as diverse as the Witch Doctors on the South Pacific island of Vanuatu to the movers and shakers of the political world at the Presidential Ball in Washington, D.C. In what can now be confirmed sadly as his final Facebook post, Easton sent his wishes to those affected by the deadly storm that affected southern California last week. “Thinking of all our SoCal friends,” he wrote on February 18. “Stay safe in this storm! I’ll be heading down that way myself tomorrow for a week at The Magic Castle.” “Sending lots of love to the magic community tonight!” wrote magician Joel Ward on Twitter in response to this sad news. Added Jonathan Steigman: “In the magic world, Daryl was world famous, one of the top creators, teachers and performers. Glennon Doyle Melton and Abby Wambach have a major piece of exciting news to share: They are engaged! To be married! The Christian mom blogger made major headlines in November when she announced to social media followers that she was dating the U.S. soccer team legend. This relationship went public just three months after Melton split from her husband of 14 years. “Abby is deeply sensitive and kind,” Melton wrote in the fall of the two-time Olympic gold medalist, adding: “The kids call her an M&M because she looks tough on the outside but inside she’s really mushy and sweet.” Melton, who understood at the time that many of her 650,000 Facebook followers would be taken aback by her same-sex relationship, went on to explain: “I learn from her everyday about the woman I want to become. She is committed to her friends and family. She has this sense of country and honor and chivalry that feels beautiful to me. “She cares about the vulnerable- children and animals especially… “She’s just my favorite. My person.” And the feeling must clearly be mutual, based on this engagement confirmation. The blogger and author shared the above black-and-white photo of herself holding hands with the soccer star on Sunday, showing off their beautiful diamond engagement rings. “Abby and I have decided to hold hands forever. Love Wins,” Melton captioned the post. Wambach, who also filed for divorce in 2016, reposted the image on Instagram and added as her own caption: “Happy. #iseethemoonnow.” Outside of their social media messages, neither Melton or Wambach have said much about their romance. But it’s obviously going extremely well. “Feels like the world could use all the love it can get right now,” Melton also wrote back on November 13, making a subtle reference to the election of Donald Trump as President . “So today, I’m going to share with you my new love. Her name is Abby. You might recognize her from soccer. … She loves me for all the things I’ve always wanted to be loved for.” Last week, Melton posted an Instagram snapshot with her future fiancée, writing as a caption: “And then one day it all makes sense. Every bit of it. And you can finally see your past as one long, blessed road leading you home.
