Tulsa Cops Kill Unarmed Pastor Who Was Holding His Hands In The Air And white folks got the nerve to be mad that we won’t stand for their lil’ flag … Via DailyMail Tulsa police have released devastating dashboard camera footage of the fatal shooting of a local pastor Friday night, showing he was unarmed and had his hands in the air at the time of his death. Terence Crutcher was first tasered by Tulsa officer Tyler Turnbough and then shot once by officer Betty Shelby before he died in the hospital on Friday, police spokesperson Jeanne MacKenzie said. Police said that Crutcher approached the officers after his SUV broke down on the road, but refused commands to raise his hands and reached inside the vehicle. However the footage, which was released Monday, shows Crutcher did have his hands up as police approached. It shows four officers surrounding Crutcher by his car when one of them – identified as Shelby – shot him. F**k the police. The video of Terence’s death is on the following page. Please be warned that the footage is very graphic. Image via Facebook/Tulsa Police

SMH… Couple Overdoses With 4-Year-Old In Car A disturbing photo of a grossly irresponsible Ohio couple is going viral. Police report that James Acord and Rhonda Pasek of East Liverpool both overdosed while in a car with a 4-year-old in the backseat. FOX 59 reports: Police posted shocking pictures of two adults who overdosed in a car with a 4-year-old boy in the backseat. They’re hoping it sends a message to drug users to think twice before abusing drugs. The City of East Liverpool, Ohio posted the photos on their Facebook page Thursday after responding to a call of an incapacitated driver. According to a police report, an East Liverpool officer spotted a Ford Explorer driving erratically and then slamming on the brakes as it approached a stopped school bus that was dropping kids off. The SUV came to a stop in the middle of the road and the officer approached the vehicle. According to the officer, the driver’s head was bobbing, and his speech was nearly unintelligible. Police identified the driver as James Acord. He told the officer he was taking his passenger, Rhonda Pasek, to the hospital. Pasek was passed out in the front seat. Police say Acord attempted to drive away, so he reached into the vehicle, turned it off, and removed the keys. That’s when the officer noticed a 4-year-old boy in the back seat. The boy was later identified as Pasek’s son. The officer said Acord passed out as well, and EMS responded to the scene and administered Narcan. Both adults are facing child endangerment charges and the young boy is in the custody of Columbiana County Children’s Services. WOW, don’t do drugs kids.
We did not see this one coming. Elizabeth Gilbert, she who has been blessed by Oprah and inspired every girl in her 20’s to customize an Eat Pray Love vacation of their own, has followed her happiness and fallen in love with her best friend, Rayya Elias. Back in July, Gilbert confirmed that she and husband Jose Nunes – whom she famously met in Bali during the “Love” section of her best-selling book, Eat Pray Love – were separating. At the time, Gilbert chose not to reveal the reasons behind the couple’s split, but today the world-famous author wrote a note to her fans on Facebook, admitting that she has fallen for Elias, who was diagnosed with cancer this past spring. Dear Ones – There is something I wish to tell you today — something which I hope and trust you will receive with grace. This spring, I received news that would change my life forever. My best friend Rayya Elias was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer — a disease for which there is no cure. In the moment I first learned of Rayya’s diagnosis, a trap door opened at the bottom of my heart (a trap door I didn’t even know was there) and my entire existence fell straight through that door. From that moment forward, everything became about HER. I cancelled everything in my life that could be cancelled, and I went straight to her side, where I have been ever since. Something happened to my heart and mind in the days and weeks following Rayya’s diagnosis. Death — or the prospect of death — has a way of clearing away everything that is not real, and in that space of stark and utter realness, I was faced with this truth: I do not merely love Rayya; I am in love with Rayya. And I have no more time for denying that truth. The thought of someday sitting in a hospital room with her, holding her hand and watching her slide away, without ever having let her (or myself!) know the extent of my true feelings for her…well, that thought was unthinkable. Here is the thing about truth: Once you see it, you cannot un-see it. So that truth, once it came to my heart’s attention, could not be ignored. But what to do with this potentially life-shattering truth? Now let me tell you something I’ve learned from Rayya, over the fifteen years of our friendship. She is the most brave and honest person I know, and she has taught me more about courage and honesty than anyone I have ever met. Here is her mantra on truth, which I’ve heard her express so many times over the years, in so many difficult situations: “The truth has legs; it always stands. When everything else in the room has blown up or dissolved away, the only thing left standing will always be the truth. Since that’s where you’re gonna end up anyway, you might as well just start there.” So. Here is where we stand now: Rayya and I are together. I love her, and she loves me. I’m walking through this cancer journey with her, not only as her friend, but as her partner. I am exactly where I need to be — the only place I can be. Gilbert gently encouraged her fans not to send tips/stories/remedies for Elias’ cancer, because they have been overwhelmed by information in the past months. Instead, Gilbert requested that people send “whatever extra love” that’s being carried around in their hearts. “It will be felt,” she wrote. “And it will help. We will resonate with it, and we will thank you for it.”
Darren Seals Found Murdered In St. Louis Sad news coming out of Missouri, as one activist on the front lines of Ferguson has been found murdered. Via STLamerican : A locally known Ferguson activist who protested in the streets seeking justice for Michael Brown Jr.’s death was killed early Tuesday, September 6 in North St. Louis County. Darren Seals, 29, was a factory line worker and hip-hop musician. Following the death of Mike Brown – an unarmed black teenager who was fatally shot by a white Ferguson police officer – Seals protested in the streets of Ferguson. Seals was extremely vocal about issues surrounding Brown’s death and the St. Louis region. He was featured in national news outlets such as The Washington Post and Al Jazeera. Seals recently uploaded a Facebook Live video sharing his own encounter with the Ferguson Police Department, saying police drew guns on him and his younger brother. Seals described himself on his Twitter profile as a “Businessman, Revolutionary, Activist, Unapologetically BLACK, Afrikan in AmeriKKKa, Fighter, Leader.” According to the St. Louis County Police Department, at approximately 1:50 a.m. on September 6, its Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and Bomb and Arson Unit were requested to assist the City of Riverview for a vehicle fire in the 9600 block of Diamond Drive. Police say their investigation revealed that Seals suffered a gunshot wound before the car was set on fire. The incident is currently being investigated as a homicide. SMH! So sad. Now we know anything can happen to anyone when it comes to violent crime…but COME ON. Given his tendency to speak up against injustice and his activist position, it seems very likely that he specifically was targeted… But it’s far tooo early to speculate. For now, our thoughts are with his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace. Twitter
370 Kilos Of Cocaine Found a Coca-Cola Factory In France It’s long been rumored that Coca-Cola and cocaine had a very symbiotic relationship. Based on a new AP report, it might not be a rumor… Workers at a Coca-Cola factory in southern France opened a shipment of orange juice but found a huge shipment of cocaine instead. The Coca-Cola factory in the town of Signes, near the Mediterranean coast, produces concentrates for various drinks. A spokesman for Coca-Cola France says employees immediately notified police and judicial authorities have opened an investigation. Sacks containing 370 kilograms (815 pounds) of cocaine were hidden in a shipping container holding orange juice from Costa Rica, the spokesman said. The Marseille prosecutor’s office said Wednesday it opened an investigation into trafficking and importing illegal drugs. Coca leaves were reportedly used in the original Coca-Cola drink in the 19th century, although the company says cocaine has never been an “added ingredient.” Gonna be hard to believe that now… Image via Shutterstock Continue reading →
Come on! Murder suspect Brooklyn Traylor’s Facebook timeline boasts photos of him and at least one other inmate while they’re locked up in the Alcorn County Jail. “It’s one thing to have to hear from the DA that it’s going to be 2 or 3 years if it goes to trial, but it’s another thing when you see that her killer is actively on Facebook,” said Aaron Crum, the victim’s brother. Traylor was charged with killing Crum’s sister, Kris Ann Ledlow. Investigators said Taylor shot her in February during an attempted robbery at the convenience store where she worked. Locked up behind bars, Traylor brags on Facebook he’s making more money in jail than on the streets. “The impression I got from the post and the pictures is that he’s just living it up and having a good time,” said Crum. Crum was upset Traylor could even access Facebook and a cell phone. He said the family’s complaints to the DA and the jail have gone unanswered. WREG sat down with Alcorn County Sheriff Ben Caldwell to find out how this is happening. He denied his inmates are having one big party in jail. “I can assure you we don’t allow them to have parties in our jail, and again I understand the families concern. It’s my concern as well,” said Caldwell. The sheriff said there’s no way to prove Traylor is posting from jail. He said inmates sometimes give passwords to friends on the outside to post on their behalf, but he told WREG Traylor did have access to a cell phone at one point. Sheriff Caldwell said, “When that took place, he was placed in segregation. His visitation was taken away from him and some of his other privileges such as commissary access to television.” WREG exposed a history of problems at the Alcorn County correctional facilities three years ago. Last year the state of Mississippi removed bus loads of prisoners housed there because some inmates had their own keys to the jail while others could access drugs and cell phones. When Caldwell took over, he promised changes. The sheriff said keeping contraband out of the jail is one of his big challenges. Since March, he’s arrested two of his own jailers. He said he’s conducting more shakedowns and added more cameras inside and outside the jail. Caldwell showed WREG a picture of the evidence seized from a car caught circling a back fence near the rec yard at night. It’s an indication of what his officers are up against. The photo showed a dozen cellphones and chargers, ear buds, bags of what looks like marijuana, rolling papers, cigars, handheld video games, iPods and plastic bottles filled with liquor. Caldwell believed the suspects wanted to throw the items over a fence for some inmates to retrieve later. “They have nothing to do but sit back in our jail and think of ways to get things into our facility. We’re constantly fighting to keep that from happening,” the sheriff said. Caldwell said smuggling contraband into jails and prisons is a problem nationwide. He’s promised to stop it whenever possible because he knows the implications. “It just looks like one big joke to him. He’s talking about going from like pistol whipping to money making,” said the brother of the murder victim. The Crums said it hurts to see the teen arrested for killing this sister, daughter and mother of two girls, bragging on social media from jail while they grieve their tragic loss. “It’s a slap in our face. Kris isn’t here. She can’t defend herself anymore, so somebody has to and that’s why I’m here,” said Crum. Continue reading →
