Black Cincinnati Cop Airs Out Fellow White Officers For Violence Against Black Men The folks in Cincinnati know all too well about how police abuse their authority to do violence against black bodies. Last year, we mourned the death of Sam Dubose, an unarmed black man who was shot in the head by Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing. Tensing has since been charged with murder, but in the wake of the recent violence in Baton Rouge and Minnesota, one officer isn’t keeping his mouth shut about his white colleagues. Via Cincinnati The Cincinnati Police Department is reviewing a Facebook post by a black officer that referenced white officers “looking for a reason to kill a black man.” Cincinnati Police Chief Eliot Isaac said in a Thursday statement the post is being reviewed under the department’s “social media procedure and our rules and regulations.” The Facebook post, first reported by Fox19-WXIX TV, was made on an unknown date earlier this month, apparently after black men were killed by police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. In response, the Chief Issac had this to say: “The Cincinnati Police Department strives to maintain a culture of professionalism, as well as transparency and accountability for our actions. I am proud of the work of the men and women of the Cincinnati Police Department and our efforts to work collaboratively with the community,” Isaac wrote. “We are aware of a recent post to a commonly used social media site by one of our officers that refers to an interpretation of a law enforcement officer’s actions. The comments that were posted are under review as they relate to our Social Media procedure and our Rules and Regulations.” Sadly, we won’t be surprised to hear that this brotha has been suspended, fired, or worse. That said, we applaud his bravery for speaking out and we hope more cops follow right behind him. We need “good” police to help keep black people from being shot down like dogs in the street. Bobby Ramirez, a rapper known by the stage name of DTTX, died Monday afternoon after spending 11 days in a coma. He as 46 years old. According to various outlets, Ramirez was found unresponsive on July 7 on an especially hot day in Las Vegas. His family members tells TMZ that paramedics came across the rapper in an unresponsive state, with his body temperature hovering around 107 degrees. Ramirez also had severe burns on his body. DTTZ was taken to a nearby hospital at the time and placed on life support, where he remained until yesterday. Loved ones confirm that Ramirez had struggled with alcoholism for years, but they think his death was due to cardiac arrest and heat stroke. Ramirez grew up in Riverside, California before teaming up with fellow rapper ODM in the 1990s to form A Lighter Shade of Brown. The tandem made numerous successful albums together, including “Brown & Proud.” Their 1991 record, “On a Sunday Afternoon,” reached number-39 on the Billboard Hot 100 and climbed all the way to number-one in New Zealand. Following news of DTTX’s hospitalization in early July, the official Facebook page for A Lighter Shade Of Brown shared a handful of updates. The latest was posted on July 14 and read as follows: “God please help our brother. It’s in your hands.” We send our condolences to the family members, friends and loved ones of Bobby Ramirez. This week, we present you with a much more tragic but equally creepy image: The photo above was shared online yesterday by a Kentucky man named Saul Vazquez. Vazquez’s father is a truck driver, who captioned the pic: “I took this picture just few minutes ago from the cab of my truck it was an accident between Campton and Stanton on the service road just off of the mountain parkway, zoom in and pay attention to the shadow just off the top of the state trooper hat.” “All I say is I hope everyone involved is okay!!” Sadly, it’s been reported that a motorcyclist who was involved in the crash lost his life. Not surprisingly, that revelation led to the pic going instantly viral, as social media users speculated the elder Vazquez had actually captured a photo of an actual ghost. “I think there’s a person that passed away is watching his looking down on his own body,” wrote one Facebook user. “If that’s not proof of the soul, I don’t know what is. Nothing can convince you if you look at this and still deny it,” another commented. Of course, many others pointed out that the “spirit” could easily be a smudge on the lens of Vazquez’s camera. Public Enemy’s Professor Griff Denies Connection To Dallas Shooter Does Public Enemy’s Professor Griff have a connection with the Dallas shooter Micah Xavier Johnson ? According to TMZ the answer is HELL NO: Public Enemy’s Professor Griff is shutting down rumors he and Dallas shooter Micah Johnson were pals … saying a photo of the two shaking hands was only a one time thing. Social media exploded with the image Friday after the pic was uncovered on Johnson’s Facebook page. Griff tells TMZ he never knew Johnson personally and was shocked to see his own face pop up following the shooting.
