For country music fans, Faith Hill‘s performance of her new song “Come Home” was the highlight of the 2012 People’s Choice Awards Wednesday night on CBS. Granted, Taylor Swift won Favorite Country Artist, and deservedly so, but there’s no doubt Faith helped pave the way for such crossover stars like T-Swift. Last night, Hill returned to the national spotlight for just the third time in recent years, singing the song that she debuted at the CMA Awards in November. With the emotions of the song heavy on her face, Hill immersed herself in the ballad. “Come Home” is the lead single from her upcoming, untitled new album: Faith Hill – Come Home (Live at People’s Choice Awards)

Days after getting a permanent body marker of his Lord and Savior , Justin Bieber has gone on record with his feelings about God and religion. In the latest issue of V , Justin says his faith may be private – well, except for that new tattoo – but that doesn’t make it any less real or important. “A lot of people who are religious, I think they get lost,” Bieber tells the magazine. “They go to church just to go to church. I’m not trying to disrespect them, but for me, I focus more on praying and talking to Him. I don’t have to go to church.” An interesting take. Bieber also compares himself to undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather, but fortunately for any personal reasons . “Now that I’m on top, everyone wants to bring me down,” he says. “Everyone’s trying to tug at me and take my spot. Like Floyd Mayweather, he’s the best boxer in the world. Now he is a champion. Every time he goes to a fight now, people are like, ‘He’s going to lose this time.'” Hmmm… We’re not really familiar with these critics that are supposedly aiming to take Justin down, the guy is really as beloved as any celebrity out there. What do you think of this combative side to Bieber?
Hi, my name is Nicole, I’m 18 years old from Toronto! This is actually my third Bieber Experience I am writing. I was lucky enough to have this happen to me last year. (This is about the picture on the right) On December 20th, I was on Much Music to compete for tickets to see Justin Bieber at his “Home For The Holiday’s” Performance . I got second place but was still lucky enough to get a pair of floor seat tickets. Right after Much Music, I had found out that Justin arrived in Toronto and was doing rehearsals at the venue! So of course, we ran there and got there as soon as possible. No one was outside except Scrappy, then came along Alfredo and Allison; we knew we were in the right place. After saying a few things to the crew, they all went inside the venue. I put my ear against the door and all I could hear was Justin rehearsing! It was amazing of course! About an hour after three security guards including Kenny came out of the door. My heart started racing because I knew that wherever Kenny was, Justin was too. Just 5 minutes after security came out, Chaz, Ryan and Caleb walked out. Then Alfredo, Allison, Jeremy, and finally Justin! He said Hi and then quickly went into his car. We were all yelling, “Please Justin we’ve been waiting here in the cold, all we want is one picture!” Justin opened up his door and took pictures. I had asked Kenny to take the picture with my iPhone, and he didnt put on the flash, thats why its so dark! After Justin was done, he left and said bye. (This is about the picture on the left) The next day, my alarm went off at 8:30am because I had a huge day ahead of me! As soon as I got downtown, my friend and I were meeting up with two of my good friends downtown. We were walking to pick up something and we saw Justin’s security walk into Starbucks, and then we see his hairdresser Vanessa, and then Alfredo with three drinks in his hands. Not long after that, Justin comes out. I saw him through the window and I waved. I said, “Can we get a picture Justin?” Him and Kenny both said yes but they pointed to the side doors because they wanted us to go there. I quickly got there and as he was coming out he smiled and took pictures with three of my friends but two didn’t because about 15 screaming, obnoxious girls must of scared him and he went into his car. Later on we experienced a Never say Never moment! We saw a van drive by us and right away it pulled over to the side of the road. The doors open and Scooter Braun came out. He asked us who didn’t have tickets, and who did. Two of my friends didn’t have tickets, so Scooter took down my friend’s name and gave her Row 2 tickets! I was so happy for them! At the concert, tears did not stop falling from my eyes! It was the best performance I have ever seen Justin do! The night ended amazing by running into Scooter Braun again and thanking him one last time for the ticket’s he had given my friends! Never Say Never! -@nicolecampea You can watch some videos from last night here The rest is here: Hi, my name is Nicole, I’m 18 years old from Toronto! This…
My name is Valery and I’m 16. My dream came true on October 19th. I was the last OLLG of the My World Tour. Everything started when I was checking the dates of My World Tour and I saw my country (Venezuela, Latin America) in that list, I was extremely excited for the concert! First I bought my ticket but I was really sad and disappointed because I bought a ticket with a horrible view but was still excited. That week I saw on Twitter that a fan club was selling tickets for the concert with a better view, I sold my old ticket and I told my mom. She said that I wasn’t going because we didn’t know if that ticket was a real one or a fake one and I know she was right. Those days were the worst for me, I cried so much. The day of the concert I was so excited, my best friends and I traveled to Caracas (I live in another city named Valencia), we arrived and I couldn’t believe it. I was so thankful for being there. The concert started and I was freaking out! When I saw Justin for the first time I couldn’t believe it, he is so sexy and beautiful I couldn’t believe that I was seeing my inspiration, singing my favorite song ‘Never Let You Go’. I was crying and I saw a blond girl (the translator of the tour) with a tall man. I smiled at her while I was crying, I didn’t even know her. Then she comes to me and asks, “Do you wanna be the OLLG?” and I said “YEAHHH”. I wanted to jump, scream, cry. I didn’t know what to do or what to think, I was shaking so hard. Backstage I met Alfredo, I hugged him I met Scooter, Carin, Kenny and all the crew. I hugged them all and talked with Scooter, he’s so awesome! Carin took my hand and I walked onto the stage and I sat in that famous chair. Omg it was like a dream and when Justin gave me the flowers and touched my face and hugged me, he showed me how much I worth am worth. ONE BOY, ONE SONG, ONE NIGHT- CHANGED MY ENTIRE LIFE! I’m so thankful with my God and I know how blessed I am! Beliebers never lose your faith, never give up AND NEVER SAY NEVER. God bless! xo See the article here: My name is Valery and I’m 16. Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is becoming increasingly well-known to non-football fans, and it’s not just because of what he does on the football field. Tebow has not only turned around his team’s losing ways since becoming the starter by helping the Broncos win 8 of their last 9 games, but he has been an attractive promoter of Christianity. Everybody Loves Tim Tebow Here! With Tebow being the most vocal supporter of God in the NFL, how could God not love Tebow a little more? The degree of God’s love is not debatable, and it’s not likely that God actually loves Tim Tebow more than any other football player or human being for that matter. But if God did love Tebow more, here are some reasons why we’d understand… Christianity Now Trendy? Tim Tebow has literally made praising God trendy by “Tebowing” before each game. This probably wasn’t his intent, because Tebow just kneels down to pray briefly. However, the more the Broncos won, the more people took notice. Striking a prayer pose on one knee in random places became known as “Tebowing,” and people often share these images on social networks like Twitter and Facebook. Give Thanks During his post-game interviews, Tim Tebow thanks his Savior for the victory before he acknowledges anyone else. Instead of focusing on stats, or his great performance, Tebow gives all praise to God. Not Too Preachy Tebow received a great deal of criticism last year for appearing in a pro-life commercial with his mother. The ad ran during the Super Bowl, and pro-choicers criticized his decision to stand on this side of this faith/political issue. Tebow consistently speaks of his faith in interviews, but he hasn’t received a wave of backlash, because he’s celebrating his beliefs instead of imposing them on others. Building A Following The more Tim Tebow leads the Denver Broncos to victory, the more people wonder how helps his team win games that they seemed to have no way to win. Commentators and fans recognize that there must be a devine force, and that’s slowly and effectively showing people the power of Christ. On A Mission Tim Tebow is the son of missionaries, and earlier this year he followed in their footsteps by spreading Christianity in the Philippines. While some NFL players spend their off time getting into trouble, Tebow preaches to others by talking about what means the most to him.
No, the Puss in Boots you’re thinking of is not yet on DVD. That film, which is actually pretty fun [1], feature the voices of Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek and Zach Galifianakis and is a spin off of DreamWorks Animation’s massively successful Shrek series. Presidential candidate, Rick Perry, has taken President Obama to task again in his newest ad. Texas governor Perry, promises to protect America from Obama’s “war on religion.” President Obama has done a number of things that deeply offended Christians, namely his attack on the faith, marriage and more recently, publicly chastising the U.S. Congress for a simple, but poignant measure to reaffirm America’s… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Judiciary Report Discovery Date : 06/12/2011 22:51 Number of articles : 2
Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus have very different sounds (country vs. pop); different looks (blonde vs. brunette); and different philosophies on where they stand as celebrities. Cyrus – who most recently came under fire for making a joke about marijuana – has made it clear that she just wants to be a typical teenager whose occupation happens to make her rich and famous. “My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act because I’m still figuring that out myself,” Miley told Harper’s Bazaar a few months ago. “To take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not.” Swift, conversely, is happy to embrace her status as a role model . She understands it comes with the territory. At the Billboard Women of the Year Awards on Friday, Taylor referenced Faith Hill in an interview with Katie Couric, saying: “For me, when Faith Hill performed on an awards show, everything mattered… everything she said said, did, wore I tried to copy it. That’s what little girls do, so there is a big responsibility and I take it very seriously.” Two artists. Two contrasting points of view. On whose side do you feel? Do you believe Taylor and Miley are role models and should act as such?
