Prince: Police Reveal New Details Into His Death

As fans mourn the death of music icon and superstar Prince, they can all agree on one thing. He went too soon. Prince was found unresponsive in an elevator at his Minnesota home yesterday morning at age 57, and the world has been pondering the reason for the star’s death since the news broke. The Carver County Sheriff’s Office held a press conference today and divulged new details surrounding the singer’s untimely demise.  “The information we have for now is he was last seen at 8 p.m. on Wednesday night,” Sheriff Olson told reporters. “Staff members at Paisley Park were unable to locate Prince yesterday, and went to check on him.” He added that police responded to the 911 emergency call at 9:43 a.m. Prince was pronounced dead 24 minutes later, at 10:07 a.m. View Slideshow: Prince: Stars React to the Death of Iconic Singer While the sheriff said the case was only 29 hours old and continuing to evolve, he said there was “no reason to believe this was a suicide.” He also revealed that there were “no obvious signs of trauma” on the body, and that Prince was wearing pants and a shirt when he was found. Earlier today, the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy on Prince’s body, which was later released to his family. They indicated that results of the toxicology scan could take weeks, and they will continue to investigate. This morning, TMZ reported that six days before his death, Prince was treated for an overdose of the prescription pain killer Percoset , which he was said to be taking for hip pain. Michelle McNamara Dies; Wife of Patton Oswalt Was 46

Michelle McNamara, the writer and founder of website True Crime Diary and the wife of Patton Oswalt, tragically passed away in her sleep at home in Los Angeles on Thursday. She was 46. A rep for the actor and comedian has confirmed this news to The Associated Press. No cause of death has been given at this time. Oswalt and McNamara got married in 2005 and welcomed a daughter named Alice in 2009. She turned seven years old earlier this month. McNamara was best known professionally for writing about true crime. She was a graduate of both the University of Notre Dame (for undergrad) and University of Minnesota, where she earned a Master’s in Creative Writing). In 2007, she started a blog titled True Crime Diary in which she wrote about old and new unsolved cases. She told Suicide Girls at the time that the idea for this blog came from Oswalt and that “I wanted to get more involved in the cases than fueling my own curiosity.’ View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Passed Away in 2016: Gone, But Not Forgotten In the wake of this awful news, a number of celebrities have taken to Twitter to express sympathy. “My heart goes to the Oswalt family,” wrote Elijah Wood, while Kevin Smith added: “Oh my God, @pattonoswalt – my heart breaks for you & your family’s devastating loss. If you need any help, I’m here.” Margaret Cho tweeted, “I LOVE YOU – I am here for you always @pattonoswalt xo” and Billy Eichner shared a similar sentiment: “I love you @pattonoswalt. We all do.”  Oswalt has yet to publicly address her death. The comedian last tweeted about Prince’s passing, which also happened on April 21. We send our prayers and thoughts to McNamara’s family, friends and loved ones.

Man Arrested For Sneaking Soda Into Fast Food Water Cup We’ve all done it at least once and you KNOW it’s wrong when you do …but we’ve never heard of anyone calling the law over something so trivial. An 18-year-old boy has been arrested in Arkansas after filling a water cup with fountain soda instead at a local McDonald’s . Via 40/29 : Cody Morris, 18, was arrested Monday for putting soda inside a water cup at a Springdale McDonald’s, refusing to return the soda, according to the police report sent to 40/29 News. The manager told police he tried to stop the suspects from driving away, but he was hit by their car, according to the report. The manager for the McDonald’s at 520 S. Thompson St. called police Monday to report a robbery, according to the report. The manager told police 3 people went through the drive thru and asked for 3 large waters. Those 3 parked, went into the restaurant, dumped out the water and then filled the cups with soda, the manager told police. The manager asked the 3 people to return the soda. Two of them did, but one did not, the manager told police. Then, the manager stood behind the suspect’s car and tried to stop them from leaving, according to the report, but the car reversed and hit the manager. The manager tried to get the keys out of the ignition and was hit on the hand and then by the vehicle again, the manager told police. Okay…who was this manager playing captain save-a-soda? Of course, the boys definitely should not have pulled something so stupid. BUT was the $1.25 for the carbonated drink serious enough for this person to go running after them, block their “getaway car” and try to take the keys out of the ignition???

Chyna is dead. I lack empathy. As previously reported rumors recently swirled that a fed up Kim Fields left the show because producers refused to edit out Kenya’s nasty “Chrissy” gay rumors about her husband. According to the actress turned “Dancing With The Stars” competitor however, all decisions about the show were SOLELY made based on her family and career—NOT Kenya. It's been more than a week since Rob Kardashian first announced his engagement to Blac Chyna, but we still haven't heard any formal words of congratulations from his family. He hinted that all was good with his sister Kim Kardashian last week when he shared a video she sent him jokingly crying and saying that she needed to talk to him. On the other hand, his mother Kris Jenner snapped at reporters who asked her thoughts on the engagement. But yesterday, Rob and Blac were caught by paparazzi in Los Angeles, who inquired about his family's reaction to their news. “My family is very happy,” Rob confirmed. They are??? Then why the hell haven't they said anything? The Kardashian-Jenner clan uses social media as a primary mode of communication, so their silence on an announcement as grand as Rob's engagement is highly suspect. It's no secret that Rob's sisters have had a difficult time accepting his relationship with Blac, particularly since Kylie Jenner has had a very public beef with her for more than a year. Even though Rob has made it clear that he was serious about Blac, she was still excluded from the birthday bash Kris Jenner threw for her son last month. It's possible that members of the family have expressed their joy to Rob privately, but when it comes to the Kardashians, if they can't get publicity for their actions, what's the point?
