Last week, much of the Duggar family traveled west to visit Jinger Duggar in Los Angeles . It was the Duggars’ first pilgrimage to the City of Angels, and the entire Counting On clan made the trip — with two important exceptions. Jill Duggar stayed home with her kids, and her younger sister Joy-Anna embarked on a different kind of journey. Joy was curiously quiet on social media for most of the time that her family was in California, which led to rumors of a falling out. But now, we know she had simply set out on an adventure — one that made it very difficult to update her social media pages. Earlier this week, Joy posted the photo below to the joint Instagram account she shares with Austin. “Colorado,” the mother of one captioned the pic. “Y’all! I got to come with the guys this year on their Elk hunting trip! It’s freezing cold and we have already done a ton of hiking, but we’re excited cuz we’ve already spotted some elk!” she added. “Can’t wait for opening morning! It is absolutely GORGEOUS here!” While it’s unclear if Joy actually wielded a weapon herself, the revelation that she participated in an elk hunt didn’t sit well with some fans. “Why do you like to kill animals?I could not!” commented one such follower. Several others voiced their displeasure with Joy’s heavily-armed camping trip, but in the end, she seemed to have more supporters than detractors. “From one Colorado hunting woman to another, I appreciate you!” wrote one fan. ”I have lived here my whole life but my husband and I began hunting together 3 years ago,” the commenter continued. “Such an amazing experience and there’s just something about being surrounded by the beauty of Gods creation that really relaxes you! Cannot wait to get out there for deer season in just a few weeks! Good luck!!” Another fan pushed back against Joy’s critics, pointing out that raising one’s own food — by any means — generally cuts back on environmental waste: “If anything hunting is better for the world. Less packaging, zero plastic waste, zero machines for processing,” the follower commented. “As long as they’re eating what they hunt, what’s the problem. You can’t be against killing animals but not against destroying the environment.” One person who didn’t feel the need to weigh in on the debate was Joy. While she posted several updates on the trip she kept her comments apolitical, preferring instead to gush about her doting husband: “This Man! He has tucked me in every night, given me his blanket so I’d be warm, took my heavy backpack when I was getting tired, encouraged me when I was struggling to finish hiking up the steep trail, he is such a gentleman and helps encourage me to achieve me goals and dreams!” wrote Joy-Anna. “I love you so much, Austin Martyn!” As fans know, Joy-Anna suffered a miscarriage  back in July, and she’s reportedly struggled with depression in the months since. Last month, we learned that Kanye West had banned North West from wearing makeup , even though her family's brand is built on beauty products. It turns out that his sudden new priorities extend to his wife, too. As you can see in this video, Kanye tried to ban Kim from wearing her planned outfit to the Met Gala because it was “too sexy.” Ugh. On this week's Keeping Up With The Kardashians , Kanye tells Kim at the last minute that her Met Gala outfit is hurting his Man Feelings(TM). “A corset is like a form of underwear,” Kanye asserts while speaking to Kim about his misgivings. Yes and no. Bras were first invented by a woman to replace the corset, but these days, corsets are often worn on their own. “It’s hot,” Kanye acknowledges, but proceeds to frame this as some sort of bad thing. He complains: “It’s, like, it’s hot for who though?” It's for whom , though avoiding speaking like Cookie Monster is the least of Kanye's problems. See, Kim has been working on her Thierry Mugler corset for about a year. Kanye and his “dragon energy” could huff and puff all they liked, but she's not changing her outfit. We're pretty sure that he knew who she was when he married her. “You are my wife,” Kanye states pointlessly. “And it affects me when pictures are too sexy.” That sounds like his problem. We can't imagine whine it should change Kim's behavior. “You built me up to be this like sexy person, and confidence, and all this stuff,” Kim points out. “And just because you are on a journey and you’re on your transformation,” she continues. “Doesn’t mean that I am in the same spot with you.” Very well said. See, Kanye has decided that he's now in a place, spiritually, where his wife's family's brand of being hot and tantalizing isn't for him. He says that, during his time as a rapper, he delighted in all of these unclothed women. Now, he's decided that these aren't for him — and even claims that seeing these women was impacting his soul, somehow. It's fine for him to believe that or to avoid looking at porn or whatever. But banning North from wearing makeup and trying to discourage his wife from living her fashion dreams is not fine. That's not about him anymore. Usually, Duggar controversies are pretty predictable in nature. They tend to come in one of two varieties: There are the instances in which a member of the family intentionally posts something controversial on social media, such as when Derick Dillard bullied a transgender teen and was fired by TLC as a result. And then there are those cases in which a member of the family behaves in such a way that one is reminded they never learned the basics of human interaction as a result of their profoundly sheltered upbringing. For examples of this, look at any aspect of Josh Duggar’s dating profiles . But the latest scandal involving Jill Duggar is sort of an uneasy combination of these two previously-established types: On Monday, Jill posted the above photo to her Instagram page. “Today has been a really hard day as I watched a couple do what no one should ever have to do…bury their little baby,” she captioned the pic “Although our hearts break here on earth, we look forward to the day when we will see Jesus face to face, he will wipe every tear from our eyes and we will be reunited with those we miss so much,” Jill continued. “Until our race on earth is over, let us live intentionally, glorify God through our lives, serve Him well, fulfilling His purpose for our us until we draw our last breath.” Yes, Jill posted a photo of an infant’s casket. And it would be a massive understatement to say that the decision didn’t sit well with many of her fans. While Jill unquestionably posted something controversial on social media, it seems she did so not with the intention of stirring the pot, but rather as a result of a major blind spot with regard to proper social media etiquette. Jill’s heart may have been in the right place, but followers made it clear that they found her post to be in poor taste: “Not everything has to be an Instagram post, even with the purest intentions. This is insanely tacky of you to post,” one person wrote, as pointed out by OK! magazine. “Why would you post a picture of someone’s baby in a casket? You are so tacky,” another fan added. “Hopefully she got permission to post this,” a third commenter remarked. “With the Duggars being in the spotlight & [having] more than the average person viewing their profiles, it’s certainly not appropriate to post stuff like this unless given permission.” Other fans were even harsher in their criticism: “This is someone else’s deepest heartbreak. I hope you rethink this post and delete it,” one user commented. “Oh boy hope you rethink this post…this is such a private heartbreaking thing…not your story to tell,” another wrote. Many also pointed out that the post is poorly-timed, as it may well trigger painful memories for one of Jill’s sisters. Joy-Anna Duggar suffered a miscarriage in July, and is still so distraught by the loss that was forced to leave Amy Duggar’s baby shower in distress. Again, we imagine Jill’s suffering on behalf of her friends is genuine — but her post may not have been the best way to express her compassion. This weekend lots of celebrities made their way into D.C. for Howard University’s Homecoming . Dave East came through and performed at Yardfest and Lore’l jokes with him that people weren’t sure if they were looking at him or Method Man. If you haven’t seen the new Hulu series Wu-Tang: An American Saga it’s definitley a must see and Dave out did himself. He shares with Lore’l and Angie how it was preparing for this role and even how difficult it was switching back to himself after being wrapped up in this character. Georgetown Cancels Fabolous Homecoming Performance Due To Domestic Abuse Allegations

An educational institution recently rescinded their invitation to have him at their homecoming festivities. The Brooklyn MC was scheduled to perform at Georgetown University’s “Hoya Madness” last weekend. XXL is reporting that Fab’s invite was cancelled due to allegations of domestic violence. School officials released a formal statement explaining their position. “After engaging with students, we have cancelled the musical act for 2019 Hoya Madness. We take domestic violence very seriously and were unaware of the charges against the entertainer when he was booked through a third-party entity. We are committed to enhanced vetting of future performers and doing all that we can to support a safe and respectful community.” Earlier this year Fabolous plead guilty to one count of harassment for threatening and menacing his longtime girlfriend Emily Bustamante and her father. He originally faced up to 20 years for allegedly punching her so hard that she had to have her front teeth removed. Weeks later footage surfaced of him brandishing a sharp object at Emily and her family members outside of their New Jersey home. You can see the video of the altercation below.
