I didn’t think Mormons celebrated modern holidays, or is that Jehovahs, I can’t tell the door to door friends I like to traumatize by answering my door nude, or in condom, apart…..I just know they are the fucking worst when they come knocking and projecting their bullshit religion on us in some pilgrimage that offends me….you know kind of like how the Europeans came into North America with their bullshit ideas that they decided to shove down the throats of the Indians before stealing their land…. Not that Julianne Hough is still a Mormon, I assume she’s turned her back on that church after having a sexual relationship with her brother, as Mormons do, you know keep it in the church, and family…when your family has decided you are both dance partners at the age of 9 and decide to fully commit to that…and you are sent to the UK to live in this foreign land with your brother to further your dance training…something that should have ended in her being a stripper…but instead got her to Hollywood…where she chose the fuck Cokehead Ryan Seacrest cuz he looked like her gay brother….life… Unless this is just Rumspringa….you know those Mormons dress like Pilgrims….so it makes sense that she’d be out there being naughty on Thanksgiving for her people. If you could rob from the rich and give to the poor, who would you rob? Yeah. Us too but on this episode of Extra Butter with Xilla Valentine we go inside the movie Robin Hood starring Jamie Foxx, Taren Egerton and Jamie Dornan. While this isn’t a modern update of Robin Hood it is told like you never seen before. Think of Batman but set in the dark ages. Taren plays Robin, Lord of Loxley who gets sent to war right after finding the love of his life who introduces him to the concept of taking from the rich and giving to the poor. Years pass and he comes back home a war-hardened Crusader only to find his palace in Loxley a shell of it’s former self. While looking for his once wife he runs into a Moorish commander played by Jamie Foxx to mount an audacious revolt against the corrupt English crown and the Sheriff of Nottingham in what is billed as a thrilling action-adventure packed with gritty battlefield exploits, mind-blowing fight choreography, and some sick arrow work. During our conversation, I asked Jamie Foxx if he could rob one of his family friends and give their money to the poor who would it be? “Floyd, I’d rob Floyd! I know where Floyd going to be!” As he burst into a spot on impression of the Money Team CEO and the best pound for pound boxer in the world. Jamie continues by pulling Taren into this hypothetical robbery plot, “We would both have to rob Floyd. Floyd has so much. Floyd would pull out a 40 million dollar check. It’s crazy.” Words don’t do it justice you really need to watch the video which is playing above. We also chatted about Rocketman the Elton John biopic that has it’s star Taren Egerton freaking out until he remembered a mantra and helped him out tremendously. Taren said, “In the run up to Rocketman I was slightly freaking out about it and someone just said to me ‘stay in the day.’ Stay in the day is a really good phrase I think because one, it rhymes. Two because you can’t tackle the whole beast. If you think about the whole beast you’re going to freak yourself out. Whereas if you chop off a leg and deal with that, then take a tail… You know you got to stay in the day.” Jamie loved the mantra going on to say he took a similar approach of being prepared for his movie Spawn as he did with Robin Hood which is a fun flick that hits theaters everywhere Thanksgiving.
About 400 years ago, a group of pasty Brits boarded a rickety vessel and set sail for the New World with the goal of establishing a colony where everyone wouldn’t just simultaneously drop dead the instant the temperature dropped below 40. Unlike more recent immigrant caravans, of course, the Pilgrims earned a permanent place in the collective memory of Americans. We probably don’t need to tell you the rest of the story: The Pilgrims had a nosh with the Wampanoags and now, Americans get a four-day weekend, at least a quarter of which is to be spent stepping on the necks of octogenarians in hope of grabbing a slightly marked-down physical copy of Red Dead Redemption II so that the nephew you don’t even like will have something to open on Christmas morning. To call the tradition beautiful would be like saying the Grand Canyon is a pretty big hole, or Brett Kavanaugh enjoys the occasional brewski. More than Mount Rushmore, CTE, and civilian-owned military-grade assault weapons combined, Thanksgiving weekend is America. So it’s nice to see Meghan Markle reppin’ the Stars and Stripes and proudly flippin’ the bald eagle to her in-laws by celebrating Turkey Day right in the heart of King George country. Now, to be fair, Meg probably won’t be posting up in a recliner and gnawing on a drumstick while the Bears take on the Lions. While that sort of behavior is customary on this side of the pond, Meghan is a duchess now, and finishing off a twelver of Natty Ice during the late game would probably be considered a ” breach of royal protocol ” or something. And so, she marked the occasion in more suitable fashion by stopping by West London’s Hubb Community Kitchen to applaud the workers for their efforts and whip up a batch of her signature stuffing (which the Brits call “chuzzlewit” … we assume). Furthering her reputation as the least-lameass member of the royal family, Pregnant Meg genuinely seemed to enjoy her visit to the soup kitchen and didn’t once raise a kerchief to her mouth in response to any odors that may have been emanating from the poors. Of course, this isn’t Meghan’s first Thanksgiving in the UK, but it is her first with a royal title. As such, there was some scuttlebutt regarding whether she would mark the occasion at all, and whether the famously vitriolic British tabloid press would give her any flak if she did. So far, no shade has been thrown, but you can bet Meghan’s evil half-sister Samantha can’t wait to talk her signature brand of semi-literate trash. Man, America really got stuck with the dud Markle, didn’t we? Hey, Brits, how about we tear up this pesky Declaration of Independence, and you guys give us Meghan back in exchange for Sam? Deal? Last week, we reported that Alaskan Bush People star Ami Brown is grieving the sudden loss of her estranged mother . Unfortunately, Ami’s estrangement from her extended family did not end with her late mother’s passing. Apparently she — like the rest of the Browns — was a no-show for own mother’s funeral. The memorial service for Earlene Branson took place over the weekend. RadarOnline reports that Ami Brown did not show for her mother’s funeral, and neither did anyone else from her side of the family. Ami’s brother, Les, informed the tabloid of all of the details. “The service for my mother was very low-key but beautiful,” Les shared. He is still grieving the loss of his mother. “The Browns,” Les reveals. “Did not show up.” Ami has been estranged from her mother and brother for a long time, despite some plans to reconnect — plans that never came together. Even so, memorials are often where even bitter relatives come together. Les shares that this was not the case when his mother was laid to rest. He says that he saw no sign that Ami even cared. “There was no card,” Les reports. “Nor,” Less says, was there “any sympathy shown whatsoever.” It is generally traditional to purchase a bouquet of flowers if you have the cash but cannot attend the memorial. Sometimes, even corporations will buy a floral arrangement for a former employee’s wake. Despite years without any real contact, Ami’s brother still wants to try to reconnect — even though it is too late for their late mother. “I would love to see her,” Les admits. Les wants to see her in person “and tell her that I love her,” he shares. “And,” Les concludes, he wants to tell her “that I have missed her.” We don’t know that she’ll read what he had to say, but we hope that she knows. We would of course never judge anyone for cutting off contact, in the past or present, with a toxic adult relative. Families are incredibly complicated, and some people’s gripes with parents are extremely justified. We don’t know everything behind Ami’s estrangement from her folks. However, one source of conflict between Ami and her mother (and brother) is known: Billy Brown. When Ami was 15, she ran away with Billy — who was, at the time, about 26. Yikes. Not only has this been a sore point for her family, but to this day, Les holds Billy accountable for the continued estrangement. Of course, as saddened as Ami must be by her mother’s death, the Browns have something more positive on their minds. Noah Brown will soon welcome an Alaskan Bush Baby — that is, a baby. He and his wife, Rhain Alisha, whom he married just a few months ago, are expecting their first child. Ami is of course excited about being a grandmother to what’s sure to be a precious baby. We only wish that Earlene Branson had lived to learn of the news. Would it have been nice if Ami and her family had shown up for the memorial? Maybe. Or maybe it would have been more awkward than skipping it. There’s a lot of lost time, and tensions can run high when tragedy strikes. They may have feared that, in the eyes of some, they would not have been welcome because they waited too late. We hope that one day, at least, Ami’s children can connect with their cousins. Teen Mom OG serves as a great reminder that baby daddy drama can be forever. Both Bristol and Cheyenne grappled with very different types of baby daddy drama. And Amber, who gave the episode its title, was taking up boxing as therapy to ward off yet another Instagram meltdown . Bristol was grappling with baby daddy Levi Johnson’s refusal to sign off on Tripp’s Dancing With The Stars: Junior contract. “Levi refused to sign this contract,” Bristol claimed. “Saying that he has zero interest in the money that Tripp makes.” Bristol accused: “He’s had this document for two months now.” “All these triggers with my baby daddies…they all come from money,” Bristol lamented. She then confessed: “I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong to have all these terrible relationships.” Sometimes, terrible people date terrible people. Water always finds its level. So why was Bristol’s first baby daddy balking? Levi himself, who was kind of entertaining for a while in 2008 but never deserved to be played by Justin Gaston on HBO’s Game Change , explains. “Don’t play that on me…you sent me a piece of paper with no contract to look at, so I didn’t know what I’m signing,” Levi countered. Levi said: “That’s not how it works.” Bristol, however, thinks that Levi is missing the urgency of the situation. “Tripp’s not being paid until that contract is signed,” Bristol grumbled. In the end, Levi did sign it, and surprised her with cash for half of the plane ticked back to Alaska. Then there was Catelynn and Tyler, who were having some communication issues as they discussed going to couples counseling. “He’s bad at saying what he needs to say in the right way,” Catelynn noted. “He just comes across really sharp,” she explained. “I’m a feeler, so I feel that intense like, holy s–t, someone’s pissed off,” she continued. Catelynn was quick to clarify: “It’s nothing huge or detrimental to our relationship.” Being hypersensitive to the moods of others, especially to tone of voice, is an extremely common symptom of PTSD. One of the issues that they were having was how Nova had refused to leave Catelynn’s side for so long. They were concerned about her separation anxiety when Catelynn left to do a show about adoption. Ultimately, their biggest worry as a couple was about continuing to process old wounds. Having given up their child for adoption when they were just 16 and then remaining together as a couple has really left some emotional scars. They did resolve that they can get through anything, including bringing up these sensitive topics in therapy. Amber Portwood spent some time letting off some steam with some boxing. She has taken up the sport as therapy for her bipolar depression and her anger issues. After Amber’s latest tirade in which she threatened violence and used slurs, it’s a relief to see that she has an outlet. “I got a four month old baby!” Amber shouted after So this would have been filmed in, what, early-ish September? Amber had confessed to partner Andrew Glennon that she was not an athletic child. She then went on to hold her own while boxing. Afterward, she was very emotional as she spoke to Andrew. “Meeting you, and the people that you surround yourself with, uplifts me to know that I can do more in life,” she confessed through tears. That is very sweet. Though her recent social media tirade shows that she still has a lot of ground to cover. Cheyenne Floyd was having baby daddy drama, just like Bristol. Unlike Bristol, her drama also involved her current beau. These problems with boyfriend Zach came up when baby daddy Cory Wharton wanted her to bring their daughter Ryder to visit him. “I feel like Cory is more of a priority than me,” Zach accused. “I just feel like the way you treat him versus you treat me,” Zach said. “It’s not the same. There’s no comparison.” In Zach’s eyes: “It’s almost like you’re more so in a relationship with him.” “If I had a baby’s mother and she asked me to go out there and spend time, you would not be OK with that,” he suggested. If you’ve ever whispered break up with him at a television screen, you know how rare it is for people to listen. Cheyenne, however, did just that. She did not have time to poultice his bruised ego. She’s a mom. “Right now, that’s my focus,” Cheyenne explained. “Ensuring that I have a good coparenting relationship with Cory.” She explained that it’s important “that Ryder has a good relationship with her dad and his family.” “So,” she concluded. “If my relationships, if my friendships … if my personal relationships suffer because of it, I will take that right now.” Cheyenne and Zach are broken up, at least for now. Like her sisters, Jessa Duggar is frequently mom-shamed and just generally bullied online. Everything from Jessa’s messy house to the pace at which she homeschools her kids has been the subject of criticism. And apparently, Jess is getting fed up. To be fair, the Duggars have done much to deserve criticism in recent years. In fact, it’s hard to imagine any other reality stars would still be on television following something like the Josh Duggar sex scandals. But as In Touch Weekly points out , the anti-Duggar sentiment has now reached such a fever pitch that fans are ragging on the family for their choice of restaurant. Yes, the Duggars headed to Marketplace Grill on Sunday in order to celebrate the birthday of Justin Duggar. MPG has been the birthday destination of choice for the Duggars for as far back as anyone can remember. In fact, the Duggars seem to frequent the place even when they’re not celebrating anything of note. It’s not all that surprising, as there probably aren’t too many family dining options in Springdale, Arkansas. Despite that — and the fact that, like everyone else with sufficient funds, the Duggars can eat wherever the hell they want — Jessa took some flak from a fan when she posted about Justin’s birthday on Instagram. “Do you guys ever eat anywhere besides Marketplace Grill?” the follower asked. Jessa’s response was both simple, and dripping with sarcasm: “No we don’t,” she replied. Not terribly scathing, but that’s downright savage by the standards of the Duggar gals, who generally just ignore online snark. S an Mateo County Sheriff’s Department is trying to cover up for its officers who were involved in the October Taser killing of unarmed Chinedu Valentine Okobi , a 36-year-old father and Morehouse College graduate, according to Okobi’s sister. Police Narrative Of Jemel Roberson’s Killing Contradicts Eyewitnesses’ Ebele Okobi took to Facebook on Sunday after she and other family members had a private viewing late last week of the police arrest videos, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. The police videos “were shocking because they contradicted, in every single particular, the statement that the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office released and to which San Mateo District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe referred in multiple news outlets after my brother’s murder,” said Okobi, Facebook’s public policy director for Africa, in her post . On Oct. 3, the sheriff’s department reported that an officer confronted Chinedu Okobi running in and out of traffic in the city of Millbrae. He allegedly assaulted a deputy who called for backup. Four other officers responded, and at least one of the officers killed Okobi with a Taser. Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead continued to fill in the blanks about what happened during the time jump. We started things off with Carol and Henry finding Daryl in the woods living rough. Not one to show up without an ulterior motive, Carol said that she needed Daryl to coach Henry into becoming a solid fighter and a stand up young man. Daryl was against this because he was happy staying alone with his trusty four-legged companion. Oh yes, Daryl got himself a dog, and it’s smarter than you would think. In any case, Carol put her manipulation head on, and got the dog trapped, fully knowing that Henry would help free the companion. It went to plan and allowed Daryl to see that there was a lot to like about Henry. Daryl subsequently opened up about why he was out there in the open without any human interaction. He was skeptical that Rick was actually dead because there was no body. He made a great point, and it proved that even though he and Rick had their differences before the big event, Daryl was still going to be there for his friend. Elsewhere, Jesus and Aaron were on what appeared to be a date when they noticed a flare lighting up the sky in the distance. It was Rosita, and she claimed that Eugene was locked up in a barn after they heard walkers whispering. Rosita was adamant that they needed to get their ally back. However, Jesus and Aaron were all about getting Rosita to safety because their friend was safe in a barn and she was a bit worse for wear. Back at the Hilltop, we learned that Maggie took off with Georgie with the aim of building a new community, and Jesus was left in charge. Jesus was struggling to get acclimated with leading the people, and it was starting to rub Tara the wrong way. Without guidance, the place would fall apart. Jesus resolved that he needed to switch things up if he wanted to prove that he was the right candidate for the job. Meanwhile, Michonne, Siddiq, and D.J. traveled with Magna, Yumiko, Kelly, Connie, and Luke towards the Hilltop. Despite the newbies claiming that they were thankful, Michonne took a chance on them, she stopped them in their tracks. She only went along with them to see if their story checked out, presumably so she could get some revenge if they were liars. The biggest surprise was that Michonne had no idea Maggie left the Hilltop behind. It confirmed that the relationship between the communities was hanging by a thread. Siddiq had to tell his boss about it, and she was not impressed because she thought they were closer. In the end, Daryl, Carol, and Henry arrived alongside the new group at the Hilltop, and everyone got ready to go on the mission to save Eugene’s life. What are your thoughts on the episode? In these wildfires, so many others cannot say the same. Evacuating her Thousand Oaks home has reportedly made her eager to stop taking things for granted — and to get engaged. HollywoodLife reports that the horrific wildfires in California have spurred Britney to action — and possibly to get engaged. The insider says that, in the aftermath of the Thousand Oaks fire that forced Britney to evacuate her home, she doesn’t want to “waste a moment.” “Britney has been very shaken up by the fires,” the source explains. She had to evacuate her home on November 13 as the raging fire tore through, consuming entire towns. All told, the California fires have left more than 80 dead, and there are at least 1,000 people missing or unaccounted for. Britney knows this. “She’s feeling so lucky to be out of danger with her family,” the insider reveals. Britney and her loved ones are safe and she’s really living up to the title of one of her best songs — “Lucky.” “But,” the source notes. “It’s still very emotional for her.” Of course! This news has been heartbreaking for us all. “She’s going to be making a lot of donations to help the victims,” the insider claims. (That would be wonderful, but let’s not put words in someone’s mouth or make promises on their behalf) “And,” the source continues. “She’s making a point to let everyone in her life know how much she loves them.” That includes her wonderful sons , Sean Preston and Jayden. But they’re not the only ones she loves. … She and her hunky boyfriend Sam Asghari are extremely close. “She and Sam are already like two peas in a pod,” the insider affirms. Obviously, Britney and Sam are a beautiful, loving couple. We don’t know that they’re looking to change anything about their relationship. What’s the rush? And, given how recently Britney was reminded of the staggering financial cost of past marriages (thanks, Kevin Federline), she may not be in a hurry. We’re not suggesting that Sam Asghari is a mistake. We’re just saying that he and Britney can take thier time and enjoy themselves. In the wake of the unfortunate incident, Kanye West has given the family of Roberson $150,000. TMZ reports : West heard the story of Jemel Roberson — who was gunned down by police after stopping a drunken man with a gun — and wanted to do whatever he could to lessen the burden on his family. West donated $150,000 to Roberson’s family Friday, the goal originally placed on a GoFundMe account for Roberson’s family was $10,000. As we reported … Roberson was working security at Manny’s Blue Room Bar Sunday around 4 AM where several drunk customers were ordered out. One of those customers returned to the bar a short time later with a gun and opened fire. Reports say Roberson returned fire, subdued the gunman and held him at gunpoint until police arrived … but when the police officer got to the scene, he shot Roberson, killing him. The outlet adds that Roberson was working extra shifts just to secure enough money to make his son’s Christmas haul better this year. — Photo: Getty
