Idris Elba Named Sexiest Man Alive! (But Is He Really?)

He may or may not be the next James Bond. But even if Idris Elba never lands the role of the planet’s most famous secret agent, at least he now has earned one distinction that can never be taken away… … he’s the Sexiest Man Alive for 2018! According to the editors at People Magazine! The 46-year old rose to stardom as a businessman/drug dealer on HBO’s The Wire and has since gone on to portray Norse God and Asgardian gatekeeper Heimdall in Marvel’s Thor franchise. He has a sizzling accent, a ripped body and a face that … well… just look at that face. There’s no way this honor could have been a surprise for Elba, right? Wrong, apparently. “I was like, ‘Come on, no way. Really?’” the actor tells People of the label, adding: “Looked in the mirror, I checked myself out. I was like, ‘Yeah, you are kind of sexy today.’ But to be honest, it was just a nice feeling. It was a nice surprise – an ego boost for sure.” Past Sexiest Men Alive (below) have included George Clooney, Blake Shelton Chris Hemsworth, Brad Pitt and Mel Gibson, among many others. In this case, the handsome reveal was made on Monday night’s episode of the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “It’s amazing! I’m really, really happy with that,” Elba said opposite the host. “Thank you so much People magazine for making me sexiest man in the world. My mum is going to be very, very proud.” On Twitter, meanwhile, Elba accepted the praise and the recognition, while also sending out an important message. “Who’d have thought it! Thank you @people & all the fans for naming me #SexiestManAlive,” he wrote in reply, concluding: “Don’t forget to grab your issue this week…  I’m honoured & thankful. What’s even more important is your vote in the midterm elections. As such, the Internet was rather thrilled with Elba’s victory, with one person resorting to all-caps to exclaim: “IDRIS ELBA IS FINALLY GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES.” And others clearly feel the same way. Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who Survived Double Elimination Night?

Dancing with the Stars is gearing up for its big finish in the coming weeks.  As such, Monday’s episode sent not one, but two couples home. Surely that whad to spell the end of the line for Grocery Store Joe and Bobby Bones, right?  Well, this is Dancing with the Stars, and the voting has never made that much sense, so let’s run down the performances from the episode.  John Schneider and Emma Slater – Jazz – “Thank God I’m a Country Boy” by John Denver John started the season off in a rough spot, but he’s really picked up the pace over the last several weeks and has narrowed the gap in scoring department with some of the others.  John admitted that he was still cut up about his divorce and that it would be great to see his kids, but it seems there’s a divide in his family right about now.  The performance was fun, and energetic, further confirming that he’s improving. The judges noted that there was an improvement and voted accordingly.  Judges’ Score: 25/30 Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe – Rumba – “Every Little Thing” with a live performance by Carly Pearce Despite being middle of the pack when the season got underway, Evanna snagged a perfect score Monday night, and it meant she was officially in the big leagues.  Evanna was open about this track being personal for her, so it made sense that she channeled all of her energy into it.  Judges’ Score: 30/30 Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke – Charleston – “One Shot” by Hunter Hayes Juan Pablo and Cheryl were ecstatic that they secured a perfect score last week, and aimed to keep up the pace in this crucial week.  We didn’t expect any lees for them, and their Charleston oozed elegance and creativity.  Judges Score: 30/30 Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson – Tango – “Burning Man” by Dierks Bentley ft. brothers Osbourne Joe may be showing signs of life in the ballroom, but he’s still way below where he should be at this stage of the competition.  From missed steps to a lack of dancing ability, he should have really been sent home weeks ago.  Judges’ Score: 21/30 Milo Manheim and Witney Carson – Foxtrot – “Born to Love You” with a live performance by LANCO Milo and Witney have dominated the competition from the get-go, and that’s in large part down to their chemistry.  The Foxtrot was fast-paced and only showed that these two are the ones to beat at the end of the line.  Judges’ Score: 29/30 DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold – Viennese Waltz, “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton Is there a cuter pairing than DeMarcus and Lindsay? They bring their A-game every single week on the ballroom floor, and this Viennese Waltz was no different.  Len noted, however, that there was an issue with the footwork from DeMarcus, and he made a great point.  They could get a perfect score if DeMarcus went all the way with his footwork.  Judges’ Score: 27/30 Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten – Samba – “Ladies in the ’90s” with a live performance by Lauren Alaina Consistency is key, especially if you’re at the top of your game, and this duo turned up the heat with another sizzling performance.  There was not one thing to hate about the performance, and it’s becoming increasingly clear that it’s going to be a tough battle to the finish line.  The couple also confirmed they shared their first kiss, so the showmance was well and truly a thing! Judges’ Score: 29/30 Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess – Viennese Waltz – “Can’t Help Falling in Love” with a live performance by Chris Janson Bobby and Sharna were less than impressed with their middle of the road scores last week, so they opted to switch things up in a big way.  Thankfully, the country theme helped them turn in their best performance in weeks.  Judges’ Score: 24/30 John and Emma, DeMarcus and Lindsay, and Evanna and Keo were the only couples in jeopardy.  But we had to say goodbye to John and Emma and DeMarcus and Lindsay.  Yikes.  What are your thoughts on the latest elimination? Trappa MadeIt, NBA YoungBoy, & Moneybagg Yo Drop The Lyric Video For ‘Stormin’ (Premiere)

North Carolina rapper Trappa MadeIt teamed up with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Moneybagg Yo for the first single off his forthcoming EP,  Already Rich . A fire collaboration, “Stormin” is all about making it out of the trenches, as the trio raps about beef, getting money, and hitting rock bottom. Today, they release their lyric video, premiered by  Global Grind ; watch up top. For those of you who don’t know Trappa MadeIt, he is a rapper, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer who has been honing his craft for a really long time. At just 10 years old he learned how to play the piano and drums by watching other musicians at church.  Trappa grew up fast, as he also started doing his best to support his family at a really young age. As a teen he’d earned the nickname “Trappa” from his old neighborhood, as people mocked him for selling anything he could to make ends meet and survive. Though he didn’t find it funny at the time, but can laugh at it in retrospect, Trappa recalls selling toilet paper and fortune cookies when times got rough .  On the Baton Rouge side of things, you’ve most likely heard of Louisiana rapper NBA YoungBoy as he has definitely been making a name for himself as of late. Best known for his song “Outside Today,” YoungBoy released his debut studio album Until Death Call My Name back in April, boasting features from Offset , Lil Uzi Vert , Future , Lil Baby , and Birdman . In September, he quietly dropped his mixtape Decided and apart from one Trippie Redd feature, it was a solo venture. YoungBoy has also been under fire after the alleged assault of his ex-girlfriend Jania, not to mention his long history of trouble with the law. Moneybagg Yo is also doing his thing, as he just released his full-length debut Reset on November 3. The Memphis rapper showed out with a whole onslaught of features— J. Cole , YG , Kevin Gates , Jeremih , and more make appearances on the album. Update: Authorities Say Sutton Tennyson Was Shot Multiple Times In Garage, No Arrest Made

Prince Williams/ATLPics.net Sutton Tennyson Shooting Update Police are releasing more details on the shocking murder of Angela Simmons’ ex-fiance. According to The AJC , authorities Sutton Tennyson was gunned down Saturday night in his Southwest Atlanta home. They add that Tennyson’s body was found with multiple gunshot wounds inside his garage. Police add that a preliminary investigation suggests that Tennyson was talking in the driveway with another man when “the conversation escalated” and the man shot him multiple times. The alleged shooter left the scene in a car and so far no arrest has been made. Angela revealed that today, November 5, would’ve been Tennyson’s birthday. She also shared a video of her son Sutton Tennyson, Jr. watching a video of his late father. Her siblings JoJo Simmons and Vanessa Simmons also extended their condolences over his passing. “I can’t sit here and lie and say we were close like brothers,” wrote JoJo. “What I will say is every time I encountered you we had good conversations and I never personally had an issue with you. NOBODY DESERVES DEATH.” “Literally at loss for words my heart breaks for my sister and nephew,” wrote Vanessa. Alaskan Bush People: Gabe Brown and Raquell Rose Are Getting Married!

Back in August, Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown married Rhain Alisha in a beautiful, low-key ceremony. Now it’s another member of the Brown family’s turn. This time, it’s Gabe Brown — who filed for a marriage license before anyone heard a word about an engagement! RadarOnline reports that Gabe Brown is either married already — or about to be. A clerk at the Marriage License Office in Okanogan, Washington says that Gabe and his girlfriend got their marriage papers last month. “Gabriel Brown and Raquell Pantilla filed for a marriage license in person on October 8,” the clerk confirms. Raquell is not unfamiliar to fans who follow the Brown family on social media. In fact, it was Gabe’s youngest sister Rain who revealed Gabe’s relationship with Raquell “Rose” Pantilla. Rain has joked about beinga  third wheel, but she and Raquell have described each other as the best of friends. A source close to the Brown family didn’t quite confirm Gabe’s marriage, but didn’t exactly deny it, either. “They have been spending a lot of time together,” the family source acknowledged. The insider affirmed that “really likes her.” We’ve all been able to tell that much just from watching them on social media. Just look at this photo that Gabe shared of his and Raquell’s hands forming a heart together. Now, as we were all so recently reminded with Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin, a marriage license can be a little ambiguous. We looked it up, and Washington state law says that a marriage license has a three-day waiting period. (That, folks, is to prevent people who are blitzed out of their minds from having impulsive weddings with someone they just met) After those three days are over, the couple has 60 days in which to have their wedding. After that, if they have not held a wedding, the marriage license becomes invalid. If our understanding that this gives Gabe and Raquell a total of 63 days in which to tie the knot is correct, they must hold their wedding by December 10. Just because Gabe and Raquell need to hold a wedding between October 11 and December 10 doesn’t mean that it has to be large. Noah’s wedding, after all, was a pretty small event. It is entirely possible that Gabe and Raquell have already had a wedding somewhere on the Brown family’s private, spacious homestead. If your dad buys 435 acres of land , we sure hope that there’s enough room for you to get married on it. If so, we hope that they’ll make an announcement about it soon. But they still have an entire month — and some change — to hold that wedding. Maybe it hasn’t happened yet. Gabe Brown has not always been so lucky in love. In late November of last year, Rain warned her fans and followers that an imposter was pretending to be Gabe Brown . This imposter was catfishing fans, some of whom developed real feelings for the fake Gabe. Months later, when fans learned of Gabe’s relationship with Raquel, some accused Gabe of seducing them — having ignored Rain’s warning. These fans may have seen Rain’s warning but refused to believe that they were being catfished. We’re glad that Gabe and Raquell were able to get past that. Still, Gabe and Raquell have only been dating for … possibly less than a year. Though Raquell has been getting along well with the Brown family — especially with Rain — some wonder if they’re rushing things. It’s always a little surprising when a couple goes from “dating” to “married” (or close enough) without any real engagement in between. But sometimes, couples just know. Seen On The Scene: Demi Lovato Spotted In Beverly Hills After Rehab Stint

Source: C Flanigan/Getty Images Demi Lovato Out Of Rehab Following Near-Fatal Drug Overdose Demi Lovato has been spotted out of rehab and we’re hoping it’s a solid sign that she is doing better. The famed singer had fans, friends, and family worried when she was rushed to a hospital after overdosing at her home in Los Angeles back in July. Now, in photos obtained by TMZ , she looks sober and happy. The site reports: Demi hit up Matsuhisa restaurant in Bev Hills Saturday night. We’re told she and a guy were having a great time inside the super expensive sushi joint, happy, smiling and laughing through dinner. We don’t know who the guy is … but she definitely had a great time with him. The mystery man seen in the photos with her is reportedly clothing designer,  Henry Levy. Demi was in rehab for 90 days, beginning in August, and according to the site she took her time there very seriously. Before going through treatment, Demi addressed her fans in a statement . I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet. I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well. To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time. I want to thank my family, my team, and the staff at  Cedars-Sinai who have been by my side this entire time. Without them I wouldn’t be here writing this letter to all of you. I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. Let’s keep her in our prayers.

Sutton Tennyson , the father of Angela Simmons’ 2 year-old son, was killed at his home this past weekend. According to TMZ, Sutton was speaking with another man in his driveway and the conversation ended in gunshots before the man left. Related:  Angela Simmons Shares Some Big News on Instagram Angela took to Instagram to share her thoughts.   Related:  Angela Simmons Confirms Pregnancy With Baby Bump Photo She also shared a heartfelt video of their son, Sutton Jr., watching videos of him and his father.   The two were engaged in early 2016. Angela later announced, in 2017, that the engagement was off. Sutton was 37. We send our condolences to the family.

Jill Duggar: I Love Derick Dillard More Than I Love Our Kids!

So Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard … Things have been pretty weird for them lately, huh? Well, they’ve been weird for years, but that’s just how things go in Duggar relationships. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that things have been different. It all started several months ago when rumors began swirling that Derick was cheating on Jill . The rumors started with anonymous claims about his unfaithfulness, then when Duggar fans and haters began to notice, that’s when things really started heating up. And Jill and Derick haven’t done too much to fight those rumors — quite the opposite, actually. A couple of months ago, Jill shared a photo of her bible, and everyone quickly noticed that she had an entire passage about adultery highlighted . In the caption of that photo, she wrote that she was praying for Derick, which … not a great sign. Last month, she shared another photo of more reading material — this time, she had a book about boundaries and creating them with toxic people in your life . Interesting, right? But now, in a brand new post, she’s changing her tune a bit. And it sure is nauseating. Along with the photo, she wrote a sickeningly sweet caption that she kicked off with a “man of my dreams” hashtag. (Sad dreams, Jill, but OK.) She then thanked him “for being my man and my best friend!” “Love you!” she continued. “When I count my blessings, you’re at the top of my list!” “So grateful to God for you!” She wrapped things up with some kiss emojis and a “so in love” hashtag. For one, it’s kind of strange that she straight up said that Derick is her number one blessing, huh? Like, “sorry, Israel and Samuel, Mommy loves Daddy more than you.” For two, pretty much no one was here for this silliness. “In what universe does a girl/young woman ‘dream’ of marrying a lazy, bigoted, chronically unemployed grifter who drifts from job to job and resorts to GoFundMe scams to support her and her kids ?” one of her followers asked. Another person said that instead of being the man of her dreams, Derick is more likely “a man of your nightmares!” “I am not really sure what you see in that man,” yet another doubtful fan wrote. “He is soo full of himself!! The god I believe in would not hate or chastize a person for being gay or transgender .” Other people pointed out that everything Jill said is really the kind of thing that would be much more meaningful if she actually said it to Derick instead of posting about it on social media. Still others insisted that she’s just trying to talk him up because everyone hates him . One of those people said that “Jill has to make him ‘look good,’ it’s a way of being in denial to herself that she is with the wrong person.” “But she has no choice bc of her family and their values of marrying strangers and arranged at that.” But whatever her motivations were for posting this, or however mistaken she may be, Derick is still into it. “Aw, I’m blessed beyond measure by you babe, and I’ll love you forever,” he responded to Jill on Twitter. “Thanks for being the best wife and mom to our boys!
