Gosh darn it, Samantha Markle! Just when we were starting to like you. Okay, fine, we weren’t starting to like you. But we were starting to think we were maybe done with your senseless, misguided, cruel and self-serving bashing of Meghan Markle and we’d therefore never need to write about you ever again. This was our hope after you actually apologized last week to half-sister Meghan Markle . Alas, our excitement over being done with you forever was apparently short-lived. Because now you’ve simply gone ahead and switched the target of your wrath from Meghan to her mother, Doria Ragland. Responding to praise for Ragland and Thomas Markle (Meghan and Samantha’s biological father) from some random Twitter user, Samantha went off on the woman her dad once married. “The world does not know that our dad raised her most of the time without the input of her mother especially from age 12 through high school and he gave her everything she had and is,” wrote this evil member of the Markle family. She added of Meghan: “She was never raised as an only child. Truth kids! He is amazing and successful and mags lie.” Meghan and her dad, of course, have been engaged in their own feud ever since the latter did not attend his daughter’s wedding. The Duchess has said very little on this topic, but Thomas has given many interviews in which he’s bashed his famous child as being ungrateful and selfish . Samantha has taken many opportunities to defend him. But she’s typically left Ragland out of her ridiculous rants. Yes, she wrote something back in May about Ragland talking to Oprah at the Royal Wedding, impyling that she was merely using Meghan for her major connections. However, this Twitter barrage was her most pointed attack against Doria by far. “Everything that you think you know from tabloids is a lie. Dad pretty much raised her most of her life on his own and Doria was not around very much,” added Samantha, alleging that Doria “ghosted” Markle for “30 years.” From there, however, Samantha made it clear that she still very much hates Meghan. Referring to the health ailment that befell Thomas literal days before The Royal Wedding , Samantha Tweeted to a fellow Internet user: “You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. She ignored my father through a heart attack. There is no excuse for it. “You would be mentally ill to think that is OK. Maybe you were the one who needs the counseling.” While this ugly family rivalry that continues to play out in public, Samantha isn’t shy about sharing her theories into why things are estranged. For the record, she claims, Meghan isn’t ignoring her because she has said all this horrible stuff. Instead… “She did not ignore everyone because they spoke out. Everyone spoke out because she started ignoring them. I apologized for my wisecracks. But not for pointing out that she is in the wrong.” Also: “[Meghan] has ghosted both sides of the family. She needs to earn our trust. It is the other way around. You don’t crap on an entire family and then run around crying that you cannot trust everyone.” That’s one way of looking at it, sure. Another way of looking at it is that Meghan hasn’t been going around crying at all. She’s been going around riding Prince Harry in an attempt to have a baby and living her absolute best life. In August, Ben Affleck entered rehab for the third time , following an intervention by his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner, and a sobriety coach. He has now completed his inpatient treatment. Now, he is finally breaking his silence for the first time since beginning his latest stint in rehab. Taking to Instagram on Thursday, Ben Affleck penned a serious message for his fans and followers. “This week,” he begins. “I completed a 40-day stay at a treatment center for alcohol addiction.” “And,” he continues, he will “remain in outpatient care.” That is good. Staying in rehab helps with sobering up and getitng support. The real test is when you return to the real world. “The support I have received from my family, colleagues, and fans means more to me than I can say,” Affleck writes. “It’s given me the strength and support,” he says, when he needed it most. He writes about how empowering it is “to speak about my illness with others.” Sometimes, the best way that you can help yourself is by doing your best to help others. “Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle,” he affirms. If a single stint in rehab could simply cure an addiction, well, the world would be a different place. “Because of that,” Affleck explains. “No one is never really in or out of treatment.” Sobriety becomes part of your life on a permanent basis. You can never let down your guard and relax, unfortunately. “It is a full-time commitment,” he adds. What matters to him is that he remain motivated and keep his eye on the prize. “I am fighting for myself and my family,” Affleck writes. “So many people have reached out on social media and spoken about their own journeys with addiction,” he continues. Sharing stories of personal struggles, even when those tales include setbacks, and build a powerful sense of commonality and community. “To those people,” Affleck writes. “I want to say thank you.” He credits them with lending him emotional support when he was at his most vulnerable. “Your strength is inspiring and supporting me in ways I didn’t think was possible,” he says. “It helps,” Affleck admits. “To know I am not alone.” Addiction is a serious problem for millions of Americans — and for countless millions more. He is far from alone. “As I’ve had to remind myself, if you have a problem, getting help is a sign of courage,” he continues. It is important, he notes, that asking for help is perceived as wise and brave, “not weakness or failure.” He is absolutely right. If society shames people for seeking help, no one can ever receive treatment. It’s a real relief that Affleck is taking this seriously now that he has completed his stint in rehab . People who struggle with addiciton can sometimes convince themselves that it’s in the past, only to relapse the moment that their lives experience setbacks. No one wants that for Ben Affleck. Least of all Ben Affleck himself. By sharing his journey with fans in an open message like this, perhaps he will feel that he has a larger support network this time around. We hope so. The relationship between Kailyn Lowry and Chris Lopez has seen more than its fair share of ups and downs. Beginning when Lopez dumped Lowry while she was pregnant , Teen Mom 2 obsessives have been fixated on Lux’s parents — which is interesting, as Chris doesn’t even appear on the show. Still, Kail’s comments and her social media interactions with Lopez have offered plenty of grist for the gossip mill. Kail has called Chris a deadbeat dad and accused him of misleading his Instagram followers by posting pics in which it looks as though he’s a part of Lux’s life. For his part, Lopez has accused Lowry of lying to her fans and intentionally misrepresenting him for the sake of creating TV-friendly drama. Yes, at one point, it was a very ugly situation, but remarkably, Kail and Chris have managed to turn their co-parenting relationship around. They may not be besties, but they recently stunned fans when they cordially collaborated on Lux’s first birthday party. Earlier this week, Chris shocked TM2 aficionados once again when he took to Twitter to promote Kail’s latest memoir. “Grab a copy of A Letter of Love if you haven’t, I tried to act like I didn’t want to read it…but I did lol,” Lopez tweeted. “And even though it’s things about me I may not agree with, overall proud of her! [I don’t know] [about] y’all but I don’t know many people that have 4 published books lol.” The man has a point. Unless you used to hit the dive bars of Maine with a young Stephen King, you’ve probably never spent any time with a 26-year-old who’s penned multiple bestsellers. And Chris deserves a good deal of credit for promoting his ex’s latest, because he doesn’t always come off as the greatest guy in this book. “I’ve had my bedroom window broken while the baby was asleep with me in the room,” Lowry writes of a dark time that occurred after one of her many breakups with Lopez. “My back door had been broken while all of my kids were at home, and I’ve had s**t about me told to my children.” Hard to come back from something like that, but it looks like Kail and Chris are doing their best. (As a reminder of how bad things once were, the pic above shows Chris burning a copy of one of Kail’s books.) Of course, this situation will likely lead to more rumors that Lopez and Lowry are back together , but we doubt either of them are too bothered by that. The hunky star surprised a lucky (very, very lucky) audience with his presence when he introduced a special showing of the Creed II trailer for the first time. Jordan stars as Adonis Creed in the highly anticipated sequel directed by Steven Caple Jr. (who fills in for Ryan Coogler this round). Like it’s predecessor, Adonis faces the biggest fight of his life. But this time around, so much more is at stake as he faces off against the son of the man, Ivan Drago, who killed his father in the Rocky franchise. Adonis, who now has a child, struggles with balancing his family life and fulfilling his legacy. Jordan underwent intense workouts to achieve his Creed body, which well see on screen as well in a familiar Rocky-like essence. “It was tough on my body this time around,” Jordan told IGN , “cause I’m a little bit older. I’m not saying I’m too far gone, but at 31 things are a lot different than at 26, 27. It’s just getting back into boxing shape. Boxing shape is a different thing. Just spending hours in the gym. Doing the rounds, working on your hand coordination, throwing punches. Diet was a lot stricter on this one; because I had to lean out as much as I could. Yes. I n an apparent desperation move, former Chicago Police Officer Jason Van Dyke took the witness stand Tuesday and said whatever he could to convince a jury that he was justified in gunning down LaQuan McDonald , a Black teen, nearly four years ago. See Also: LaQuan McDonald Trial Live Updates As Ex-Chicago Cop Jason Van Dyke Faces Life For Killing Black Teen Van Dyke, who’s white, wiped tears from his eyes as he gave testimony that contradicted video evidence in the case, the Washington Post reported. The ex-officer claimed that 17-year-old McDonald kept “advancing” at him waiving a knife, so he had to keep firing until the teenager fell to the ground. However, police dashboard camera video of the shooting shows McDonald walking away when Van Dyke fired 16 bullets at the teenager, continuing to fire even after the teen hit the ground. Van Dyke faces six counts of first-degree murder, 16 counts of aggravated battery and one count of official misconduct in McDonald’s death. The cover-up continues! Police officials faced allegations of covering up the shooting, with its account contradicting what dashboard camera video showed. On the evening of the incident, officers received a complaint about a suspect trying to break into vehicles, according to police officials. Two officers followed McDonald in their patrol car before calling for a backup officer who was equipped with a Taser. Van Dyke, one of the backup officers who arrived, allegedly got out of his vehicle with his gun drawn and started shooting as McDonald moved slightly away from him. The defense is expected to wrap up its case on Wednesday. We have a new update on Demi Lovato. While promoting her new movie Subject 16 on Sunday, Lovato’s sister, Madison De La Garza, spoke to Millennial Hollywood host Dakota T. Jones about the state of her famous sibling, who has been in a rehab facility since late July. Right before entry, of course, Lovato nearly died from a drug overdose . “She’s working really hard on her sobriety and we’re all so incredibly proud of her,” De La Garza said of Demi, adding: “It’s been crazy for our family. It’s been a lot.” We really can’t begin to imagine. Just a couple weeks ago, however, Lovato’s mother tried to help us understand what this has all been like, opening up herself for the first time since she nearly lost her daughter. “I literally start to shake a little bit when I start to remember what happened that day,” admitted Dianna De La Garza. She added in this interview that Demi was in “bad shape” when she first saw the artist in the hospital and “we just didn’t know for two days if she was going to make it or not.” Lovato, as fans likely know, was sober for six years. She confessed in a song this past spring that she recently fell off the wagon and begged for followers to forgive her for this mistake. Naturally, supporters then came out in loud troves and relayed their love for Lovato over all forms of social media. On the morning of July 24, however, Lovato came home after a night partying with friends and sent a text message to her drug dealer. He’s even talked openly about this exchange and arrangement . We still don’t know what substance(s) Lovato took that morning, but it’s been confirmed at this point that she was discovered unconscious in her bed several hours later by an assistant. The assistant proceeded to call 911. Demi was revived by paramedics… rushed to the hospital… and eventually moved to a treatment center. We’ve heard that this center is located in Utah, but we cannot say that for certain. Throughout this entire ordeal, we’ve been keeping Lovato in our thoughts and prayers. “We’ve been through a lot together, and every single time- I mean if you read my mom’s book, you would know – every time we go through something, we always come out on the other side a hundred times stronger than before,” Demi’s 16-year-old sister added. “So, we’ve just been so thankful for everything – for the little things.” Well said, Madison. About two weeks after her overdose, this is what Lovato wrote on Instagram: I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet. I now need time to heal and focus on my sobriety and road to recovery. The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. One Florida man is on a mission to change this, thanks to a viral picture that’s getting some major attention. Donte Palmer , a father of three, was out eating with his family at Texas Roadhouse one Saturday when he had to change his 1-year-old son’s diaper. However, like many men’s restrooms, Palmer could not find a changing table for his son. “The argument is that they don’t exist,” Palmer said in a phone chat with Global Grind . “But they do exist in some areas, but we need more of them.” With no changing table, Palmer was forced to get creative. He assumed a squatting position while stretching his kid across his lap so he could change their diaper. Palmer’s 12-year-old son Isaiah, who he calls his diaper assistant, accompanied his dad to the restroom and while Donte was in the process of changing the diaper, Isaiah snapped a pic. When they returned to their table, the whole family had a good laugh about the picture. Two weeks later, Palmer realized the funny moment could be used for a great cause. “It dawned on me, you know what, that is a powerful picture. Why don’t we have changing tables?” Palmer uploaded the pic his son took to Instagram with the hashtag #SquatForChange and he tagged The Shade Room. Once they reposted , Palmer received love from all over. The post gained over 500,000 likes and people like D.L. Hughley , T.I. , and Tyrese voiced their support for Palmer and the need for changing tables in men’s restrooms. “Y’all already know where I’m at with it all…..None of this is fair towards fathers,” Tyrese said in the comment section for The Shade Room. Other fathers on social media have even joined in on the #SquatForChange movement, posting pictures of themselves changing their kids’ diapers in the squatting position. Now that Palmer has people’s attention, he plans to continue advocating for fathers with a non-profit called 3 Boys 1 Goal. According to their GoFundMe page, the org will have a “two-prong approach focused on researching and navigating state policies that directly impact fathers and their functioning as such, as well as creating a safe haven to provide resources and support to underprivileged young Black fathers that will directly impact their children.” Palmer — who also serves as a high school teacher — says he’s in the middle of fleshing out the specifics for the non-profit with friends, but he has high hopes. “One thing we don’t want to do is downgrade the title and the roles of a mom because moms are superheroes,” Palmer said. “But the thing we want to do is show that men are here, we do exist, and we want to be highlighted in those areas and to just make fathers better.”
