Rihanna Dethrones Lady Gaga on Facebook

Lady Gaga may be the highest-earning, top-selling and best-known woman in pop music today, but Rihanna has more “Likes” on Facebook. This week, Rihanna accumulated enough Facebook fans to surpass Gaga and claim the throne as the platform’s top ranking female celebrity . According to their Facebook stats, as of Saturday, Rihanna had 40,699,853 likes, and Lady Gaga had 40,611,908, giving RiRi a slight lead. Of course, Gaga has her by close to five million fans on Twitter, so Rihanna can’t exactly lay claim to being the queen of all social media. Shakira is the diva with the third most Facebook followers. Rihanna , Lady Gaga, and Shakira hold the No. 5, 6, and 8 positions overall. There are three men in the top 10: Eminem (No. 3, 43,367,713 likes), Michael Jackson (No. 7, 38,069,882), and Justin Bieber (No. 10, 33,035,903).

Tracy Morgan Returns to the Stand-Up Stage

For the first time since he caused an uproar in Nashville, and then proceeded to make a round of apologies and appearances , Tracy Morgan took to the stage on Saturday night for a stand-up routine. He appeared on stage at Caroline’s in NYC and immediately told the audience he was gonna be “mellow.” But that’s far from the style that has made the 30 Rock star famous, of course, as went on deliver jokes about masturbation, ejaculation, the female anatomy and other topics that had the crowd in stitches. About 45 minutes in, Morgan said: “You’re all sitting here waiting for me say something about the controversy, right? I’m 42, man, and now all of a sudden I’m homophobic?” He then joked: “My father was the lead singer in the Village People. I would sing the ‘Y.M.C.A.’ the loudest. I was sitting right there when he wrote the song.” Morgan shied away from any overt references to homosexuality, but he did re-tell a different joke to which Kevin Rodgers – the Facebook poster who originally called attention to the comedian’s rant earlier this month, and who hugged it out with Tracy during a recent press confrence – objected a few weeks ago. Regarding the joy of making women choke during oral sex, he riffed: “You gotta make that mascara run.” Witnesses say Morgan was mostly himself during the set – still unpredictable, still raunchy – and concluded the routine with the following message: “Gay, straight… I don’t care. Pauly D: Jersey Shore Cast "Irreplaceable"

Despite reports of their imminent replacement at the end of the next season’s filming, the Jersey Shore cast is not going anywhere just yet. “I think we’re irreplaceable,” Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio said Friday. At an appearance at the Palms in Vegas, he adds, “I don’t think they could replace us. They’d just be people trying to be like us, anyway.” On Friday, MTV denied the reports, with a spokesman they have “no plans to recast the show,” which recently finished filming Season 4 in Italy. “It’s more of the guys getting into the drama,” Pauly said of the gang’s adventures in the old country. “We’re used to it with the girls, but this season it’s a lot of the guys … I think it was as much drama as there was in Miami.” “Yeah, we got ourselves into some serious crap, but somehow we always end up OK. There was some serious stuff going on there.” Season 4 begins August 4. The filming of Jersey Shore Season 5 is underway in Jersey. Will there be another season beyond that? Mariah Carey Tweets First Baby Pic

Okay, so you can’t see her adorable little face. But Mariah Carey teased fans on Twitter Sunday with a fabulous snapshot of her baby daughter Monroe. “This is baby Monroe saying ‘no pictures dahhhhling’ at 7+1/2 weeks,” Carey wrote beneath a photo of her little girl’s hand, raised as if she were trying to shield her glamorous self from a pack of would-be paparazzi. “Oh dear.” Pretty funny: Perhaps Monroe’s dad, Nick Cannon, wasn’t kidding when he described Monroe and her twin brother Moroccan, born on their anniversary in April. “My son is laid back like me,” he said. “My daughter’s a diva like her mom! When my daughter wants something, she’ll let you know immediately.” Hey, it’s hard to blame the little gal. Sometimes when the celebrity gossip media gets too close, you gotta set up boundaries early.

Justin Bieber’s old haircut Based on reports today, 17-year-old pop singer, Justin Bieber, lost 80,000 fans on Twitter, after cutting his hair. Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so last week, before the Twitter plunge. The new choppy hairstyle is not flattering on the young singer and apparently his audience thinks the same. Justin Bieber’s new haircut Oh well, it’s just hair, it will grow out, but styling is important in the public eye. It’s not about being vain, but looking finished, polished and presentable. No word on what the Bieber has to say about his audience’s reaction to his new do. And one more thing. I say it in the kindest way possible – pull your pants up, Biebs. No need to give girls that kind of a show (or Kim Kardashian for that matter). Side Bar: Ironically, the incompetent, bumbling head of the FBI, Robert S. Mueller, said Bieber should get a haircut in a ridiculous speech he gave weeks ago. So much for his instincts, then. Justin Bieber is reprising his guest starring role on the show “ CSI ,” and he posted the photo above from the set today of himself with a super scary looking black eye! Here’s what Justin also posted about being on set: On set…where? let’s just say Im back to my evil ways. Justin plays the character Jason McCann, who gets in a bit of trouble and calls Nick (George Eads) to let him know that he needs help in the new episode titled “Targets of Obsession.” The new episode will air on February 17, 2011 at 9/8c on CBS.

Selena Gomez Recently, Disney actress, Selena Gomez was spotted kissing and hugging Bieber in the Caribbean, with him later groping her behind, which prompted death threats from his fans on Twitter. Yea, they want to beat that little girl down. Note to self: do not under any circumstances stand anywhere near Selena Gomez.
